Nando's Bristol - Cribbs Mall in South Gloucestershire

Dear Nando's Team, I am writing to express my disappointment following my visit from today to your restaurant in Cribbs Causeway. I ordered a burger and saw the server accidentally drop parts of it onto the plate. Instead of replacing the fallen ingredients, I watched him pick up the pickles and meat with his hands and throw them back into the sandwich. His colleagues were watching him do this, yet none of them raised any concern and it seemed as though this is something they do all the time, without any regard for proper food handling. This seemed very unprofessional and raised serious concerns about food hygiene, especially as I had no idea where his hands had been. He could have easily used a utensil to handle the ingredients instead. He brought the food to our table and when I politely mentioned that I had seen what he did, not only did he fail to apologize (a basic sign of courtesy) but he also seemed visibly bothered that I brought it up. His dismissive response, “Oh yeah, yeah…” did nothing to reassure me and only added to my disappointment. After waiting 20 minutes for my order, I then had to wait an additional 10 minutes as the burger was taken back to the kitchen. I can’t help but feel that they returned the same sandwich to me, which completely broke my trust. Watching this happen made it impossible for me to enjoy my food and I ended up eating with a sense of disgust rather than satisfaction. This experience has left me very disappointed and I don’t believe I will return to this location if this is the standard of food handling and service. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as I believe common-sense practices in hygiene and customer service should be paramount.

Even though it was a busy day on the weekend, the line was moving quick and we got a table faster than expected. Food is always great at nandos and the staff here are friendly.

Came in this afternoon (29/7), great food and portions. Staff were really friendly - very attentive. As we were leaving 5+ servers and said thank you and wished us a good afternoon. Lovely atmosphere with friendly and what looked like very relaxed and happy staff! Nice to see people in a good mood on a Monday afternoon.

Wow what a fabulous branch of Nandos!! We left cafe rouge opposite because of poor service didn’t expect a lot better from nandos because they were twice as busy- what a lovely surprise! Marina run a tight ship with all her staff on the ball serving quickly effortlessly and with a smile! What great customer service can only recommend for food service and value for money 10/10! Thank you to everyone that served us today you are all a credit to your company

Plenty of seating, with an overflow section outside, service was quick. Toilet facilities could be improved-felt cramped and it was very difficult for children to wash their hands as the sinks were so high- had to lift child up so they could access the hand washing facilities!

Usually like Nando’s but this one offers no option other than QR code ordering so went somewhere else - shame but important part of a restaurant experience is the service and this was poor from the get go

A disappointing first visit. Two of the three staff serious lack basic skills in waitressing. Am I allowed to say that nowadays? Am I offending someone somewhere? The first member of staff dumped empty glasses on our table and walked away, am I wrong to expect some communication from them? Maybe explaining to me where the drinks machine was and that I'm suppose to fill the glasses??? The second brought the food to the table...and that was it. They could clearly see that there was no cutlery on the table. Again am I asking too much for them to speak and tell us where the cutlery and sauces were??? Do they have training? Are they employed as waiters/waitresses? or just a means of transporting plates to the table? Has the role profile changed and nobodies told me??? Rant over.

Brilliant food and variety of dipping sauces, the staff and atmosphere were both lovely. We love Nandos wherever we go.

I don’t want to waste food (I think the chef feels the same), so I ate it without troubling the waitress who gave me a smile while serving this to me.

Great atmosphere and food. Always a good place to go. Only downside is that the prices have gone up a lot, but food still tasty.

We have had a very, very bad experience We ordered rotisserie chicken and the chicken was raw in the center , my wife asked for a meat and when she started cutting it it was frozen, it was really disgusting, We told the waiter and he replied very rudely that they were very busy, I will never go back to this place again, I don't upload the photos because I think it's not worth it, expensive and bad

The food is very delicious, you just have to ask well to order something good.

The chicken was not cooked will, and found some chicken feathers are still at the chicken. The table is uncleand and sticky , as i see for the time i spent nobody cleaning the tables. I think i will never come back again.

BEST NANDOS IN BRISTOL!! By far the best service I've had in camparsion to Longwell Green. The staff were exceptional and made sure my meal was as ordered, they made us laugh and served everything on time. The food was hot and soo delicious that I even ordered food to take home. Honestly, this branch has restored my faith in Nandos. Will definitely return.

Was greeted by Abby straight away and she even made me aware my laces were undone! She got me seated in the best spot possible. The food was amazingly cooked , was super quick and customer service was 10/10. Abby even complimented my T-shirt and said I smelt nice! Also the dirty fries were so tidy and scranny!

I wish there was a Nandos here in Washington state. When I visited my son and daughter-in-law, this was one of the best grilled chicken that I have had. There are plenty of different sauces to choose from. They are very liberal and generous in letting you have many varieties. Portions are also quite sizable. We shared three different dishes and very one left to go boxes because we could not finish everything. These is amazing and that atmosphere is very hip.

Good food, good service and unlimited soft drink for 3.50. Small glass therefore too many trips to the soft drink machine…

Customer service from the lady at the till was shocking. We went in and my wife chose the Beanie wrap, to which I was told they didn't have. No apology, just didn't have it. So I went back to wife, who then chose the chickpea wrap. I saw the lady and as I asked for it, all she did was shake her head at me. No apology, no verbal acknowledgement, no suggested alternatives. Just a shake of her head. We got up and left immediately, won't be going back if that's what they consider customer service.

Standard Nandos. Can order and pay from your table. Outside seats look into a soft play area, so if you're with kids, sit inside unless you fancy being pestered throughout your meal!

attendants uninterested in serving customers, we waited a long time to be served, we waited a long time for the food and when it arrived it was already cold .. horrible and humiliating for you to go to a place to feel good and the workers despise you just for being immigrant ..

Music was rather loud for a Resturant and my daughter found this difficult.

It's Nando's what else to say? The best surprise is to not having any surprise. A lot of space and the kids will love it.

Brilliant as Always. My favourite meal as Always.

The virtual queue services literally saved a huge chunk of waiting time. If it's crowded, make sure you enter the virtual queue by talking with an employee there and roam around and you will know when your table is ready. The food is really good if you like piri piri, a combination of tangyness and spice. I found the taste little polarising as me and my brother loved the taste, sister wasn't a great fan of it. However, chocolate brownie with vanilla was amazing. The service was also good and swift.

Staff were inattentive. Everything was filthy, including the floors and windows / balcony. Seat covers were dirty and falling apart. Food came out wrong twice.

Better than the one across the road at the Venue where you always seem to be told there's a wait. Here in the Mall we always get seated without a wait. Staff are friendly & service is fast. We don't visit often but regularly get rewards / freebies with the Nandos reward card. Great olives too & always good food.

The staff dealt with a problem with our order with the upmost care & attention

The food was great and the service was fine. We were offered a free desert as compensation for the wait(which was not very long) . The only downside was that it was very quiet. We like a quiet restaurant but this one was very quiet as all the shops had already shut for the evening.

Went here last night and there was the most wonderful employee here ‘Tim’ was on his name badge, he had the friendliest demeanour ever and just exhibited the best customer service. Thanks Tim!

Went for lunch lots of staff but none really doing anything our meal was sat on hot plate for over ten mins when we finally got it our chips were Luke warm husband's veg burger warm again staff laughing between themselves one chef was stood with arms folded for quite a while not really worth money table was being cleared as we were putting coats on we hadn't even left the table we are both in hospitality and the amount of staff they had expected better service and quality of food I suppose could of complained but just won't be returning

It’s a Nando’s that does exactly what you’d expect.

Love it, decided to try the chickpea burger, it was awesome.

Nice food and the staff were friendly despite being run ragged. My only critique is the venue looks a little tired, I've no doubt it's clean but it looks dirty. I still ate there though and loved it 🙂 Perhaps one more observation is it feels a little steep on prices.

Served by a lovely lady called Becks. My son is autistic and I had a few issues with the app. I explained about the struggle to order at the till. Becks was amazing she got me a table near the till and out of the way from other people. I understand that this may not always be possible. I was on my own and she even got me cutlery and a spare plate (it is self service with cutlery and sauces) the extra mile help was greatly appreciated. Great food, amazing service.xxx

Less serving/attending staff during my visit, you are opening full ,earning full and serving full menu can't say we have only 2 staffs so cant give you the service that makes you comfortable.

As you'd expect-did everything right and food was tasty. Not a long wait and plenty of spaces for a Monday lunch time. Peak periods may be a struggle though

Excellent freshly grilled chicken at its best..

It used to be great service here but just been there today, there was no greeting just a “table for 2?” Not even looking or smiling, when we left the guys was chating at the til with another member of staff and looked away when we passed through! Honestly, there’s no manager to tell them to do this basic things? Dissapointed…

Best Nandos outside South Africa

Nandos are definitely getting better at quality and quantity. 100 X better than the last visit to one years ago .

Food was great atmosphere is nice but the waiting staff all seem very young n don't really look like they know what they are doing half the time not a big issue at all but definitely noticeable

Always very good, been a few times here food nice and hot, fast service ,one of the best we have been to,and we use Nando,s regularly.

Very busy and it took well over half an hour to get our order out (4 people) but the quality was there as always.

The manager is an absolute legend. They were happy to accommodate us at the last minute just as they were preparing to close. Food and staff were awesome, definitely my favourite Nandos!

Sadly to say the fino pitta was not as good as it used to be. I was very disappointed that Nandos have downgraded the chicken from breast to a thigh cut which was very fatty. I will not be ordering that meal again. Otherwise the service and staff were all lovely polite, cheerful and friendly ten out of ten for that.

Incredibly rude staff sullen moany reluctant to serve and rude attitude. When I said my drink was not correct which I had already paid for she started arguing with me. Their staff need retraining on how to speak politely! Used to visit this place lost before the pandemic but it has gone downhill massively. Won't be eating here again. I have gone to the one in the Venue lots of times they are much better. Very dissapointed avoid this place!

Just grim.. Food arrived in reasonable time after an extremely sullen, braided haired lady took the order (after several attempts to clearly explain our very easy order for two people). We were really polite. Maybe the music was too loud for the staff to hear. Not a complaint but possibly a reason why the order was incorrect. Food arrives. Pretty cold. Looked shockingly presented. Incorrect order and no apology. 0% given for effort. No explanation of restaurant protocol ie: self serve drinks, cutlery, condiments etc. Thought it best to eat and leave as both busy with work. Really sorry to leave this review. Haven’t visited Nando’s for a while but, in my opinion, this was just awful.

Avoid like the plague. From the moment we arrived, the waitress was disinterested. She got the order completely wrong and the food was average (at best).

the restaurant is fine, food too, whatever. I'm posting this review because of how daft the menu it gives you when scanning the barcode on the table. typical menu items are missing, it asked me how spicy i wanted the sauce on my side of corn on the cob?! and see the photo for "plant based glass of water". hilarious in a bad way. glad i could still go up and order from the till like normal, though it's even harder to hear each other when placing the order, and it was always difficult even before virus precautions.

What's not too like fast service,friendly staff and great tasting menu. Love to try the hottest sauces and Recommend the butterfly chicken

I'm not a fan of Nando's and haven't visited for a few years. However, my Wife had pregnant cravings for Nando's 😅. However, to my delight the staff were very friendly, the service was efficient and food was tasty. All in all, my Wife was satisfied and I would return in the near future. Perhaps I'm a convert?

Unfortunately the food was not to standard at all. Waited 15-20min for stonecold food. Walking past to get a drink, food was just sitting in the hot rack whilst staff members were just aimlessly walking around. When we asked for a fresh plate of food to be brought out the staff member failed to ask if there was any specific requirements and brought out a new plate of food with everything we requested to be taken off. When told this the staff member basically said its our fault for not saying anything, even though we requested it on our order. The manager was not apprachable at all and the general service was just unwelcoming. When the third plate finally arrived it was still luke warm, so it feels like they just heated it up a little as it didnt look fresh nor was it as hot as fresh food. Definitely would not recommend.

Food was disappointing. Chips were undercooked and wrap was overcooked such that the meat was chewy. The waitress came and asked if food was okay before I had an opportunity to take a bit which I think is ridiculous.

I have to admit Nandos is 1 of the best places we've been for my daughters allergies. The manager takes charge cooking the food for the allergic person, so the responsibility is solely on them. This is our 2nd time here with my daughters multiple allergies including gluten and she's not had a reaction yet. Would highly recommend for any family that has allergies in it, that wants to enjoy a meal out. She had a plain chicken fillet and plain chips.

There was no queue..had to wait less than 10 minutes! We sat in an open booth which felt perfectly safe..The service was amazing, very quick, the order came exactly as we wanted and they kept checking if we needed anything..

I travel 20 miles with 3 restaurants nearer just to visit this Nandos. Food is always great, Friendly, enthusastic staff who always make the customer feel special.

Refused restaurant choice gift card for payment which lists Nando’s first as participant. Still unclear if that was correct or they couldn’t be bothered Got drinks and food order wrong and both serving staff stroppily blamed us even though we had ordered correctly. Most of staff stood around chatting, very hard to get even one refill on so called “Bottomless drinks”. Did complain to Nando’s who don’t seem interested in putting things right.

As a vegetarian I was surprised to find half a chicken breast in my beanie wrap and no beanies. But then my daughter was just as surprised to find a quarter piece of chicken breast in her five piece chicken wing order. It was take out so guess I’ll be going to bed hungry tonight. Come on Nando’s get the orders right, this is the second time for me and I’ve only ordered take out twice. That’s 100 percent wrong
