Friendliest pub I've been to in years. We had curry and soup and both were well- presented, very tasty and generous. The ale was excellent too.

This had the potential to be an amazing meal, we were staying at the caravan park opposite and visited here as recommended. Sadly though the meal didn't come up to par. The menu is very small, I ordered Fish and Chips, my wife burger and chips and my daughter also a burger from the children's menu. The burger was bland, served in a sourdough roll with a small portion of french fries. Over priced for what you get My fish I will say was good and a decent size and worth the money, but sat next to the burger and chips looked like it was from a different pubs. We will happily stay at the caravan site again but we will be going further to eat away. Shame really as this could be a gold mine

The Wife and I stopped by when passing this evening. We were greeted upon arrival, and immediately made to feel welcome and an important customer. We ordered food and drinks, being advised that all the food is made, prepared and cooked on site. Wow, what came out was hot, presented nicely, and tasted fantastic. In a first for me, I ordered more purely because I enjoyed it that much. Prices were pocket friendly. We even had live music as well. If you have not tried this place, then I advise you do so. I will be returning when I am this way again.

I wanted to like this place better, because I like the people running it. Very laid back vibe, excellent soundtrack, chilled out attitudes. Beer was ok, food was a bit school-dinnerish. If it was priced accordingly it would be a good place to go for a cheap nosh-up, but at normal prices there are better places to eat. Would definitely go back for a few drinks, though. Staff/owners were very friendly, and asked for feedback showing that they care about their customers. Lots of nice unusual touches, like humorous notices and musical instruments lying around.

Recently taken over by Richy & Martin, The Kings Arms is by far my most favourite pub! This pub really is the perfect package, and I cannot wait for the kitchen to be up and running in a couple of weeks. The pub itself is oozing history and character. The staff are full of just as much character as the building. It’s the perfect combo. If you’re in the area you simple have to spend some time in this fantastic venue! Martin is the perfect barman. Richy is an incredibly talented chef, host and alchemist. I cannot wait to see what memories are made in this incredibly wonderful pub over the months and years to come. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is an old pub b and b which opens at 6.00 pm and is not open during the week in the daytime. Check in time is 4.00 pm and when arriving it is not obvious how you get in so had to call the hosts to gain entry. The outside is tired and generally run down and the rooms, although clean are dark and not welcoming with no access to a window - the window was high up on the wall and could not reach to open it or see out. There is a lot of clutter in the front door entrance and the side entrance from the road which is no longer used was full of 'stuff' which did not give a good impression. There was a musty smell throughout and felt the windows needed opening, stair carpets were not hoovered and the landing had an old sofa on it randomly with a stool lying on top The garden was unkempt, full ashtrays with water in them remained all through our stay. The Hosts were welcoming and friendly and bar was quaint with great food. However the general untidiness made you feel uncomfortable and alot of coughing whilst food was being prepared and served was off-putting. It could be a really lovely place and the pub part was but not a place I would chose to stay again.

I and the family arrived at around 7pm on Tuesday evening having spent all day exploring Longleat Safari Park (Unfortunately, it had rained all day and we were soaked through). It was therefore appreciated, perhaps more so because we were wet, that we had arrived at the warm, cosy, inn. On arrival we were greeted by Derek who welcomed us in from the carpark. Once through the door Jill, Derek's wife, welcomed us before we were then promptly shown to our individual rooms - and were given the key. Me and my partner stayed in the double room, my partners parents and her sister were in the family room, and her grandparents had paid extra to stay in the deluxe room - so between us we were able to see the majority of the rooms. All of which were lovely and cosy. Once dried off, we met down stairs for a meal which we had previously booked for 8:15pm. Again, we were promptly met with table service by Jill who had be running the bar. Our orders were taken which consisted of a starter and mains, but no dessert as there didn't seem to be any on the menu - either that or we are all blind! The starters arrived, and in all honestly, I was flabbergasted by the quality of the food. I did not expect even momentarily for the food to come out in the standard in which it did. The food was amazing, and it was even more astonishing to later find out it was all cooked by Derek on his own in the kitchen. One man cooking seven meals to a standard which I would expect to receive in a five star restaurant was just incredible. The starters were devoured and we were waiting on mains to arrive. In the interim we had been greeted by an unusual form of entertainment. Essentially, it was asked that we would join and sing some Christmas-orientated hymns. I cant explain it any other way. It was rather unusual. Lyrics sheets were provided and with our consent we joined in unity to sing Christmas hymns. To reiterate, it was very strange, but the most fun I've had in a local pub in a long time. It was quintessentially the most English pub ever. I am still unsure as to the people who requested we joined in with the hymns wether they are regulars or people who just wanted Christmas hymns to be sang, nevertheless, it was fun and we all enjoyed it. Our mains then arrived and they were devoured too, before we then started off with the Christmas hymns once again. Two songs later the performance had finished and we carried on drinking into the evening. In the morning we were greeted by a table-set laid out for Breakfast. Cereal, yogurt, and fruit were all accessible with milk and complimentary orange juice located on the table. Alongside a menu for a cooked breakfast. The majority of us opted-in for a cooked 'Full English' Breakfast which we believe was cooked by Jill as opposed to her husband. The food was still amazing and likewise was devoured. Overall, I would recommend this beautiful inn to anyone. The company and the quality of the food were both amazing.

Not sure who has written the reviews for this place but we booked a one night stay after reading reviews, they were misleading, the room was clean but pokey hardly enough room between the foot of the bed and the ensuite door way, the room smelt of the food being cooked in the kitchen below and the ensuite smelt of tobacco, my partner and son went down for breakfast in the morning which was well below par, the menu offered scrambled or poached eggs when the asked for poached the landlady said she would prefer them to have scrambled which they did it was overcooked in the microwave and the bacon undercooked and almost cold the owners were friendly but the place needs a good clean and someone who can cook a decent breakfast.

Excellent ice creams, great variety and flavour. I visited with my dogs on a really hot day in July. Perfect way to cool down. Also a special mention to the pet shop Wiggle and Wag which shares a site with the gelato shop. Both great.

We don’t really know Dorking but came for a comedy gig and wanted food and drink before the show. We booked a table online and then were a bit confused when we walked in as it’s looks like a work space but then has a bar and says it served food. The staff explained they had a limited menu currently. As we were there and we’d booked we thought we’d give it a go. We ordered halloumi fries to start and then various burgers - whilst initially worried this was just going to be a zap in the microwave job; how wrong we were. The food was so good. The food was restaurant quality!! The staff (particularly the gent I assume was the manager) were so friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely go again; and look forward to when they have their full menu.

A truly great evening was had last night. We went for a Christmas meal, and from the point of arrival when we found “Thatchers Zero” in the fridge for the designated driver, to settling up at the end of the evening the experience was great. Super friendly staff, and a well behaved pub dog who just had a look of “please love me” on his face. The food was superb, and the price was good value for money. I would definitely recommend the pub.

Visited Glastonbury whilst on a weeks break in Crewkerne. Popped into to this lovely cafe as it was dog friendly. Forgetting my glasses I asked if they catered for gluten free, they did (it stated it on the menu). As I ordered the lady behind the counter asked if I was coeliac, I told her I was. When the food was brought to the table, the lady explained that she had cleaned the kitchen and prepared my food using all new unopened ingredients. All I had was a corned beef and onion sandwich, but the attention to detail was second to none. Really recommend this place to coeliacs and non coeliacs.

The Sunrise Cafe may look like an ordinary cafe on the outside but inside the food is something special! Choose something from The Thai menu if you like Thai food and you will experience some of the best authentic Thai cooking outside Thailand! We stopped here for lunch after driving around the Malvern Hills all morning thinking it was just a normal cafe but discovered that it also had a Thai Menu cooked by a delightful Thai lady Chef called "Jim". I am not sure how she came by that name but she was definitely a woman! We chose Tom Yum chicken soup and checked that would not be too spicy hot first. It was perfect and also contained Mushroom, Sping Onion and Tomato. Incredibly tasty with a mild warmth aftertaste. We followed this with a Chicken Massaman Curry which included a Jasmine sticky rice. The curry was the best we have tasted. It looked so appetising with it's rich golden colour. The friendly Hungarian waitress also supplied us with water and afterwards my wife Angie had a hot chocolate and I had a White Cofffee. A fantastic meal and drinks for just under £20 a head. If you are touring the Malverns this is worth taking a detour for! It is open from about 8:30 am to 4pm this time of the year and has a garden available at the back for outdoor seating in the summer months. The Cafe also serves a range of cooked breakfasts and lunches or hot sandwiches, some deserts, milkshakes, hot and cold drinks.
