Lovely delivery driver with a quick delivery

My wife booked an escape room as part of my Christmas gift. We have two young children so she thought it would be nice for us to have morning together. We arranged for child care and headed into town. We arrived around 10 minutes early, the whole place was in darkness and locked up. We sent a Facebook message (since they never pick up the phone) to say we have booked an escape room, but we cannot get in. The response...The staff have forgotten to come in. Then the cheek to ask if we wanted to rearrange! Shocking.... no actually this is disgusting customer service.

Very disappointing, not the standard that I expect from the Brend brand and seeing other 5 star reviews I was surprised. The only highlight was the Chef serving the Carvery, very happy and chatty and the only reason for the extra star. But the rest of the staff really gave the impression that they didn't want to be there. Food was average when compared to other carveries in the Barnstaple area.

The food was hot and Average apart from a couple of the pizzas which were barely warm, but the welcome and service was unfriendly, excruciatingly slow and bordering on rude. Suffice to say we will never come back which is a shame as we live in Barnstaple.

This lovely Indian restaurant has had a name change…………See Malabar Kitchen! Food still lovely as ever , as is the service.

Not having oat milk is becoming a regular thing with all Costas now. Also, please and thank you don’t seem to be in the staff vocabulary either. You can smile and tell me to have a good day, but if you don’t say please when asking for money, or thank you when I hand it over, I’m going elsewhere in future!

Lovely vibe, good beer and great service. Went in with our dog made to feel really welcome. Staff couldn’t be more helpful or attentive.

We always pop in here when we visit Barnstaple. Wimpy is a definite blast from the past for me. Always enjoy their half pounder and chips. Today we were served by Sam. Excellent customer service and helped my elderly mum make her food choice as she was confused with the menu. Thank you Sam, keep up the great work!

Beautifully cooked fish and chips with home made mushy peas. The chips were exceptional - with the magic bit of coating that made then crispy, golden and extra delicious. Very friendly service. Will definitely come again.

Best Indian takeaway in Barnstaple. Lots of good flavours and very friendly staff. Can't understand how they haven't got a 5 star review.

Small seating area downstairs, the upper floor was closed off as it was late in the day. Great to see they continue to serve in actual cups and not takeaway cups nearer closing time. They were busy cleaning easy to close, but they did not impact our visit.

Very good tasty and filling food!
