The best restaurants in Mendip South West

Excellent proper home cooked food. Best ham, egg and chips I ever had.

Went here twice in a week staying in hotel. So food was delicious ate every item I got, the fish was little oily compared to what I'm use to but still tasty. The burgers are great value full of salad etc.

This is my favourite little spot in the area. A wonderful selection of cakes all made on site, including a most delicious dark chocolate stem ginger flapjack. Very nice coffee. The cafe overlooks parkland and lakes. There is a large terrace with plenty of seating to admire the views and take in the fresh air. Park up,take a "there and back again" walk to Marston Church and return for a well earned cake!

Excellent meal however prices were ~50% (excluding service charge) more expensive than advertised on the website.

If you like Fish & Chips then look no further than Knights. If you are in Glastenbury then this is the place to go. If you want to experience dining in, the make sure you book in advance. Fish and Chips from Knights are outstanding

Our meal this evening was delicious. The staff were welcoming and attentive and generous on our special occasion, re-visiting lovely memories. Informed recommendations for wine too. We will be back.... soon.

I think this might be the best Full English I've ever had. There are two hash browns hiding under the perfect fried eggs. Flat white was delicious too.

We had two lovely meals here whilst staying in the village. Everyone was very friendly. The Sunday roast was one of the best we have had and the homemade icecream was to die for. You do need to book because they get very busy.

The finest ingredients make the best breakfast. All good here but the Thornton’s bacon is exceptional. Food arrived quickly, service is friendly and efficient.

Lovely beer garden, dog friendly, friendly staff.

It was tasty but missing prosciutto around the chicken.. not worth £19.50 for chicken and chips

A wonderful experience! I highly recommend the paneer curry meal! It's like Aunties' delicious and made with a lot of care! Super friendly staff all food was delicious and allergen friendly. We hope to be back!!!
