Brundle's Bar and Restaurant in North Devon

It was a Friday in November & Thai buffet night, the food was excellent, staff very friendly with some lovely cocktails

We were looked after by a young lady called Jas, who introduced every item on the menu so we'll we almost could taste the food before we ordered. The food was excellent and we had four different choices. I always ask myself after a new experience "would I return?" ,here I definitely would

We had a very nice dinner here! The food was great, especially the Thai food and the fish and Chips. The service was so friendly. We enjoyed it here very much and will come again! Greetings also from small Jakob!

Beautiful setting, went for the Thai food on recommendation of friends who has gone a few weeks before on holiday. We had the Thai food which was absolutely delicious. We had a dog and 2 year old and had a wonderful warm welcome. So lovely and friendly. Puppicino was a winner 🤣 Will definitely be back again next year but may make it a second visit before we go home in 2 days. Loved our visit!

Was here on early Saturday evening & order some cocktails at the bar… paid using my iPhone & was told payment didn’t go through & asked me to use my card… did that & it went through… just looked at my bank account & I’ve actually been charged twice… not happy.

We came across this place by accident. We couldn’t find the restaurant we were looking for saw the terrace and the lovely views and decided to have a late lunch there. We shared a pizza and salad outside. The food took a little while to come but that’s obviously because it’s freshly made. It was quiet as it was out of season but still fairly busy. Food was lovely.

This is labeled as fine dining on Google maps and our experience is far from. Very casual restaurant with a very limited menu. We ordered a pizza that was definitely a frozen pizza. Avoid and dine at one of the other lovely restaurants in Woolacombe.

Just had an amazing Sunday roast at this restaurant. The best roast dinner I have had out in years! Staff super friendly. Also dog friendly which is fantastic!

Food was delightful and well priced. Would recommend the crispy beef! Waitress was amazing who informed us with what food was not available on the night. Atmosphere was really good along with the 2-4-1 cocktails. Only reason I have put the review at a 4 star is because we tried to book the night before which was cancelled without reason.

Started OK but went downhill. Service was slow despite only three tables occupied. The prawn stir fry was good but the fish and chips mediochre and served on a cold plate. The worst part was the waitress who thought drinking coffee and chatting to her friend was more important than serving the diners. She totally ignored us when we had finished our mains and when she did decide to do her job she started to clear a table that had been served after us. At that point we left. Had she been more attentive we would have ordered desserts but we didn't and she didn't get a tip either. Overall, the last place I would recommend to eat in Woolacombe. We won't be back.

A little bit pricey but good food quickly served and no queue! Not quite sure why it isn't more popular.

Really good tasting food as well as good drink selection, great location from the beach and outdoor seating is nice on a good day! £20ish per meal and £4-7 per drink

Fantastic family venue, if you like cute dogs. Extremely friendly staff, and extremely friendly pups to be found here, providing a welcoming atmosphere. In addition, as you ought to expect, the food is not only delicious, but also comes in very generous portion sizes. If that weren't enough, it's also much more reasonably priced than other diners in Woolacombe. Finally, the drink selection is satisfactory; they provide a wider variety than the smaller diners, but there are other bars in town with a broader selection.

The monkfish and prawn was really good. Welcome dogs and tbf to them open when other places don't see the economic benefits. Over rely on the app when normal service would do is my feedback

Lovely modern cocktail bar nr the beach. Family friendly with inside n outside seating. We enjoyed extremely good food Sea Bass n veg (a change from summit n chips). Staff super friendly and efficient. They even provide cosy blankets to wrap in if you want to be alfresco but it's a tad chilly, which our 3yr old welcomed. Fully recommend. Not the cheapest but definitely value for money quality experience and food. 👏🥇

If you are in woolacombe DEFINITELY you must try these place! Excepcional location with seaviews and amazing food!! They have lots of veggie/vegan options and the food is incredible! The staff is really nice and friendly, couldn't have better vibe!

We went here for their New Year's party. The food was great, the staff were amazing, (particularly with our 7 year old) and the music and atmosphere made for a really special night. We thoroughly recommend!!!

Disappointing food, if you are visiting woolacombe this is not the right place for fine dining. Woolacombe Bay Hotel is the best for food and accommodation

Lovely quick service and great food. Our dog was welcome to join us (in the bar section) and our 15 month old love the tomato pasta!

We holiday in Woolacombe often, and have enjoyed the baguette and chips at Bundles bar on a number of occasions. So I was so disappointed by the recent standard. We ordered a chicken and bacon baguette. There was a few chunks of chicken, and not many bacon bits ( bacon bits the sort you see in a supermarket vacuum pack) for £9.00. This baguette is the sort of thing you pick up in a cheap road side cafe for a few quid. Won't be back.

Not cleaned up to standard, glass near table extremely dirty with finger prints and wine glasses given instead of processio glasses both which were dirty one with lip gloss on the other something stuck on the side

This place is fantastic ! At short notice they managed to pull together an amazing array of wonderful tasty food and provide a private area to celebrate my friends evenjng wedding reception ! The staff were so friendly even getting us a dog friendly taxi back to our accommodation and allowing us to bring dogs to the venue. Highly recommended for a great night out

Sunday lunch on the terrace with the family. Great food, sunny day, good service, fantastic view, what more do you need. 1st time and would return next time.

Nice and clean, friendly staff and reasonable prices

Disappointing experience. Not kept very clean. Sat amongst piles of old boxes and dog bowls. Tables were dirty and greasy from the last guests - I had to ask staff to wipe down surfaces which they did (moodily). On to the food -- this is not fine dining. Husband ordered chicken in a bun: cold, dry chicken with slimy skin plonked onto a bun that was as dry as dust. He sent his meal back. I had the crispy beef which was edible, but it was on par with a Tesco's boxed Chinese ready meal -- it wasn't worth £18. Such a shame as after reading the website and reviews we had high hopes of the place. Avoid and spend your money elsewhere.

Don’t order the overpriced chicken burger unless you like slimy skin and a bun drier than Saunton Sands. 1 star for giving me my money back. Not recommended.

Very poor , food appears remarkably fast , posing the question of fresh cook or microwave.Chips cold , burger dry and over cooked, chicken breast burger not trimmed , so fatty slimy skin in the mouth very unpleasant. Dessert which was delicious last summer and fresh baked now microwaved and what last time was crispy pastry , now soggy .I ate here last year during the pandemic summer break and everything was perfect, this time no better than a cheap pub.

We waited in the queue for long with no response from the staff what so ever. Only when we asked about wait time, staff gave us a table. Ordered fish and chips as it is a beach town restaurant and expected to have a decent fish. But, it was completely opposite. Hardly saw a fish inside, full of batter than the fish. Worst fish and chip we had in UK for £15 per portion. 😥

Fine dining? Do they even know what that is? Average food but they do walk ins.

Lovely place and the food for everyone else in our group was great. However the gluten free option (fish and chips) was clearly not gluten free, as I was poorly for 3 days afterwards.

Food was great quality and people were friendly. Only let down by the only way of ordering is through a website, there are no paper menus or table service option at all.

First off, the food in this place is amazing. Ontop of which, I have NEVER before been to a pub, bar or restaurant and seen the service staff work in the way they do here. They were literally none stop the whole time.. I was slightly disappointed to her the chef(s) speak to them in a disrespectful manner however, I appreciate that this must be a stressful environment for all. I don't live in the area but if I ever come back here I would not hesitate to return to this venue to eat. It was amazing and thank you!

Excellent food and service, apart from the unhappy looking drinks waiter that threw the plate of sliced lime across the table to my partner. Not a very happy chappy. Obviously had somewhere better to be.

Went there for husband birthday with daughter and sun in law not impressed, it looked like the vacuum had fallen out with them, and the fish was like cutting cardboard.

Had the beetroot and goats cheese but it was crumbs of goats cheese ...v disappointed..charged £14 for it. Music is really loud, not ideal for a relaxing meal and chat - asked for it to be turned down, waitress was lovely but music remained loud with cheesy dance music. On the positive side, the chicken burger was great

Overpriced for average food. Chickenburger with a soggy bun. No garnish at all, just plain chicken breast smothered in cheese that I didn't ask for. Pretty tasteless. Rustic chips were nice though. £14 Crispy Thai beef £18 but nothing special.

Totally shocked at the poor service and food. If you ate here last year don’t expect the same experience. Far far too expensive for the quality. When we complained the manager came over smelling of smoke and said it was because of not being able to use foreign staff!! Not sure what he is saying about British staff!!! The interior wall next to me seat was rusting through.

Should be a lot better considering the cost of food. The burger was quite possibly the worst I have ever seen from a restaurant. Cheap bun and poorly presented. Have a look at tides or bar electric to see how they should be served.

Visited twice during Whitsun, pretty stressful first time trying to order using your phone but tried to give them a second chance by going again later in the week. Left without eating as did others. OK place for a drink but that's it as that was all anyone could order. The food that did eventually get served just seemed to be plain dishes of a burger or chicken burger. Not what this place started out as I'm afraid.

Amazing little place. Would have liked to sit outside with the sea view but sat by a table next to the doors which was equally as nice when it cooled down a little. Great service, lovely food and an overall lovely experience. Would definitely recommend it.

A great place to eat and drink in a great location, terrace and indoor restaurant. Very helpful staff and relaxed atmosphere. A varied and affordable menu. The only reason it got four stars was due to the fierce aircon in the restaurant! During a seven day visit, we ate here four times. No complaints. Can't wait to come back.

We were a party of four and had a delicious lunch sat outside. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was delicious and plentiful. We will definitely return and highly recommend Brundles.

Lovely sitting overlooking the bay. Great sunny day. I had the fish and chips £15 chips the fish was abit small Flat and did not taste that fresh I was disappointed..Husband had chicken burger £14 he enjoyed his very much .staff were excellent. Went back and had the ham baguette first time there was just ham and tomato. Was tasty. Went back for the same a few days later and it must I've been a different chief... As we got ham tomato lettuce cheese and salsa sauce in the same ham baguette! Second was better.

The outdoor terrace is a lovely location from which to enjoy Woolacombe Bay on a sunny day along with the very good food (their burger is very nice) and excellent service. They also serve my favourite draught cider Devon Red- bonus!👍

Looks random and unassuming from the street but it is lovely. Excellent food and the staff so friendly. Think everyone just so excited about dining out again! Very much recommend it. Welcome back!

We have found a true gem we have been coming to woolacombe for over twenty years. Our family have grown up on holidays here and this restaurant is a keeper. A local well know restaurant do not allow dogs anymore so this is our new venue in future. Dog friendly and the staff was polite and attentive. The menu was very good considering the current climate as most restaurants have a reduced menu. The staff are a credit to the owner and manager. Social distancing is excellent as well as track and trace on arrival at the venue it is clearly displayed on arrival at the restaurant. We was met at the door and escorted to our seats. Great setting great Decor great venue.

Very slow service, part of the order was missing and the glasses were dirty. Had to chase twice and queued for over 20 minutes to order but they weren't busy.

We visited Brundle's Bar and Restaurant last week for lunch and had a very pleasant experience. The décor is nicely done and looks modern and cheerful. The service was very friendly and we had a nice chat with one of the staff. We both chose the Beef burger with marbled chorizo and it was really very good. Extremely tasty, and the rustic chips were lovely too. A good portion size and even though it's not cheap, it was certainly worth the £16 we were charged for them. I would definitely return!!

Fair foos, friendly and a bit inefficient service

The bar manager, and staff make this place. The whole reason we went back. What a guy! Food is good too, however, the service is excellent. Very personable, all staff with a smile even after long shift! Well done people

Breakfast not worth £12 it was substandard very over priced, not cooked v well at all something u would find at mass produced buffet in cheap hotel , service not much better.would not return.
