Salt and Pepper in North Devon

This lovely Indian restaurant has had a name change…………See Malabar Kitchen! Food still lovely as ever , as is the service.

60 years ago had my first tase of Asian food in the Chittagong restaurant in Earls Court London, probably had around 1 a month on average possibly more Say 15 a year for 60 years Tonight I had the worst curry ever in all those years The service was terrible The ambiance non existent The food was difficult to describe, it was meant to be chicken tikka jalfezi , the sauce resembled a bistro gravy the chicken was in tiny thin slivers the onion and peppers were sloppy and to top that I found a piece of something about half an inch square which resembled a piece of wood, it was explained that it was a piece of cinnamon that had been left in for flavour

We thought we’d try Salt and Pepper for our Friday night dinner this week! Oh my! Delicious Tadka Dahl and Chicken Tikka Madras, lovely Naan Bread & Pilau Rice! This takeaway blew us away, it was simply Devine. Give this restaurant a go if you’re looking for genuine Indian food cooked to the highest standards. Compliments to your chef. We WILL be back.

Got a take away last night, food was ready on time, food quality was excellent, the best Indian take away I’ve had in North Devon in ages and they are open on Mondays. Would recommended.

The Sunday special menu has amazing food - specialities from Southern India - absolutely incredible . The staff and owners are also very friendly helpful and nice

Having dinner on a Sunday as down for work. This little gem is tucked away at the top of town. The waiter was very accomadating and friendly. And the food was very good. My only moan is that the jalfrezi wasn't hot enough for my liking but still very tasty.

Excellent service and varieties of delicious dishes to enjoy. A warm welcoming atmosphere and also the staff are very friendly.

Such a lovely food and service. Real taste of authentic Indian cuisine. Enjoyed it. Highly recommend for for those who like indian cuisine.
