This is a great farm shop and cafe not far from Glastonbury. Gets very busy at times. Food is very good, freshly prepared so there's a bit of a wait. You can sit and admire the views with a coffee whilst you wait. The Katsu curry was very good

We had 2 full English breakfasts, which were good but very expensive at £14 each. No option for a smaller version. Also had banana and chocolate French toast which was 2 small pieces, very soggy and not pleasant. Also overpriced. We had 2 coffes, and a pumpkin latte was so sweet it was undrinkable. So 3 breakfasts and 3 drinks cost £49... Lovely setting but acoustics were awful and had to talk loudly to hear each other. Service was great, although they didn't come to see if everything was okay with our food. We won't be coming back sadly (sorry!)

Went there for lunch with my friend have been there before but won't be going again. I asked if l could have a cheese and bacon sandwich as both items were on menu but was told no then l explained l was gf so order a gf burger with no onion as l can't eat onion my friend ordered the burger from the specials board. When the food came l had mistakenly been given her burger no the gf which we didn't realise until we were halfway through eating them. We pointed it out to the waitress who was apologetic stressed how serious this was and offered some ideas that could be put in place to prevent this happening. We were offered no discount or free dessert as an apology was made to feel like we were an inconvenience

A nice setting with super views but food and service were really disappointing. I ordered a cheese sandwich which wasn’t cheap at the same time as friends I was with. It wasn’t brought out with my friends food. I waited for a long time eventually went back in to ask where it was. No real apology given, the staff seem fairly disinterested and I was eventually given a very mediocre grated cheese sandwich with a tiny lump of chutney in a bit of the sandwich on low quality sliced almost stale brown bread. Very overpriced food and poor service. A shame as it’s a lovely setting.

Went to Middlewick this morning with a ladies walking group. Fabulous routes from here; and we ended in coffees to please all tastes on a reserved table for 11. There was a range of cakes too. Great service considering 11 different types of drinks were delivered in no time. I also visited for my birthday lunch- great menu and service.

Really disappointed for our first visit here today. Breakfast was slow but to be expected as they were busy. Tables, floors and glasses were dirty for first thing in the morning. Drinks took a while to arrive while we were waiting for breakfast. Granola bowl was mainly just dried granola for £10. My husbands poached eggs weren’t soft, overpriced bacon was extra with our order and was over cooked & when I asked for some yoghurt and fruit for my 4year old son I was refused even though I had been served a small amount with my granola. He was upset. I won’t be visiting again sadly, stick to Jordan’s courtyard, so much better food, quality and service for the price.

We have been visiting this wonderful Cafe since it opened a couple of years ago. We are usually there with our 3 dogs and have always been made to feel welcome. We tend to sit outside in all weathers and are offered seated seats and blankets if it’s cold. On very busy days the service isn’t fast, but we don’t go there for fast food, we go for the venue, the views and the delicious food. Highly recommend

Do not believe that this place is dog friendly. I took a 16 week old puppy today (part of his socialisation training) and just after our meal was served we were told to leave by the owner, in view of the puppy barking. He had barked a couple of times, on each occasion as he need to pee or poo, and was taken outside accordingly. Other dogs present also barked at times, then ours barked at a dog that had come in and sat nearby. The owner was extremely rude and the whole situation was handled appallingly. We were offered no help in carrying our pates and glasses outside (not sure they wanted us to stay to complete our meals even outside). the issue was further compounded by a member of staff who was extremely rude to my friends when they went in to pay the bill. Needless to say we will not return

Location is stunning and food quality is OK, service is absolutely shocking. 30 minutes wait for a offer and a tea is ridiculous.. they appear to have put so many tables in to a limited space which has resulted in lots of customers coming in and filling the place however, they are not able to create the quality dishes and service at the pace required to meet the demand.. suggest employing more staff and increasing the size of the kitchen or reduce the number of tables you are trying to serve before you damage you reputation

A few of the servers decided to make my party feel uncomfortable because we ordered one thing and they brought out something different. After that it felt like being back at school. All I will say is this… if you don’t have the right personality to serve the general public, be friendly and polite; accept a mistake and be able to move on, then do something else. In my opinion too many young and immature women working together made our party feel very uncomfortable for something that wasn’t our fault in the first place. I did wonder whether it all started at the beginning when I never tipped on card payment. Tips at the end shows satisfaction OR not as the case may be.

Would have been nice to have breakfast here. However, despite telling counter staff we were there for food - after they asked us ‘ food or just coffee?’- we were told, after waiting 15 minutes for service, that the kitchen had stopped cooking as they were ‘too busy’. In fact they had stopped serving before we sat down - so why not tell us that? Yes, they were busy, but there were spare tables! Two members of staff were very nice, one young woman we thought very rude and dismissive. I live in Glastonbury and will not be going back. Sorry about that ad the food looked great! A perfect little shop for local produce. Ideal items for our stay at Middlewick, or if you are camping nearby. The cafe has a good choice of food. We both had a full English breakfast. I had a few extras as I was hungry, but to be fair the basic breakfast would have been enough for me. Good food, well cooked. Only on minor criticism, in that we had a pot of tea for two. The pot is a reasonable size, but whatever it is made from does not hold the heat so the tea went cold fairly quickly. Apart from that. All was good and we would eat there again on our next stay.

I popped in on the off chance for a cheeky cider and some food. The place was very busy, and I didn't have a reservation. But John the Landlord sorted me out with a little table. I order the smoked haddock with chive mash and a poached egg on top. It was absolutely amazing. I was so glad not to see your traditional pub menu. The food was excellent and so was the service. I will definitely be back and I would highly recommend The Bell Inn, especially if you want something traditional and hearty that isn't just burgers and steaks. Although they do do burgers and steaks. I can't wait to return again. Thanks John and thanks the Bell Inn team.
