The best restaurants in Mendip South West

Nice little local pub. The natives tried to give us the "You ain`t from round here" look, but their hearts weren`t really in it. Youngsters in the garden were giving it large but fell over themselves to make us feel welcome when we made eye contact. An all-round positive experience, thank you.

On the lookout for an independent coffee house and found this one, just off the city centre. Relaxed atmosphere, warm and comfortable. Had tea and toasted sandwich and they were excellent.

A wonderful selection of gluten and dairy free cakes - all home made. So far have sampled the ginger cake (moist and gingery) and the cherry and almond cake (so good) - but plan to do a full survey.

Good food well served . Good coffee . Didn’t try the cakes but looked good.. The staff didn’t seem especially happy not unfriendly or inefficient just lacking in that welcoming feeling.Would still go back to give them another try.

Really impressed. Ordered via Just Eat, fast service and piping hot food. We particularly enjoyed the munchie box, and all the food we ordered was tasty. Would recommend.

Frama is a great coffee shop, and the coffee is exceptional. Whenever my friends come to visit, they always ask if we can stop by to pick up a flat white or a cappuccino!

Great all round chippy place.Huge desserts.

Not very attentive, could be because I wanted a takeaway 1/4 crispy duck…. The duck was tiny, just enough for 3 of the pancakes (and that was spreading it out) Kung po chicken had 7 pieces of chicken Let’s just say I was not impressed

We came for Sunday lunch, it was the best roast we have had out for a long time, our 2 dogs were welcome and the staff were fantastic, we will be back for sure

Delicious food and friendly staff. I would recommend highly.

Fabulously friendly staff, clean room, great bed, hot shower. And quiet. We had a room facing the main road but no noise at all.
