Lovely food, Great atmosphere and staff lovely as always.

Excellent in every way. John Matthews charming and efficient.

Often, when I go to Italian restaurants I am left quite disappointed. This occasion was quite the contrast, Was greeted and taken to our table relatively quickly. The area was clean, the servers were saying about but very friendly and interactive. We ended up speaking to someone called "Ryan" (I think, sorry if I got it wrong) who was just the most charming person ever and a great representative of your company. The food was beautifully cooked with just the right amount of sauce, and the quality of the pasta was delicious. I would highly recommend the food, the atmosphere and especially the high quality customer service. If I didn't live so far away, I'd be coming back more frequently. First time visiting an ASK Italian. Great experience, fabulous food, decent price, friendly & efficient servers.

Came for dinner this evening, starters were burnt and cold, mains were ok, the chicken on the pizza was cheap chicken strips, and the pizza was lacking toppings (very low budget) Not what we were expecting as previously we have had reasonably good meals in ASK restaurants. The deserts were lovely, lots of flavour and great portion sizes. The staff, were very welcoming, helpful with allergies etc. good atmosphere and very clean, such a shame that the food quality has gone massively down hill.

Good service and lovely waitress. Pasta was cold sadly and brownie came with strawberry bubblegum icecream, which was horrific. Mushroom al forno was great. We have had lots of goood meals there and today it wasn’t anywhere near the usual standard.

came in for dinner with my family and we were greeted quickly and shown to our table. We were served by a young man named alex lalov who was attentive and polite. the food was great and the view beautiful 10/10 experience will be returning

Lovely restaurant, delicious food, all staff very friendly, keen to help, waitress Ola was so lovely and helped me choose best dessert I ever tried, I always have best experience when I am there, definitely will visit again!!

I had an amazing time at this ASK franchise, I enjoyed the beautiful new popcorn royal cocktail along with a pollo delle casa food was fresh and amazing and came fast the staff were very welcoming and helpful from the moment I sat down till I left 10/10 experience will be back 😄

First time visiting Wells. Popped in on the off chance of a table. Not a problem! Very friendly staff, nice surroundings. Food was excellent and arrived quickly. The final bill was less than expected. Overall, thoroughly recommend it 🙂

Adina served us and was really accommodating. She even asked the kitchen to cook a bit more sauce for one of our dishes and brought it out to us. Great service.

Most disappointed. Pasta not good. Might be worth sending the managers and cooks to Italy so that they know what pasta is. We won't return... Ever!

Service here is great, staff knowledgeable about allergies, food varies - the Linguine con Frutti Di Mare in the photo was excellent, the breaded chicken in the Pollo Milanese was not good. And it's not worth the price in my opinion, although that's less of a reflection of Ask Italian, and more about food prices in the UK in general. Three stars seems too mean, I like going, but four stars feels too much.

Absolutely lovely branch of the chain right at the centre of the marketplace. The far windows get a wonderful view of the palace and moat, even the cathedral beyond. The staff was extremely friendly and prompt. We were welcomed with a nice juice and service was very fast despite how busy the restaurant was. For someone who has a lot of Italian, it was nice to see a little different menu. The portion sizes were really good and the food, including the dessert was great. The ambience of the place is lovely and makes you want to spend some time here.

Great across the board, very friendly staff and never had an issue with the food. Waiting times are also very reasonable and you're never left waiting for the next course.

Came out for my birthday, first one as Coeliac and could not fault the service and food. Was absolutely beautiful and the staff were amazing! One of our kids favourite places to eat as choices and prize is exceptional for children.

Ask is quite quite reliable when you know what to expect. Food is good enough and reasonably priced. The service is really good, but you can tell the servers have to deal with too many tables at once (4/5) I was disappointed with the calamari. I wasn't expecting it to be fresh, but it was clearly frozen, slightly chewy and over battered. - worth noting, I didn't give feedback and we ate it all.. so take from what you will. (5/5) The reason why I chose Ask, especially in Wells is because the restaurant has enough space for the number of tables. I really don't like it when tables are crammed in and Ask don't do that. You can have a quiet meal without being disturbed by the table next to you and you can pull your chair out without bumping into anyone. At the same time, it's not like being out alone, there is adequate atmosphere. I think they have the balance just right. (5/5)

Comprehensive menu. Noisy when full. Expensive for what you get in my opinion.

We enjoyed our meals very much! Alex our waiter was very attentive. The only comments we could make are: Maybe the music might be a bit softer, it sounds harsh and maybe the speed of how fast we got our meals might be a bit less fast. These are minor points. The food snd service were outstanding

We enjoyed the food, especially desserts, but the service was quite inconsistent. We would've had a better experience overall if the staff were more attentive, as the food came out quickly but the staff took a while to take our orders/ give us the bill (even when we tried to get their attention).

When i went to wells i was there just to take in the history and location i never expected to end up eating by far the best pizza i have ever ate i was first in the store when opening started the food options for vegetarians was wide and some food had vegetarian versions (I did not eat any vegetarian food) when i went in the handed a little bit of pink Lemonaid in a shot glass that tasted great i sat next to the window were you can watch the water and palace

We felt very rushed this time at ASK whereas before we always enjoyed it.

Really wonderful food. The calamari and the lasagna were perfect. Gus was our server and he was very professional.

Very enjoyable meal and we felt very safe as this branch is spacious, airy and well managed. The menu was varied and there was plenty of choice. A real treat to be out for a relaxed lunch after months of lockdown.

Enjoyed a family lunch out. Great atmosphere and very attentive waiter. Not rushed. Light and airy. Sat by window with a good view of moat and cathedral walls.

We arrived without a booking, but Ryan found us a table nonetheless. The service was efficient and friendly. The food arrived promptly, piping hot and tasted lovely. Very happy with our visit, would happily return should we be in the area!

We always choose to come to Ask in Wells for large family gatherings. The food is great, the staff incredibly helpful and the atmosphere is the icing on the cake! Thank you again for another great experience.

Peter our server was 10/10. Very polite. Very approachable. Food was delicious. My only downfall was that we were seated by the serving bay and it was incredibly noisy.

Lovely food & drink. First time there but will be going back.

Our server Gus was wonderful and checked in on us throughout the meal. The restaurant has a lovely view and we really enjoyed the atmosphere, food and decoration.

I came in a few months ago and seen a member of staff I also seen that member of staff ( a grown man ) attack hit and pin down 2 teenage girls yet he still has a job despite video evidence absolutely disgusting won't be back

Mixed opinions. Don’t go on a Monday. They close up early to clean the kitchen and don’t advertise the fact online. Rant over. But I drove a long way on my bike to use my Tesco vouchers. However the staff were apologetic and lovely. They let me order a take out. Which I enjoyed in the drizzy outside. The Manzo Piccante was delicious.

Visited with family for a Saturday dinner out. Some good additions to the menu since we last visited. Pizzas have a lovely thin and crispy base!

I went with my family and grandchildren. We asked for an extra chair and was told we should have asked in advance the table had enough room to accommodate the chair. The food was good but the member of staff at front of house was very surly and abrupt!!

I can't speak more highly about my first visit to the Wells ASK. The food was exceptional, including the vegan and gluten free pizza. The service was exceptional: friendly and accommodating. The ramp up into the restaurant was a bit too steep for my wife's powered chair, but was otherwise great from an accessible perspective. Fab!

Great food, new spring menu, lovely staff, just a bit chilly, the air con was on and it was not the warm and evening.

First visit to Wells and Ask Italian. Really loved the decor and view of Wells Cathedral amazing! Food was great and our server, Peter, was excellent. Made for a lovely evening with friends and would definitely recommend a visit.
