This café is very convenient for the main shopping area and we needed a break after spending the morning shopping. It is in a slightly tucked away location and has a nice interior and some outside seating. We enjoyed two good quality flat white coffees which cost £6.50.

My friend and I had an afternoon tea , didn’t think there was a lot of food for the cost of it,the sandwiches were tiny , had a very small pot of tea to share , had one top up , asked for another , was told had to pay for an extra small pot .. was charged £4.20 for it … was disgusted !!

Having stood where Brucciani once was, this place has big shoes to fill. Unfortunately my first visit was less than impressive. I ordered the avocado and poached egg on toast, the price wasn't listed so after paying I asked how much it was and it was £8.95. I looked forward to seeing what was brought out for that price and was very disappointed. The toast was slightly burnt, there wasn't avocado on every bit of toast, there was no garnishing or extras, and worst of all the poached egg was not poached. I was disappointed to find the yolk was not runny, it was over done like a hard boiled egg. I would not recommend this item, maybe other things are better but on this occasion I was not impressed.

Really good lunch. Pleasant surroundings; friendly, professional and prompt service. Very good jacket potato, good size and properly baked skin. I liked that the tuna and mayo was served in a separate pot as it was very cold. Will go again.

Prices good. Servers were distracted and took a while to get drinks made. Drinks not the best. Way too much syrup in 1 of them and the other coffee only had about half a shot in there and tasted like flavored milk. Decor and atmosphere are good but probably won't be back.

Had a Chicken Ceasar Salad and one of the best I've ever tasted. Prices below what some of the major coffee shops charge. A lot of the cakes and pastries look home made. Plenty of choices on drinks and I did spy alcohol. Plenty of tables and also some outside. Looking forward to coming back.

The cake was nice, the coffee wasn’t great and the staff were all grumpy the day we visited. To top it off the bathroom wall under the hand drier was absolutely filthy, covered in dirt and dust and hair, probably won’t be back!

Had afternoon tea today and it was delicious. The staff really looked after us too. Friendly atmosphere and fab food. Even asked us if we wanted more. Had tea, crisps, scones, trifles, cakes, sandwiches and sausage rolls.

For my birthday, I decided it would be lovely to celebrate with an afternoon tea! I discovered Five Fox Lane provided a takeaway afternoon tea and thought it would be perfect as myself and a friend could sit outside in a park! On arrival, we were told this was their first takeaway afternoon tea, which was surprising as this was the best takeaway afternoon I’ve ever had! All the staff were lovely when visiting the cafe to pick up and made our cups of teas fresh when we arrived! As well as this, the afternoon tea included many delicious treats (sandwiches, crisp, scones and cakes), so much that we weren’t able to finish it all and had it the next day! Everything was provided such as cutlery which made the experience very easy! I would highly recommend fix fox lane’s afternoon tea, especially if you are looking to have a picnic on a sunny afternoon!

I can highly recommend the cake at 5 Fox Lane, it is the best we've had in a cafe for years. The coffee was good too. The cafe is clean & bright, the staff were efficient & pleasant. I couldn't ask for more, although I would have liked to order another slice of cake to try a 3rd one !

There is a great choice of tea and coffee here, with delicious cake. It is so nice to go somewhere with its individual character and choices, rather than the standard coffee shops we are getting used to. I recommend a visit.

I visited with a friend as a treat before I had my baby. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The afternoon tea was superb and so reasonably priced! The cafe and its decor are lovely. I can't wait to visit again as soon as I have recovered.

Visited here 2 days following and was disappointed. Staff constantly shouting “Alexa next-Alexa next ” grease or dirty dancing blaring out that they didn’t hear us answer to which sauce we wanted in our bacon roll so the didn’t put any in. Black coffee also doesn’t have milk in. If you turn the music down and concentrate on delivering what customers order they will return, unfortunately we won’t.

This was our third visit to The Smoking Goat and we again loved everything. Service by Holly and PJ was fabulous, nothing was a bother and we were well looked after! Huge vegan selection and I even got a dessert! Deep fried pickles are an absolute must and the portions are really big!!! Great atmosphere and food. Be back soon

Good value, great taste. We had the cappachino together with a hot chocolate served with a very friendly, chatty service. Made it all worthwhile.

Visited Glastonbury whilst on a weeks break in Crewkerne. Popped into to this lovely cafe as it was dog friendly. Forgetting my glasses I asked if they catered for gluten free, they did (it stated it on the menu). As I ordered the lady behind the counter asked if I was coeliac, I told her I was. When the food was brought to the table, the lady explained that she had cleaned the kitchen and prepared my food using all new unopened ingredients. All I had was a corned beef and onion sandwich, but the attention to detail was second to none. Really recommend this place to coeliacs and non coeliacs.
