Polite professional staff and service

Good range of food quality food and drink available and nice coffee. I was part of a large group for a birthday brunch. Although my food was served first it was not as hot as I'd like. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good on dietary requirements.

These lounges never disappoint!! Although it’s always very busy, we always manage to get a table either inside or outside. We never have to wait very long for food to arrive either and we went on a Saturday.

The lounge group of restaurants I have visited are ,as a vegan gluten free couple,are exceptional and the bolero is no exception,the vegan and gf options are many and excellent quality at a good price, highly recommended

We visited on 12 september 18.30. We were welcomed by a lovely lady whose name I forget. All the staff were fab we only had time for q house and a drink but service food and ambiance were brilliant. Well done!

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good value & an extensive menu. Being a boozy, spicy Vegan coupled with a teetotal carnivore, makes Bolero our favourite eatery in Yate.

Really nice place. Just had an issue of a dripping air-con unit but we moved. We chose a selection of six tapas and dipped into all of them. Very tasty and the Prawns were divine!

Good food, especially for the price. The tapas deal is a big hitter for us. The service is very friendly, but ordering on the app makes life very easy. Love it, we're regulars, probably one of the best casual places in Yate.

Wasn’t too bad the food was okay but quite pricey. The atmosphere is good and the decor of the place is really unique and very lovely. Been there a couple times for lunch and brunch with both family and friends not too bad.

Great food and service as usual at Lounges. We did find it very noisy today - it would be great if there was some acoustic damping.

First visit, wowed. Came due to vegan guest, so impressed. Staff were great, polite , helpful, cheerful, seemed happy to work here. Very attentive - is brought us steak knives for flat bread. Delicious and varied menu. such choice for vegan or non, we so enjoyed this meal. Thank you, we will be back.

I absolutely love the lounge chain restaurants. Great variety on the menus- and can cater to all types of dietary requirements/allergies. As a Coeliac it can be nervous trying a new place to eat as it can be worrying not knowing how they handle your allergy- however they did fab! All of their gluten free menu is prepared in a separate area of the kitchen to reduce the risk of cross contamination. I've eaten here a handful of times now, and haven't had any issues. bonus for their gluten free desserts too! It's nice to have an option that isnt just Fruit Salad

UPDATE JULY 2024 - Rating still stands today. Returned for lunch and was not disappointed. Highly recommend. Went to the Café for brunch, it was busy. The music at a good volume, not too loud. Staff at the bar were polite, friendly and helpful. We had a Veggie and a Lounge Breakfast, two mugs of Caramel Latte and a large glass of freshly squeezed OJ. I exchanged a tomato for a hash brown with no fuss at all. We sat in the window at table #1, it was clean, tidy and the chairs were comfortable. Napkins and cutlery were placed on the table shortly after ordering. The coffee arrived after approximately 4-5 minutes, they tasted delicious. Not too much syrup. The food arrived shortly afterwards, about another 5-10 minutes later. The food was lovely, everything on our plates was cooked perfectly. The halloumi & sweetcorn fritters served with the Veggie Breakfast were sublime. On the Lounge Breakfast the Smoked Back Bacon and Sausage Patty were very tasty. Once we had eaten our food the plates were taken away promptly. Overall a very comfortable and pleasant experience. Definitely worth a visit, we will be going back in the near future.

Came for breakfast while staying at Thr White Lion. Excellent pancakes with bacon, great coffee and pleasant service and atmosphere. Can't fault it. Many thanks.

Popped in for a quick coffee whilst grandson was in gymnastics class in the leisure centre.

We called in quite by chance and I must say we were very impressed. the staff were smashing and couldn’t do enough for us and our doggy companion.Please keep up the good work,the food was great too.

Really lovely soya latte. One of the best in the area. Nice big Gluten free and Vegan menus. If you are both GF and DF they are happy to tweek menus for your allergies.

As with every other lounge I've visited: good food, lacking service, turn up the lights! But you know what you are getting.

Lovely chain restaurant. We went for my friends birthday. We have a vegetarian in our group who loved the place. Sadly her favourite item was missing for her meal. Staff were very apologetic and did their best to accommodate. Staff gave the birthday boy a free drink on the house. The food was delicious. I had a shredded beef brisket with chorizo which I really enjoyed. As part of the Monday deal we also got free puddings with our mains. Afterwards we found a nice low table at the front and played one of our boardgames which staff didn't mind. Overall it was a great visit. My only issue is that mine and my partners food came out 5 or so minutes before everyone else's did. (Other tables food was being delivered while ours sat on our table waiting for our friends). While they only had one chef that night, I would rather they kept our food under a heat lamp rather than it sit on our table going cold. Otherwise this would have been a 5 star.

This lounge is typical of the chain with friendly staff who go out of their way to help. It's clean and functional with space between most tables to pass dinners on both sides. There is a couple of paths for those with mobility issues or pushchairs to get to the bar or toilet / baby changing rooms.

Huge breakfast, ate till I had stomach ache!! Cold though, needed some heating on.

Polite, friendly and attentive staff. Food (brunch/breakfast) was very tasty. Calorie information on menus helpful. Kids colouring offered and kids menu also very good. First time we've been in since pre-covid but will be back. Back for lunch today - excellent.

Had food with family for lunch. Food was lovely, had the bacon cheese burger and it was lush! The server was patient with the family and was so friendly. The atmosphere is so nice, calm and welcoming. I’ve recommended people I know to come here for food!

Great gluten free menu for my Daughter. I had a burger which was cooked to perfection and very tasty. Couple of issues are you can't book for less than 6 people and it's really noisy, it's a bit like eating in a school hall. Food made up for it though :)

Live the Lounge Brand. The menu always offers something a bit different whilst always offering the backbone of old favourites of you’re not feeling adventurous. All washed down by a great selection of booze and soft drinks. The only complaint is the chef eating in the middle of the restaurant. Yes, they deserve a break (more than any profession I know), but find a corner somewhere so I don’t have to watch you lick your fingers and then hope you wash your hands properly.

Lovely evening for birthday/mothers Day. The food was great, a couple of items were not available, but the service and atmosphere made up for that. The staff couldn't do enough to make sure our experience was a positive one. Thank you. we will be revisiting x

First time we have been in there on a evening for a meal. Not long to wait for a table. Food was lovely atmosphere good staff very friendly.

I went there for a coffee and cake and it was horrible. The coffee was ok but the cake had just been taken out of a fridge or something. It had an acquired taste and it was terrible. There was also no staff walking around serving customers and looking over the place so I could not raise it with them. I put a comment through their review questionnaire explaining this and no one bothered to contact me hence why the 1*.

Would definitely visit again. Great gluten free options. There was a small issue with one of our meals but despite being really busy the team handled it really well and got everything sorted. Excellent manager on duty.

I have been to Bolero Lounge several times since I have moved to yate. I love everything about it, from the staff to the food and atmosphere. Their butter chicken burgers are fantastic, and I would also recommend their nasi goreng. Any food you get from here is going to be good. I've also had their cocktails which I would also recommend. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is ordering their cheesy chips, as we were disappointed with the portion size and cheese amount for the price.

Caroline has got to know us in recent weeks - as has Tom, when we come in. I work as PA for two gentlemen with additional needs and both Tom and Caroline go out of their way to accommodate us. They know my gentlemen like certain tables, certain foods and drinks, even making sure we have teapots with matching lids - Caroline’s understanding and consideration in these small things that make our visit successful and enjoyable for my clients. My clients love going to Boleros because of the friendly, welcoming staff and atmosphere. Thank you

We've just been to the Bolero and despite new staff working there, the same high standard of food and service remains. It's always a friendly place with a very chilled atmosphere.

Generally average experience. Living in Bristol I am very familiar with the lounge's. Only downfall we were asked 3 times within 5 mins if the food was good

Asked for soup and panini but out of panini so had to have toast! All done with good humour and a refund so no complaints.

The Chilli brisket was far too hot. I like hot spicy food but this dish appeared to have had chilli added to excess so that it just hurt the mouth. The rice was ok, but I couldn't eat the meat.

Dropped in for a breakfast. It's not the cheapest but it was good quality food and coffee and you could taste the difference. Really enjoyed it.

I went here with my girlfriend. We both got the Bombay burger which was incredible very tasty, however I also ordered some halloumi fries. These were very bland and only 3 came out… for £6-7… which is just mental money for what it is in my opinion. Great service and nice staff with a nice atmosphere, just very dark.

Excellent ambience, service and food?

Dog friendly place with plenty of various seating options available. This is part of the Lounge chain, so expect a similar set up to of lounges... order via app. The food is good though and prices responsible. Service was good but it was a quiet period. My first time at this particular place but would certainly go back.

Good quality food using quality ingredients and served piping hot. Excellent attentive service.

Arrived having had a booking messed up elsewhere. Ordered breakfast via the QR code. When it arrived far more than I was expecting and hot/fresh and well seasoned. Absolutely stunning and highly recommended. Only criticism is it was quite chilly in the restaurant hence marked down on atmosphere.

I love the lounges, they are all over the place, great decor inside, cosy atmosphere and great food. My go to place for breakfast and lunches.

Nice staff not to bad on the prices

Fabulous lunch with family, we were a table of 6 a mix of. Vegan gluten free, gluten free we were on table 3 . Lunch for all of us was fabulous. I had a vegan tapas mix, 3 were gf and my sister was a breakfast and granddaughter was a 3 bowl mix as well. Alway had really good meal in the Yate branch and Abbey Wood

The Bolero Lounge is one of the better spots to eat in Yate. Despite being part of a chain, the food is decent, and the atmosphere is always good. The staff are usually very friendly. It’s a good place to meet with friends for a drink and enjoy some tapas to share. There’s also a quiz night, which is a nice event. I would say their burgers are probably their best food offering - we often get these via click and collect. My only criticism of them is the burgers themselves can be a little on the dry side - otherwise, they’re pretty tasty - and the chips do get cold quite quickly. It is the best takeout offering in the local vicinity, though.

Popped in for evening drink and dessert. Very cosy, staff really helpful despite it being busy. Vegan chocolate and raspberry torte was amazing. You wouldn't know it was dairy free 😊

Unexpected visit but what a lovely experience.

I shared some food issue with them, some items were cold and some others were dry over cooked, but sure this is a one off. What I would say is there price for drinks are high for tge area, also shame they changed their beers and ciders as the replacements are not great

1st Breakfast of Poached eggs were over cooked on a previous visit, complained bought another egg out exactly the same.The manager (Tom) invited me and my partner back 01/10/2023, the poached eggs were absolutely perfect my partners breakfast was superb

Great first experience of this place, The Lounge brand is pretty consistent but this was a special moment. Can't think of many places I'd rather enjoy a perfect sausage butty with a hot coffee on a chilly morning in between jobs.

My husband and I absolutely adore this place; it's become our regular spot to indulge in coffee and delicious food. The atmosphere here is simply wonderful—it provides the perfect setting for us to unwind and savour the moment. The service is consistently excellent, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and professional. I honestly can't find a single fault with this place, and we're eagerly looking forward to our next visit!

We have walked passed this place a few times, decided to pop in for dinner. We ordered the Halloumi burger, Bang Bang Chicken and the Buttermilk Chicken. Lime n soda, lemonade, Diet Coke. Buttermilk chicken was over cooked and dry, chips were good. Halloumi burger was good, well cooked and tasty. Bang Bang was lovely, raw chillis certainly gave it the bang. Great dish. Couple came in with 2 dogs, sat on the next table, dogs tail in the way, I moved not a big issue but can’t we keep em away from people eating food. When are people gonna realise we don’t all like dogs. Show a bit of consideration. To be fair not the restaurants fault. Decent meal, good price, dry chicken dropped a star.

Been here twice to get takeout food. Both times has been really nice and fresh. Partner is very fussy, so really nice that you can customise the order to fit requirements. Friendly staff and very welcoming.

Love the flexibility of this place. You can have a toasted teacake and a cocktail if you so wish 😀. Really dog friendly too. Brought my spaniel some water and a free sausage today 😀 Thank you!

Love it here - often busy and due high ceilings can be quite loud at times as popular with friends with youngsters. Great options for food/drinks; have loos. Order & pay at bar once seated and selection made. Quirky decor; relaxing lounge offering mixed seating, incl. outside.

My mother & I came here for lunch. The food was delicious & so were the cocktails & wine. The waiting staff were very polite & had a lovely mannerism. We will definitely come back again. I highly recommend.

Made very welcome. We only wanted a snack, service was good and the food was very enjoyable. Good atmosphere, clean and tidy. What more could anyone want? Will return.

Had lunch here on a busy Saturday. Even though it was busy, staff seated us quickly and we ordered via the QR code. Went for an evening Saturday meal as date night , ordered our food then the table next to us arrived with a very wet smelling dog , 10 minutes later the other side the same, not a great smell whilst eating a meal, this was an evening not an afternoon, not anti dogs at all but maybe a few’ no dog’s table’ required, the waitress hugging the wet dog made us leave

I'm a fan of the 'Lounges' and I've used the Bolero several times before. The food is usually reasonable, if a bit expensive. I tend to stick to the breakfast/Brunch menu but today I decided to try something different and chose the Bang Bang Chicken. £13.75 This was a mistake, It was very disappointing. Basically this was a crispy chicken burger sliced into three pieces and served with Noodles and stir fried veg. It could have been tasty but it wasn't, it didn't taste of anything. There was some sort of sauce which made one piece of chicken very soggy and a hint of peanut but the combination of flavours just didn't work and it tasted (I'm sorry to say ) unpleasant. I didn't recognise this as the same meal advertised on the Menu. There were a few red chilli slices but these carried no heat and this dish was more Pop Pop than Bang Bang. However, staff were friendly and efficient, venue was pleasant though the toy's they supplied to keep the kids happy need to be replaced. Blunt Crayons that dont draw aren't the best way of entertaining a child. In future I'll stick to the breakfast menu.

it was hamburger time. i asked for a hamburger and they brought it to me. i ate the hamburger. i also ate a chip 10/10

Our group of 22 swimmers had our Christmas Dinner party at the Bolero Lounge 6th December 2023 where we meet each Tuesday after swimming. We chose this venue because each week the staff always go above and beyond to make our visits so pleasant. The service was impeccable, the food lovely and value for money and everything was delivered with a smile making our evening just perfect. I hope the employers can retain this team of staff Elana the Manager and co for as long as possible they are great.
