The best restaurants in Cheddar and Shipham Sedgemoor South West

Had such a fun evening for my 30th birthday here. We hired the Function room area and it worked brilliantly for us. The staff were incredibly friendly, hard working and nothing was too much trouble. The cocktails here are lovely and the music was fantastic. Highly recommend.

£13 for 2 pints of Pepsi. Daylight robbery. Edit - I rang them as speaking to people they've said must have been a mistake, and it was. I got the lot refunded, which is great. Disappointed I had to sort this myself, but pleased with the outcome. Rating updated.

Absolutely terrible takeaway, don’t bother to waste your money

Lovely spot by the water! We had coffee and cake! Staff were really friendly and helpful ! Great to watch the world go by and a little stroll at the bottom of The Gorge

Went here with my wife and parents and it was an absolute delight! We got cream teas and they were delicious. Service was great and it's a cute quaint little place with lots of decorations and a great ambiance.

I could have easily given this place 5* however they charged me £5 for a pretty basic ham sandwich and a handful of crisps. I wish I'd said something but with a lot of locals around the bar I felt like I couldn't and I didn't want to insult the owner. Such a shame because the place is nice, decent prices for drinks. They also had a large selection of well maintained board/card games and a nice outdoor area on the green.

A not so hidden gem! The welcome from the new owners was lovely and the service was great, even though it was quite busy. We had toasties which were of a generous portion and very tasty. Looking forward to our return.

Very good curry house in cheddar. Food is great but they always insist on taking bad photos of me for their website. Specials are worth a try.

Nice pub friendly staff. Parking out back pool table and darts. Shame they did not do food.

Sitting here wondering why I haven't tried their pizza before because it's SO GOOD!!

visited here as a family of 5, lovely warm and friendly welcome, great portion sizes for the price and every plate was empty which says it all, if in the area you won’t be disappointed 👍

Staff friendly, had breakfast there 3 times over our stay, good value for money. Could do with being open longer as it shuts at 3pm. Whole car park could do with resurfacing. Overall very good

Sat outside as have dog. Think maybe the owners ought to try this - view of stores and kitchens , grubby doors, awful smells, and the toilets were ugh ....on top of which my cup wasn't even clean I had to send it back. Maybe inside is better, but this area is gross . The coffee at £3.75 was expensive and bitter . Won't be revisiting .
