Ordered cakes and coffee in the past always told I couldn't up date voucher until I paid. A very rude young man serving said it was to late as he had put it through till. His attitude was awful like he didn't want to be there. Very disappointed in coffee one today

Another customer pointed out another coffee#1 in the chain does a much better variety of vegan food. You are a chain you should do the same stuff everywhere. Put your customers first that’s part of the job. They where quite slow with getting people served. Food and drinks where just typical standards.

The place was really busy, queuing up to the door. Some of the staff seemed to be struggling with the number of customers. There were many cakes on offer, however most were " not thawed out" which wasn't what anyone wanted to hear! There needs to be better organisation behind the counter, work as a team and stop micromanaging each other. That way customers are served quickly without staff getting red in the face.

The young girl taking our order was useless. I had to tell her three times what I wanted. The seating area is still cramped meaning people with a pram, scooter or walker will struggle to move. The toilet was disgusting. Obviously not keeping an eye on it. Obviously the kids who work here just want the money

It wasn’t that busy although the staff where stood around doing virtually nothing. They where crashing around whilst clearing tables and washing up. One of the timers went off for food in the oven. It took quite a while until someone realised the food was ready and it needed to be turned off. The hand sanitiser stand was right next to our table which seemed silly. It should be as the customers walk into the entrance

Been coming here with friends for just over a year now and frankly this is the best in Clevedon. The coffee is excellent (as with all Coffee#1 ) and the staff especially are very polite and friendly. Different staff, Different days all the same. Excellent service all round. Right in the centre of Clevedon so easy to get to and a perfect place to meet up with people. If your in Clevedon and need a coffee and good vibes, this is the place!!

Visited recently to have the porridge as a small treat as often very nice with blueberries etc. Coffee normally good too. Only person serving said she didn’t know how to make porridge so couldn’t supply it! If they have it advertised in the cafe then they should be able to offer it and surely it’s not difficult…. So back home to supply myself with the easy making! It’s often an inconsistent portion too in the cafe, also needs sorting. Server also said she couldn’t help with anything on the App, said to call customer services. Others have helped though. Staff need further training I suggest.

Coffee#1 has always been my favourite of the coffee chains. This particular branch of late however has been disappointing. Very often run of of ice and so have not been able to serve milkshakes (other shops in this chain have been fine). Also the drinks just have not been as nice. Hot Chocolates (always where c#1 beat rivals hands down) have been disappointing. When I did last manage to get a milkshake I couldn’t taste the strawberry. My mum also complained she could not taste much coffee in her cappuccino. Don’t get me wrong . This is still my favourite chain. But currently I am picking other C#1 branches in other locations as the drinks have been much nicer.

I visit this coffee shop most days with family, friends or by myself and always find the staff welcoming and friendly and we always have a laugh. I love the drinks and snacks. The cakes are far too yummy! I love that well behaved dogs are allowed in as it means after we’ve been for a seafront walk we can go for a coffee with our pug. No matter how busy the staff are they are always happy to help customers who are unable to carry their tray to a table which is very appreciated.

Cosy, friendly establishment. Serves good coffee and a range of hot and cold snacks and is usually packed to the gunnels with locals - predominantly mums and toddlers and family groups. Style is ‘shabby chic’, or maybe just shabby () but you get a warm greeting and everyone rubs along fine.

We called in here for a drinks and a snack having been regular customers for many years. Unfortunately after today, we probably will think twice before going back. After a long wait to be served, while the girls sorted out an order for another table where apparently they had made one too many tuna panini melts, which was the left on the side of the counter to go cold while they went on to serve the lady in front of me. Several minutes later I was then served and ordered a grilled veg panini and a tuna melt panini for my husband. I was then asked to wait by the till for our food. The same tuna melt was then put on our tray with the two drinks. I politely asked the assistant if I could have a freshly made one as I was aware it had been left on the side of the counter for some time and was now cold. She was quite snappy with me and said that it was a mistake that someone else had ordered and belligerently agreed to make another one.I then sat down feeling quite uncomfortable and told my husband what had happened. Our order arrived straight away. However, my veg panini was hot but my husband’s was cold and clearly the one which had been left from the previous order. Added to that the plates were slammed down on the table by the assistant stating ‘tuna panini and veg panini, freshly made!” If it hadn’t been for the fact that my husband wasn’t well and we didn’t want to cause a scene, I would have complained about the attitude and rudeness of the staff. As it was the cafe itself was messy with uncleared tables and flies buzzing around and pretty shambolic service. We paid just under £17 for two regular drinks and two paninis so it certainly wasn’t cheap with a distinct lack of customer service. We left feeling very unhappy with they way we were treated.

Visited Coffee#1 for lunch. They sell a nice selection of gluten free cakes compared to some other coffee shops. However the range of savoury gluten free foods are poor. Some coffee shops do the 1 gluten free sandwich or wrap. Coffee#1 only had soup in 2 options, 300g of soup and bread for 4.25 so thought this was average. It turns out only the soup is gluten free and they have no gluten free bread to go with it which is disappointing. Does it take that much to store some gluten free bread? Even if they kept it on the freezer and defrosted in the microwave and toasted would be better than nothing.

The staff were pleasant and the coffee was good - and those are the only two positive things that I can say. The furniture is scruffy with laminate coming off the chairs and most of the tables hadn't been cleared and were dirty. But by far the worst was the toilet - my wife went to use it and was disgusted. It was not only filthy but there was blood on the toilet seat. The staff apologised and said they would get it cleaned. We won't be going back.

This used to be one of my favourite places for coffee and cake, but it seems to have gone downhill. I would say that it is in desperate need of a renovation. What began as shabby chic has now just turned shabby, and it could do with a good spruce up. (some of the chairs are falling to pieces) On a good note, the cakes are good and the coffee is fine, but the service could do with looking at. The system for serving does not seem great and can take quite a while. All in all, no longer a good (and relaxing) place to visit. I am a regular coffee 1 customer to the Clifton Village store and so thought, being in Clevedon on business, I would pop in to this store for my usual flat white. The coffee was the usual fantastic standard you expect from Coffee 1 and the man who served it was friendly and likable, as indeed were most of the staff. With this being said, there was one blonde girl who completely ruined the experience, she was abusive to her staff and rude about customers, all within ear shot of me and a few other customers, I later found out this woman was actually the manager! It is hard to relax and enjoy the coffee and atmosphere you expect from coffee 1 when you are constantly hearing her put down her employees and are on edge wondering what snide comments she will make about you when you leave.I am very disappointed, I expected much better from coffee 1 and wont be returning, which is a shame as the rest of the staff really were quite lovely if a little downtrodden.

I like the way coffee1 have tried to execute this, going for a retro shabby chic look to try to kindle memories of european coffee shops of yore. The coffee and tea is generally great. What is far from great is the cleanliness, hygiene and state of the produce. The place is always dirty, the floors, the tables. The food counter behind the staff is, frankly, grim. The amount of times I have seen staff handling food (paninis, cakes, salad) without gloves shocks me. Add this to dry, tasteless food that has obviosuly been handled with less than care and attention and sadly you get overpriced, underquality product. Could be a great place to go but the overrall sensation is one of grubbiness. Not good when a challenger has opened around the corner that always seems spotless.

It has great character with mis-matched tables and chairs and bookcases with 'real' books on that you can take to read while enjoying one of their excellent coffees, teas etc. The staff are always very pleasant and yes they chat together while making your coffee but it doesn't hold up the service. And they always pay attention to their customers first. The cakes and savouries always look very tempting and when we have given in to temptation they have proved first class. We love this coffee house with its retro furniture, comfortable seating, chairs and sofas etc, some of it the "utility" type from the WWII era, and the coffee is divine as are the cakes on offer. However, today it was very sunny, so we sat at a pavement table, but the metal chairs outside are very uncomfortable with side struts that dig into your thighs, what is known apparently as "20- minute" chairs, obviously so no-one will sit there for long! This is the only quibble we had in an otherwise welcoming and delightful cafe.

Enjoyable, relaxed and welcoming. Families, friends....anything goes. Lovely selection of savoury and sweet treats and although it is often busy we just can't help coming back!

Have been meaning to stop by here for a while now. Don't get what's so great about this place - just an average coffee shop that is pricier than other chains. All the plates, cups and spoons that we were given were dirty, so probably won't be back.

This was a lovely coffee place originally, & it's still ok. It does the best cappuccino in Clevedon but can get really noisy with mums & toddlers.

Having visited several cafes in the chain, I do feel that Coffee#1 is definitely preferable to the ubiquitous Costa/Starbucks/Nero triad. You get a decent strength cup of coffee as standard and the almond croissants are delicious. Service is always friendly and the cafe is clean and pleasantly decorated with shelves of books to browse - always scores brownie points with me. The only downside about the Clevedon cafe is that from about 9.30 am to lunchtime, it is absolutely taken over by mummies and their children who happily block off whole sections of seating with their pushchairs whilst small children run around screeching as the waiting staff steer a course around them whilst trying to serve hot drinks - an accident waiting to happen.

Whenever I go in here (my mum loves the place), there is never anything I really fancy! The smoothies aren't fresh, I see so many packets of pureed fruit, and me being the health fanatic that I am know how much processed sugar and rubbish there is in those packeted things. I do find it slightly overpriced as well. Nice to have a gluten free selection, but all bad for you, so nothing for me (my fault I know!). The decor is nice, but the system of getting a drink is just hassle. I have only gone in once and that was at half 5 in the evening in November where there wasn't a huge queue. I ordered a skinny latte once for my mum, to which I saw them not use skimmed milk and huff when I asked if it was skinny. The staff aren't very personable, it always seems like such a chore to help paying customers. I'd rather go somewhere where I can actually talk to the person behind the till and giving me my coffee rather than just be laughed at nervously when they don't hear what I'm saying.

Coffee#1 puts Starbucks, Costa Coffee and the rest to shame. Not only is the coffee excellent but the atmosphere is great. Constantly busy (so sometimes a bit of a wait in the queue), friendly staff, nice snacks and a book exchange scheme. Couldn't live without it!

What a busy little café! I always take my children here when visiting friends for hot chocolate and a treat. It is always busy, usually with every table full! The coffee I had was a little burnt in taste on one occasion but usually of a high standard. The chocolate crunches were very moreish!

There were many objections to Coffee 1 opening in Clevedon but I love it! From meeting for a nice coffee and a chat or just getting a decent takeaway coffee it's perfect and I think it has given Clevedon Town Centre a buzz that it was lacking before. It's always busy and that says it all. Best Coffee shop in Clevedon - That being said though I wouldn't stop here for lunch, just coffee and cake or maybe a nice smoothie. The lunchtime food options are a bit limited and quite pricey.

Had afternoon tea and cakes. Only served on Fridays and weekend in winter months and must be taken before 3pm so the experience was a little miss timed. Great views and excellent service. Very generous and well presented high tea even if a little early for us. Did find the restaurant difficult to find as part of pier closed off. Parking in Weston was a shock machines did not take cards.

Be very careful when booking this b&,b they advertise rooms and it's different after you book as the owner choices not to up date his web site .have emailed several times but takes a very long time to get back to you .have asked for a return of my deposit but that also has fallen on deaf ears .so I would book some were else 🤔

I was told there was nothing available GF for lunch & it's not just being told that but how I was dismissively told by a young male member of staff. There are Baked Potatoes etc but I wasn't told that. I'm a regular for Coffee etc so I know the staff are usually excellent....
