We stopped here for breakfast. The choices were well varied and the food reasonably good if slightly on the expensive side. Service friendly and quick.

Lovely place for a quick bite to eat and a nice coffee ☕️ 😋

Easily one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. The waitress was polite and friendly, they were happy to make a couple of item for item exchanges on the breakfast and it was served hot and fast. Everything was cooked to (at my least in my opinion) perfection, and the coffee was lovely. Would 100% visit again!

Popped in for a quick snack, great bacon butty, the wife had a great waffle with berries and compote and we shared a slice of lovely mocha cake. Have passed this place so many times, this is the first time we have tried it. Now very unhappy about the number of times we passed it by

Stopped here with the intention of having a late breakfast / lunch. We were seated quickly and given menus. However there was absolutely no choice for Vegan/Vegetarian diets. The server did offer a Vegan jaffa cake and offered to do the breakfast without the meat but nothing clearly labelled so we decided just to have a coffee and left. There were no Vegetarian or Vegan options for anything, even the sandwiches. Very disappointed.

Was spoilt for choice by menu options. Sadly opted for beef baguette which was advertised as thin slices of rare beef but,just got one medium slice and medium cooked. Not what I imagined when reading description. Cakes looked great would have had one but,after sitting for 10 minutes for plates to be cleared whilst staff sat nearby chatting I didn't bother.

Service and staff great but the pancake were burnt and very oily sadly but coffee and waiting staff brilliant.

One of the worst cafes I’ve ever been to. Dirty plates lingering on tables for ages, awful food and absolutely no atmosphere ☹️

The food was ok, if a little pricey, but the service was lousy with the staff chatting amongst themselves rather than take our order. The room is fairly bland and echoey without much charm or comfort.

Had the regular breakfast. Superbly cooked and great service. Would recommend.

Hit & Miss. Went twice, 1st time 19/1/24 12am had breakfast , amazing all freshly cooked couldn't fault but had wait 15mins as you would expect. 2nd time 26/1/24 9am , had breakfast again, preheated sausages that had consistency of chorizo or leather (great for banging nails in) , eggs well under cooked, all but hash browns cold including toast, was ready in 3 mins. Advise go at lunch time.

Really great food and coffee with polite and friendly service. Only thing lacking is the atmosphere... It's a bit noisy in there.

Such a shame this place has really gone downhill. The breakfasts used to be amazing ! Ours was worse than a supermarket breakie and double the price. Only got one egg when menu stated 2, beans cheap and luke warm, toast cold. All thrown on a tiny plate. £36 for 3 of us. Definitely won’t be returning.

Went out of their way to accommodate my elderly father’s request for an omelette, as we were to early for the lunchtime menu

We were staying nearby and came across 'The Den' by chance , food was delicious and so reasonable, we enjoyed our first visit so much that we returned the next day for both breakfast and dinner. Staff were great and facilities perfect.

Empty when we arrived at 8.50am. Prompt friendly service. A decent enough breakfast that could have been hotter. Loud conversations between staff.

Do not do Sunday dinner on a Sunday. The burger was ok

What a great find! We had breakfast there 3 days running and were never disappointed. Food was amazing, at a great price, and with very friendly service. Well worth stopping by!

Stopped in at this little gem on the way into Glasto. Food was great, the crumble was best, liked the staff too, but could have been a little cooler, have they never heard of air con?

Good service but unfortunately the coffee machine was broken for breakfast and they specify dog friendly but dogs are only allowed outside, this should be made more clear.

Service and food was very good, and very accommodating to any special request/substitution for food. Would happily return.

Not many vegetarian options were advertised on the menu, but they were able to offer me a vegetarian option on all-day breakfast. It was still charged at meat cost £12.95, which was a bit high, I felt. Choc orange dessert and choc fudge cake was lovely, but £6 a portion! We sent back Broccoli and Stilton soup £5.95, as it was too watery. Soup cost refunded and apology given. Customer service was excellent, and staff were young, well presented and friendly, very welcoming. Building and decor clean and meals were cooked fresh. The farm shop again well presented, it would have been nice to have some of their meals available in the cafe that are sold as readymeals in shop as many chilled an frozen vegetarianranges, but overall good meal and good service.

What a great breakfast in The Den, table service and a good selection of food and drinks available, staff were attentive and quick to take our orders. food was perfect and done to our requests (great for the fussy eaters) and all the produce is locally sourced and seasonal.

This was fine, the young service staff were particularly efficient and on the case.

Visited ok Sunday 18th Dec 22 Family get together Lovely food bacon brie and Cranberry panini and side of halloumi fries - all was very nice and so good. Would visit again

Not a very good menu with several things not available one member of staff was working in her fleece jacket that was absolutely filthy, she was serving the cooked food not a good experience

Lovely light and spacious, restaurant with very friendly staff, who don't mind at all when messy toddlers arrive. Good food too, it's next door to a superb farm shop... well worth stopping here.

We ate here for the 4 days we were staying in Shepton, once for lunch 3 times for breakfast, service and food was outstanding on all 4 occasions. Would definitely recommend.

Easy parking with plenty of space. Seating inside and out. Food was good and tasty, but not a big main meals selection. What was available on the menu was good. Very friendly staff and good service.

Great food and friendly service. We regularly use this as a pit-stop on our travels. Food can be a little slow when they are busy, but staff usually advise on ordering if there is likely to be a wait.

Was very disappointed to arrive at 2.40 to find they were shutting at 3 and there was no food left why shut so early ? We had a drink but felt very rushed to take our used cups

Used to ear here often when passing. First time for some time. Not good. Took ages to get served, staff standing around chatting. Breakfast was at best tepid, fried egg as hard as a rock. Just not what it used to be.

Lovely place and good food. Unfortunately went there today and was over charged. According to menu for 2 Ammericano coffees, 1 bacon sandwich and 1 sausage sandwich it should have been £11.60. We were charged £15.70. I looked on website after returning home at the menu prices. So very disappointed...

Visiting my son working on the Glasto festival site. We fancied a decent breakfast n coffee. Happened on Thorners farmshop n restaurant. Breakfast available until 11.30. We got there at 11. Lucky to get a table n they kindly seated the two of us at a reserved table for 6 as they were delayed Great atmosphere - busy, buzzing but relaxed. Really nice, smart decor. You can tell as soon as you walk in they're organised and on it. I was expecting it to be expensive, but we don't treat ourselves that often to eating out so was prepared for that. In fact the Ultimate Breakfast I think it was called, with more than enough to challenge the hungriest eater (my son) was a tenner. N mine was £7.50. Really reasonable considering the quality, variety n amount you get especially with suppliers n bills going sky high across the board right now. Both breakfasts included bacon, sausage, egg, baked cherry tomatoes, hash browns, black pudding, baked beans, mushrooms n fried bread or toast. I swapped my hash brown n black pudding for an extra egg n rasher of bacon. Quality ingredients perfectly cooked. Had a large flat white n latte while we waited. Top notch coffee. Straightforward menu on the table catering for most cooked breakfasts down to something on toast. Order at the counter. You can see the chefs through in the kitchen cooking. Friendly n efficient front of house n waitresses. Service with a smile. Really nice relaxed but buzzing atmosphere. Outdoor patio seating n farmshop to have a wander round afterwards with arts n crafts upstairs (pricey but nice to look at!) n food downstairs. Meat surprisingly reasonable. Highly recommend n will be back next time I'm in the area. K

Didn't go inside, but sat outside. Excellent service and refreshments. I keep missing the entrance, so glad I finally made it! On a road with few opportunities for a refreshment and comfort break, well worth a visit

They serve a really nice beef sandwich here. Best I've had for a long time.

Maybe a caught this place on a bad day, but the tension between the staff was High and got this real sense of sinking ship when actually we were one of 2 tables in the cafe. The farm shop is great though :) will be back

The place was near empty, refused us a table as had not pre-booked. Asked for a takeaway and told they had a back log so could not offer a takeaway. Very poor.

Loved it at Thorners! The coffee was really good - can recommend the flat white! Cake was delicious too and some happy punters near us were tucking into a freshly cooked breakfast. We'll be back!

Very nice breakfast. Well cooked and service was good. Efficient and friendly. Didnt book and was fortunate to get a table outside. Could be improved with umbrella over the outside tables, in case of rain. Price was very reasonable. Dont order the big breakfast unless you have a good appetite.

Wow wot a breakfast drove 150 miles to visit my daughter and grandchildren used to live in Somerset always go back to Thorner,s prebook to get a seating you won't be disappointed also have a farm shop food quality perfect

Staff were vigilant taking temperatures and were very friendly, wive had an omelette I had a big breakfast both were scrumptious will definitely go again

Had a miserable visit here today, when we pulled up after a long journey. We waited patiently for one of the three ladies behind the counter to come to our table. They appeared to be chatting and we were given sour looks as we waited. One cleaned the table behind us whilst giving us grim stares. She then rejoined the other ladies. We gave up and left after 15 minutes.

Quick stop off on the way home from football for two takeaway John thorners sausage rolls. More sausage filling than a 10 pack from Tesco. 😋😋😋👌👌. Definitely stop again.

The food... The staff... The service... The speed... Absolutely fantastic... I dislike eating out mostly because I struggle to find somewhere that serves hearty... My partner had a fry up and I kid you not... Not a single drop of grease... Water... Or slop... It was STUNNING. The food is Filling and genuine. .. This place ticked all our boxes... Beautiful x

It's ok. You need to pre-book to sit at any of the outside tables though, even if the place is empty. If you don't it's take away only.
