Sat outside as have dog. Think maybe the owners ought to try this - view of stores and kitchens , grubby doors, awful smells, and the toilets were ugh ....on top of which my cup wasn't even clean I had to send it back. Maybe inside is better, but this area is gross . The coffee at £3.75 was expensive and bitter . Won't be revisiting .

Food and coffee was lovely even though they got our order wrong. Was not overly busy but the one toilet they have was rotten and really needs an overhaul. Eew.

Great food, good sized portions and good value for money. I got the large all day breakfast and struggled to finish it - the sausage was good quality and very meaty. My wife got jacket potato with cheese & beans. It came with a mountain of cheese and a lovely side salad! The coffee is really nice as well. The cakes looked good, although didnt have any as i was full after the breakfast.

Wanted to find a new local cafe to go to after walks. We went here today for the first time & were told that dogs are not allowed in the cafe so we went elsewhere.

We arrived and immediately spotted another customer have her Spanish Tortilla and multiple delish salad bits served. My mind was made. We ordered that for me and a warming stew with dumplings for my partner. The service was fabulous, humorous and genuine. Fabulous lunch and we even bought a cake slice to take away 😊

So pleased that Cheddar village now has a cafe once again and what a cafe it is! We eat out regularly but my wife has a number of food intolerances caused by extreme food poisoning many years ago so most run of the mill cafes can’t cater for her. Not so the Village cafe. There was choice and quality topped with careful presentation and delivered with a cheerful smile by a team who clearly enjoy working together! As residents we will be returning and a campsite owners we’ll be recommending you to our guests. We’ll done to everyone involved - you’ve created a lovely place to both eat in and take out from Thank you Jules and Sandra
