Chocolates and fudge is very nice, but pasties are questionable, just had ham and cheese and its dry with no sauce or moisture in the pasty...

Had a handmade traditional Cornish pasty, the little flavour that it had wasn't nice, the pastry was a bit like damp cardboard and tasteless, the filling was lacking flavour, seasoning and meat, as a great lover of Cornish Pasties I found this one offensive.

Zero meat in the over priced traditional pasty, and the fudge came sporting a hair running straight through the centre 🤢wear a hair net as that’s filth. A tourist trap.. zero standards

Pasties still very hot from the oven at 10:40. Very helpful lady packed them in paper and provided paper carrier bags ... they were still warm & irrisistable at lunch time during our walk. Friends chose basic pasties, we had steak and stilton. Lots and lots of choice. You need to visit !!

Peanut fudge was just awful. Smelled stale. Just tossed into a paper bag which was not fit to give anyone , once the grease had seeped through, it all disintegrated. I wasn’t offered alternative packaging. Consequently, by the time we got it back an hour later, it had fused itself to the paper. £7 fudge into the bin. Service was miserable and unwelcoming. Spend your money at other shops.

Gluten free pasty heaven! It is incredibly difficult to find gluten free pasties- let alone good ones- and I can confirm these were VERY GOOD. I don't think people realise just how much it can make a coeliac's day to be able to partake in the local delights. It can be such an isolating and fun-sucking thing, especially when on holiday... so thank you very much Tuck Box :) my husband thoroughly enjoyed his non-gluten free pasty too and we will always come here now when in the area!

My brother and I purchased two pasty’s, one traditional pasty and one beef and Stilton. Very little filling in each, mainly potato and vegetables. I could not detect any Stilton flavour in my pasty, meat content negligible. Suggest this establishment be avoided. There must be better pasty suppliers in the area.

Stopped by here as I always love their fudge! But this time I was disappointed. Wanted some rocky road fudge as all the bars looked as if there were plenty of marshmallows. But the one the lady pulled out for me was plain with nothing on! I asked for one with marshmallows and she rudely said ‘oh. But You’re leaving me with THIS now!’ What am I leaving you with, exactly? The plain fudge bar you’re trying to pass onto me? You’re not taking it anywhere during lockdown! If I wanted plain choc that’s cheaper - that’s what I would have ordered... Rude to customers trying to support local and terribly Stingy. Buyer beware! Go down the road to the other fudge shop. Far nicer presented and lovely customer service

Fudge is good however I am aiming to take steps in improving my sustainability and am concerned about the sustainability of their palm oil usage and if it is being responsibly sourced. Also an excessive amount of plastic in their boxes of fudge. I understand this is a small business but would love to see some efforts in being more eco friendly.

I have been ruined! I had a Cornish pasty from The Tuck Box last week expecting a good pasty as they're advertised as 'famous' but oh my goodness! They are INCREDIBLE! Tender vegetables, and meat (without gristle or fat) wrapped in almost buttery pastry, and what I can only assume is a lot of love. They were so good, every other pasty I had for the remainder of the holiday paled into insignificance and I spent the whole week wondering if I could justify a trip back to Lynmouth just for another pasty. I would buy these online by the boxful if ever they made a move into providing that kind of service.

Visited on a very wet day in August, shop looked inviting with good window display but on entering the shop and asking for lemon curd was told by the assistant that my luck would be better than hers in finding it and it would be on the shelf somewhere!! Eventually finding what I wanted went to the counter and the assistant was on her phone, texting! Asked for 100g of fudge and was told it would be approximate! Paid for goods and asked for a bag which was virtually thrown at me!! In the current pandemic I am very conscious of supporting small businesses but they must provide good customer service and unfortunately on this occasion this was not the case.

It might be an idea to let your customers know via signage on the shop front or on your Facebook page that you need to ‘book’ a pasty if you want to purchase one and cannot just turn up at the shop to buy one (as you would any other place). Disappointing as we’ve been buying from this establishment for many years on our annual visit to Lynmouth, only to be rudely turned away this year for not ‘booking’. How ridiculous.

Popped in to this lovely little shop waited patiently in the queue .... several of our family had popped in before us with no problems ... picked our fudge ... asked for it to be in separate bags ... the young man dropped the first piece .. we gave him the benefit of the doubt that it had just dropped onto a lower shelf and said nothing ... he took no notice and piled the second portion of fudge with the first i again asked if it could be in separate bags ( 1 was ginger .... not my favourite) to which he replied ‘ it would have been nice to have been asked beforehand !” I stated that we had actually asked .... he then separated the fudge and literally threw the first bag onto the counter !! When asked if he had really just done that he denied it and stated he had had a very busy day and he was very tired. I could have left without buying anything , i could have thrown the fudge back but i didn't. I remained polite unlike this very rude young man . May I suggest that this company reminds the staff that customers are your bread and butter your oroduce is lovely ! Why risk it with rudeness ... the Lady to his right also serving in the pasty side appeared to think it was funny too !! To summarise nice fudge if you don't mind being treated very badly if the shop assistant is having a bad day

we went in just to get something to fill our stomach, my wife said she was not very hungry, so i ordered one hot ( just warm) meat pastie, what meat that is not important, may be chicken, the most important thing in pastie is the pastry, it was moise but not soggy, it was crispy but no hard bit; all pastie I ate, whatever Cornwall or Devon or Somerset, it is always either too hard or too soggy, or too dry or too ordinary, but this is not, this is just perfect!
