The best restaurants in Sedgemoor South West

I've not popped in here for a while but the food is just as good. Great salad and dressing makes for the ideal Kebab for me. Mixed Kebab, no pitta, Garlic Mayo with the regular and Chicken Shish Kebab Combo. I like that they double check that you're getting exactly what you want on the kebab by asking plenty questions here.

Great cafe, decent breakfast and reasonably priced.

You expect Nandos to be Average, This Nandos was excellent. From a nice man talking to us When we arrived, to a nice woman asking if I wanted a to go box. I will definitely return here.

I honestly have to tell you how absolutely disgusting the food that the silver tree had the audacity to send me. I am 59 years old and in that time I have enjoyed many hundreds if not thousands of Chinese meals rated from outstanding, to outright bland and lazy. I can say without a single word of hesitation that the total slop that Silver Tree delivered to me on the evening of January 26th 2025 was without doubt, the worst food that I have ever been presented by a Chinese or any other type of takeaway . It was all cold, the chicken balls were over cooked on the outside and had raw batter on the inside and the chicken was more like gristle than real meat. The tempura prawns (If that was what it was) were without a doubt form from a shop like Iceland and soaked in some kind of vile red sauce. Don't even get me started on the Spare Ribs.... These were literally two ribs chopped up into 25 mm lumps of bone with the odd piece of meat attached in a brown watery sauce. I know I sound like a angry old man but to honest.... I am.... It was so vile my son spat out the chicken balls that he so loves. This is why I am so angry about this meal.. I work hard to earn money and to have the odd treat.... Silver Tree ruined my evening. I would love to hear from anyone else who was dished up slop and had their money effectively stolen........ I never complain and this made me so mad I had no choice but to write this damming review. Silver Tree should be shut down.

Very rude staff, over priced drinks, carpark like a scrap yard

We stayed overnight while visiting friends in Burnham-on-Sea, so the venue was chosen for its convenient location more than anything else. The room was large and the single beds reasonably comfortable. The room is not carpeted and heating is by way of a small wall mounted electric heater, so not the most cosy of rooms. The convenience of the location was also one of its downsides as the hotel is situated alongside a main road, so there was considerable road noise all night. The most disappointing feature in the room was the bathroom which desperately needs replacing and modernising. There was mould all around the bath which was disgusting and it is beyond me why it is considered acceptable to rent rooms in this state. I can not comment on the food and drink served here as the restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings and we did not have breakfast the following morning. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel.

Exceptional Sunday roast! Today a group of six of us enjoyed Sunday lunch at the George. Highly recommend it as this was the best roast dinner we have had. Beef and chicken were perfect with great potatoes and lovely gravy. Really couldn’t fault anything 👌 Definitely give it a try 🤤

Decidimos después de ser clientes habituales de la cocina Gourmet Burger ( en su restaurante ) pedir una comida para llevar. Llegó después de 50 minutos a través de mensajería, todo estaba frío como una piedra y las hamburguesas eran un desastre despeinado. Llamé a las hamburguesas Gourmet para decirles que no se les puede hacer responsables y que debería hablar con la compañía de mensajería. Optaron por ofrecer este servicio a través de esta empresa de mensajería seguramente deberían querer que sus clientes estuvieran contentos con la comida que les pidieron. Deberías imaginar que su reputación por la comida de calidad también importaría. 🤔 Muy decepcionante.

Went in for lunch today as have been there many times in the past .my husband ordered fish & chips with missy peas when it came out i have never seen a piece of fish that looked the way it did so my husband politely asked if it could be cooked a little better the waitress took it away and then brought it back just as it was before and asked if that was better so my husband said no sorry it is not cooked properly so I suggested he have what i was having instead the waitress took it away and said that would be ok a few minutes later the chef owner came back with the plate of fish & chips suspected plate in front of my husband and with his voice raised like a bully boy and told my husband he was not going to cook it any more so he could eat it or have his money back , by now we were completely embarrassed by his shouting that my husband didn't say anymore he cut off a piece of fish and had to spit it out as it was disgusting i then went to ask if I could speak to this man and was told he was busy so I said I would wait , after waiting about 15minutes he came to speak to me and I explained i did not appreciate him shouting at us in front of every other customer to which he just started shouting at me again so it this is how he deal's with a genuine compliant he doesn't deserve any buisiness

Went to bay view cafe in bos for my mothers eightieth birthday,had a wonderful meal and time the owner and staff couldn’t be friendlier a real gem,our regular place to eat when we visit bos always great,thank you all you’re all great despite some very unfair reviews A*********** see you all soon,bear in mind it’s a cafe not a restaurant you want silver service pay for it! To all cynics I’m not being paid to leave this review!

Open kitchen, unfortunately sat so I could see in. Cook in the kitchen walked around shovelling food into his mouth and then touching customers food the whole time.

One of the worst chip shop meals I've ever eaten Green chips,microwave Pie that was rock hard and even found a small hair in the chips AWFUL
