This place is amazing, dog friendly, nice pool table and dartboard. There is an excellent beer garden with fire pit. There is a box of blankets by the bar for use in the garden. Actual music gets played on the jukebox, you also have groups that meet there regularly like the ukulele group who meet up and jam in there. On the food front, they don't do food, however they provide plates and cutlery and you can get your Indian delivered from across the road, or you can pick up your Chinese again on the other side of the road. You get the best of both worlds.

Very expensive, cold and horrible, partly reheated, partly not heated properly in the first place, and the wrong items. It arrived nearly 90 mins after ordering, after having to chase them up - they clearly didn't give a toss that our expensive food had gone missing, and the delivery driver, who had taken over an hour to drive 2 miles, was offended when I remarked that the meal was now cold. Apparently everyone should really want tepid food that has kicked around in the back of a car for over an hour on a cold night. What came across was that they think it is our job to pay through the nose and pat the delivery driver on the head for ruining our meal, rather than it being their job to ensure that delicious, piping hot food is delivered quickly. A refund should be automatic in these circumstances, but I now have to earn the price of my expensive, awful meal, so won't have time for the endless petulant struggle with R and T which this will entail. Will NEVER EVER use again.

Bowlish House is an absolutely beguiling country house hotel nestled in a quiet corner of Somerset. It is filled with art, light, and warm family-friendly vibes. If you are looking for the true country house experience in Somerset I can’t recommend Bowlish House enough!

We had a treat takeaway tonight and what a disappointing dinner it was nothing was edible the chicken balls tasted like cardboard and we chucked the duck in orange sauce dish away as the smell was really offensive and the meat looked off I would avoid eating at sunrise hopefully we are not all sick later such a shame wast of money

We met an old chap in the pub, like you do,whilst staying locally to Frome. He recommended this bakery. In particular the bread pudding, see pic, my hand is shown for size comparison! The Nelsons slice, square shaped cake, and we also tried a bakewell tart! All very nice and very reasonably priced. Is cash only though.
