The best restaurants in Cheddar and Shipham Sedgemoor South West

So i am overriding the review that follows this. Have not been here since but our food this time was excellent. Sweet and sour Cantonese style ...and was delicious. Old review - disappointing quite watery, used before and has been great . Husbands dish meat very tough !

To be fair the four of us all enjoyed a light lunch here today. The service was excellent and the food was very good I just felt that the prices were a little over the top. Overall a good experience

This is the best cafe in Cheddar and it has allot of heart! Very cosy and cute! Love the furnishings very quirky and welcoming. Food really delicious and wholesome. Great art work as well.

Had a nice chat with the owner this morning, very nice bloke who runs a nice clean cafe with a 5 star food hygiene rating. We had a bacon roll each, I had a sausage in mine as well plus drinks and it was all very nice and at a reasonable price. Would come here again no problem.

Went for dinner and ended up staying for bed and breakfast. Great food both for breakfast and dinner.

Treated myself as feeling hungry and tired after what felt like a long day at work. Couldnt be bothered to cook & had heard good things about the Bath Arms but havent been in for years. I have to say, the Bath Arms was faultless.. Super quick service with a friendly smile from everyone working there. It was busy but it's runs like clockwork! Fantastic choice for a set menu, very fairly priced & delicious. I was blown away by the whole experience. Highly recommended & a nice surprise to have such great food virtually on my doorstep

I went because they allowed me to stay in the car park overnight, good selection of beers, pool table, darts a real pub with friendly customers. They say don't do food but oli bought out baked potatoes and Yorkshire pudding, free for the customers. Apparently this happens from time to time. If you want a friendly chat and a beer it's the place to go.

food tastes decent but chicken balls obviously weren’t okay as i was throwing up an hour after eating and my partner was throwing up out the other end. crispy beef and chilli sauce didn’t have any meat in it was literally just batter. not a very good experience.

Lovely breakfast with good quality ingredients. The price is steeper than what you'd pay elsewhere but that is offset somewhat by the fact that it's open on a Sunday morning and the quality of ingredients and portions is good.

I’ve ordered food from the riverside quite a few times and it’s been very nice , but I ordered prawn balls with barbecue sauce and salt and chili chicken and oh my gosh it was ridiculously tasty 😋 fresh and hot when I got home , I’d definitely recommend !!xxx

Me and my partner came in here for lunch earlier this week. We had ham egg and chips, the whole meal looked and tasted delicious! The food arrived very quickly and they served us at the till very quick aswell. Everyone there was lovely and all had big smiles! It was a really nice experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Cheddar!!

This place gave me food poisoning. Do not eat here! Also, service was horrendously slow and awful. There are bugs everywhere due to being on a bog. We had to move inside as there were so many bugs.
