Would even give it a rating came tonight I get food chips were black and green the chicken chunks for my children were rock hard so crispy they didn’t even eat them they were so hard if you threw them at a wall they would crumble spoken to the manager he was rude with an attitude refusing to give me a refund if I taken back the food saying he won’t going to do any thing about it avoid this fish bar by far the worse one in Weston!
Staff very friendly and pleasant but I ordered a cheese burger and chips. The first one came to me very luke warm so they very kindly brought me another which was much hotter. Unfortunately the burger was of a very poor standard, you could feel yourself biting on fat and gristle and bone, it was almost inedible. I left most of it. My wife had a jacket potato that she said was ok. As a whole the place is ok for a quick snack and a drink but I won't be returning.
I'm sorry but the website says Sunday Carvery. Has a picture of a carvery. Says food 'all week'. Says food till 9pm. Was looking forward to a carvery. Popped in to check. Nice lady tells me 'Don't do food on Sunday'. I mean. You want a pub to succeed but how silly is this. Update the website. Please.
The staff are bordering impolite. The food hygiene rating is lower than I would like. The prices are higher than local competitors. They are extremely tight by not handing out free prawn crackers. But this is still my first choice Chinese, as food is dam well tasty. Been ordering for over ten years and not had food poisoning yet!

I just want to thank you for amazing pizza you made for me this evening 28/03/25!
I messed up my address and contacted you and you also helped me! Order has been delivered quick and food was still hot and delicious! Great job!!! 💕
Ordered a halloumi burger and chips. Waited 20 minutes for the food. Chips were few and dry. Last time I came food was nice. Admittedly the place was busy .
Returning to Clevedon after a very long time it was a bit odd to find ourselves back on Hill Road (but that is the weird emotional bit out of the way).
We were a bit peckish so popped into the cafe. Had not planned to end up going for the full breakfast - but we did (one vegetarian and one meat). Gosh. They were massive. I was on the meat one, but I simply could not finish it! A first. The Good Lady had to have a piece of my toast + and egg + tomato. (A piece of bacon was scurried out in a serviette).
So value-for-money, to me, it was right up there.
Admittedly, and looking at other reviews, I might agree that the staff seemed quite new/a little lost at times. Not sure if there is perhaps lots of turnover but they did seem to be struggling at times. Courteous though.
We felt very reasonably priced.
Coffee is quite good but service is poor.
I've been a regular customer but price for a coffee is now over £4.
Ridiculous in a small town.
I'm going to be an ex customer!
I was told there was nothing available GF for lunch & it's not just being told that but how I was dismissively told by a young male member of staff. There are Baked Potatoes etc but I wasn't told that. I'm a regular for Coffee etc so I know the staff are usually excellent....
I live just 5 minutes walk away. Yet I will drive 10 minutes away for a decent Chinese rather than order from here. Food is pretty tasteless. Very oily with sparse meat. The meat that is there in small quantities is tough. I first gave it a go 10 years ago and swore would never return. Due to desperate decision to find something quick after extended session in pub next door. I gave it a go again and still continues to be worse Chinese in the local area.
Not since before Lockdown have we used Rickshaw and will be the last. Yes the meal arrived quickly and felt hot while taking it home. That’s were it ended,
The food was so Greasy it was disgusting. I have never had such greasy food. The Pancakes were Running in grease. It actually ran over over breadboard and onto the work surface. Same with the Chicken Balls. Fired Rice was dry. We both feel sick after it. Well it goes to say we didn’t eat it.
Saturday 6pm.
Pretty quiet on arrival, a few customers waiting for orders sitting in the chairs.
I was the only customer waiting to order, ABSOLUTELY no acknowledgment from the 2 staff of my presence at the counter.
Nothing ready to serve in the display cabinets apart from a few sausages, understandably as food is freshly cooked, on the other hand if there were plenty of customers the food could be readily available on arrival within reason certainly for the earlier part of opening hours.
Chips are usually perfect, batter is soggy.
Spent a fortune feeding staff from here in the past over the years.
So I went to Oldfields in Congresbury and spent £75, cabinets full of excellent food ready to go, a queue of customers, staff are pleased to see you, good old fashioned family business.
Won’t be going back.
Delicious coffee and cakes. Wonderful gluten free cakes too.
Staff go the extra mile, even when busy.
Quiet atmosphere so easy to talk with background music playing softly.
