Spotted this little gem advertised in newspaper. Lived up to the description. Room clean, comfortable and spacious. The food was fantastic, hot and tasty, chosen from an extensive menu. Staff very friendly and attentive. Cannot fault anything. One on our list to revisit again.

Terrible place. After sitting at a table for 20m we thought we would go to the bar to see why noone had come to take our orders. Staff were moving around us collecting used plates from tables etc. The extremly unfriendly bar man / owner told us it was order at the bar. There was no indication this was the case anywhere. So we took a menu back to our table and then went back to the bar to order. The owner started to take our order on his till but his attitude was absolutely disgusting and unhelpful. It was as tho we were an inconvenience. Locals who were drunk were at the br swearing and acting like village idiots. These were obviously the regulars and pals of the owner. We noticed Daily Mail newspaper clippings on the wall about the road outside. Lostening to what the village idiots were talking about it became clear this was some sort of fwr right watering hole. Hole is a good description as the interior was somewhat bare. It was not a nice family experience. The food was passable but only just. We would never go there again as far better places are available up in Hill Rd for less or the same price. It seems from other reviews that our experience of this dump is the same as many others have had. AVOID THIS DUMP AND ITS OWNER LIKE THE PLAGUE

Booked for a Sunday roast but when we arrived the very miserable and rude landlord claimed I hadn't made the reservation basically calling me a lier. Did offer to try and get us a table but seemed very put out to do so, so we left and had a lovely roast at Scoozi where they know how to treat their customers. Shame as the Sunday roasts here are nice but won't bother again and would sugest asking for a confirmation email if your making a reservation over the phone to avoid disappointment and being accused of being a lier

Seated upstairs by window overlooking the sea. We chose the roast which consisted of Chicken, beef or pork belly. We both had pork belly which was moist and had perfect crackling on top seved with fresh sweetheart cabbage, carrots, parsnips, roast potatoes, mixed vegetables a huge homemade Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and lashings of thick gravy. Absolutely delicious and a bargain at £11.45 each. Will definitely return if in the area again.

Never been to clevedon before this pub looked appealing we were a little early for lunch so we waited with just a drink until we could order, the pub is very old but kept well for its age, there is a few steps but there are ramps for disabled so don’t be put off there is a ramp at the side of the main entrance which I found when going to the toilet. Back to the food my husband ordered the brunch and i ordered bubble & squeak with bacon the meals were freshly cooked not ding ding meals here & they tasted insane, complements to the chief 👍👍😊 and be prepared to wait it’s worth it. I’d highly recommend and will visit again when in the area

A bit of a shambles. We were rudely told by staff we couldn't use our gift card as they were an independent and we should have read the small print. The terms and conditions state that the card can be used in any Green king establishment and certainly does not mention anything about independents 😳 We were denied a high chair for our two year old little boy as they were all booked out, despite them advertising they are a family pub. There was a 40 minute wait on food, however, this was communicated when we ordered. The problem we had was we had barely finished eating before a member of staff snatched our menus away saying they are no longer serving food as they can not cope. We found this unprofessional and were left with no desserts. The toilets were shocking, I'll spare too much detail, however it has to be said there was a dirty used pad left on the floor in the ladies amongst other grim discoveries 😳 The food itself was OK, hence the 2 star review instead of 1 star.

We called in to the Moon & Sixpence in Clevedon for coffee. The hotel is right on the seafront and has its own car park. There is a quirky layout in the bar, but it's a pleasant environment. The member of staff that served us was welcoming, warm and friendly. It was not too busy mid-morning on a Monday in March, so we had lots of choice where to sit. The window areas, especially upstairs, had fabulous views across the Bristol Channel. We noted lots of outdoor seating for when the weather is warmer. The coffee was acceptable, if a little weaker than we would have preferred. Nonetheless, I think we will return.

Limited parking - we’d already parked elsewhere in town. We had a friendly greeting on arrival and given the menus. We ordered at the bar downstairs. I had the veggie “fish” and chips, hubby had scampi, the kids had beef Sunday lunch which was huge. All freshly cooked and delicious. Waiting staff polite and loved our dog. The only reasons I’ve not awarded 5 stars is that there was no pink gin and the vegan “fish” and chips is no longer served, although still offered on the menu. A nice little guest house attached to a pub, in a great location, right next to the Clevedon pier. I had the best 2 nights sleep there, due to the extremely comfortable memory foam mattress. We had the large upstairs room which was very spacious, clean and warm. It does though have the feeling of needing a little upgrade as some furniture and the curtains have seen better days. It was lovely for us in winter to have a warm room, but working thermostats on the radiators would have been useful at night time. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this guest house. Note to the owner - the website repeatedly states that the check out time is 10.30pm, updating this would be helpful. Also as there is free WiFi in the rooms and not just the bar this might be useful to correct too.

Over the years I’ve stopped in this pub on many occasions because of its location. We went in last weekend and the barman was really friendly and welcoming which was a good start. Everything is reasonably priced. Why have I given it two stars: -cold! The place is cold, you need to go outside to warm up. -food waiting time: nearly an hour, would have been fine if we’d have been informed prior to ordering but this was just a lunch time stop so didn’t expect it to take that long. Most won’t find this a problem, we wouldn’t have if it was warm and comfortable to wait but it wasn’t. -incorrect order taken, somehow there was confusion on the order. No problem work together to rectify it, not here it’s got to be the customers fault. So overall 2 stars for my experience

Just returned from one nights stay, clean nice size room, comfy bed, with a fantastic full breakfast the next morning. exceptional value for money. Rooms are separate to the pub so you have your own entrance with no restrictions on return. Being on the seafront you can watch the world go by and Clevedon has a beautiful town, nice walks. Would definitely recommend staying here. They were also accommodating to make sure we had room in the car park, although small, there is also parking on the seafront for up to 4 hours and any time after 6pm on a Saturday, free on Sunday. Meals are also lovely, big portions. The owners were lovely and made us feel very comfortable. Would highly recommend staying here.

I stayed at the Moon and Sixpence last Saturday for one night due to a family party in Clevedon. The rooms were as you would expect for a pub with en-suite rooms. Compact and basic. However, they were very clean and had everything you need...

We had an overnight stay with breakfast. The hotel is basic and could do with a little updating but the room was big and provides everything you would need. My son and I loved it and especially the fact it’s over the road from the...

Traveling back from Cornwall we decided to have an overnight stay back to the Midlands. Our room was basic, but didn’t matter too much for us. Evening meal very good and quick service. Accommodated my request for salad instead of peas with my battered cod…excellent!!!...

On entering the establishment, we sat down near a table by the window. A friendly waiter came over (who we later found out to be called Ted) and offered us menus. Whilst we were making our minds up, we looked around and felt that the...

Disappointing. Waited 50 minutes for our food, no apologies. Grubby and tired interior. Sat there wishing we had gone to the cafe down the road, it rather spoilt our day out. Will avoid Greene King pubs in the future.

A lovely old fashioned bed and breakfast. Location was stunning opposite Clevedon pier. The room was a little dated but immaculately clean and perfectly adequate for a couple of nights stay and the walk in shower was hot and powerful, awesome 👌 The breakfast was...

Always a favourite, just haven’t had time to visit recently. A seafront walk was the idea but we saw an empty table on the balcony, sun was out and couldn’t resist. Our usual first choice of Chicken Souvalaki was amazing!! Very fresh salad and tasty...

I was told there was nothing available GF for lunch & it's not just being told that but how I was dismissively told by a young male member of staff. There are Baked Potatoes etc but I wasn't told that. I'm a regular for Coffee etc so I know the staff are usually excellent....

We paid £20 as a couple to go to the Saturday evening sunset event. Unfortunately it was not great. We arrived at 6.30, by 7.15 still hadn’t got a drink despite asking several times. We were then told it was only cocktails, my partner is not a cocktail person and we only booked as it said we had a choice of beer wine or cocktail. Poor cocktail menu 2 with 3 choices all very similar. However we decided ok and finally got a drink. After then asking another 3 times to order food we left at 8.20, totally no organisation whatsoever! It was a shame as the singer was brilliant and location great but service totally awful. Complete waste of money!

Bought 3 bacon baps here, took one bite and the bacon in all 3 was stone cold - sent them back to be replaced ( which they did in about 2 mins) only to have yet more cold bacon - at £8.29 each you at least expect the basis of the bacon to be hot ( warm at least) very poor !!
