The best restaurants in South Gloucestershire South West

We went to Chopstix Cribbs Causeway on Friday at around 5pm - the menu still featured items that they no longer sell. We decided on alternatives to be told “we might not have that at this time” and the fountain drinks machine was also out of order. The food that was out looked crusty and dry, the counters weren’t particularly clean and they were flicking egg fried rice into everything. We abandoned our order and went to Itsu instead. Very disappointing as I’ve had 2 great experiences here but sadly won’t be returning

Walking along the river, we dropped in for lunch. Good food, comfortable and they even rustled up a couple of sausages for the dog. We'll be back.

Lovely food, but my only complaint is that when the food was ready under the heat lamps, it took a while for staff to serve this to customers. Apart from that everything else was brilliant

We had a big family birthday with a sizeable table of 15 and the team ensured it went off without a hitch. Even when they got busy, the team were attentive and extremely pleasant. Highly recommend them. Oh and the kids play area ensure the adults could catch up while keeping an eye on the kids.

Friendly and professional staff. With food that's a chefs-d'œuvre in its own right, piquant starters and surfeit mains, this business is undoubtedly the foremost hidden gem of the area.

According to your website your carvery is open 12-7.30 however we walked in at 3pm and was told it was closed until 5. We drove a way to come for the carvery only to have to leave as the carvery was closed. If you're going to close between 3-5 you should not say 12-7.30. As we then had to drive further to find another place to eat.

New manager and really lovely food, service and atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble. Recommend the children’s pizza. Love the cheesy chips sides and the 4 layer chocolate fudge cake is “happy making” I’m told.

Manager / owner is absolutely lovely. Staff are nice. Recommend coming here for the nice experience with the people. Place is clean. It's a Costa, food and drink are standard.

Food was lovely and very good portions. Issue was resolved quickly and professionally.

They used a family table with children to leave the tray with the food of a completely different large table behind them to serve. Also they believed that your used cutlery can be left on top of the table without any plate underneath for you to reuse with next dish. I was embarrassed to bring my visitors. Very different experience last time when I book as company. Waiter was nice.

Have to agree. Great food, large portions, good flavours. Attentive staff and byob. Easy parking and excellent value.

What a friendly bunch ! The food is delicious and we always feel very welcome 2 staff members stand out going above and beyond to make the experience excellent James /maya well done to them.
