This is a review on behalf of my parents who had a Sunday carvery last week. They arrived to poor customer service by not being welcomed upon arrival. They then went to the carvery station and asked for pork and beef as their choice of meat. The meat portions were extremely small and the pork had poorly cooked jelly type fat surrounding it. The Yorkshire pudding was very hard on the outside and the rest of it was mushy. The vegetables they had were tasteless and then to top it all off the gravy which was in concealed in a white jug was red and watery. Upon finishing their food they were not asked how their meal was or offered a choice of desserts. Overall very disappointing and won't be returning under this management.

Went there for a Sunday carvery around 1 ish. After a quick phone call to see if they could fit us. 5 minutes later we were in and eating. The Staff are friendly and helpful and the food was good with choice of beef, chicken and gammon. Cabbage, carrots, cauliflower and peas. Potatoes and Yorkshire puddings x1 Price was reasonable. Sorry no photos as I was to hungry to remember to take them. We would have no problems coming back.

The Street Inn is a good place depending on the time you go, during the day it is a safe and good place to go. The food is decent and the staff are good too! However during the night it can get busy and rowdy. If your looking for a cheap pint it's a option but would defiantly keep children away after 6pm

We arrived for a Carvery lunch for a friend’s birthday but it was extremely disappointing. Pub car park has rubbish on the ground including a dirty nappy! Landlord was friendly but food was abysmal. We had the tail end of the gammon and turkey which was dry and the vegetables were not cooked properly and stuffing was dry and overcooked. A young lad served us, but he needs to attend a hygiene course as he was picking gammon off with his hands and eating it and then putting the bit he didn’t eat back down on the plate and continued to prod the meat with his fingers! I couldn’t really believe what I was seeing. I had visited before and the food was better quality. However I will be going elsewhere for a carvery lunch in the future.

I ordered a gin and tonic which came in a glass that had never seen a dishwasher, it was thick with grime that you could scrape off, I wasn’t the only one who’s glass came out dirty from my table. You would expect glasses to be clean at the best of times let alone during a pandemic, they obviously didn’t wash it as were very busy and hurrying people to finish their drinks so that they could be used elsewhere. Sadly equipped for kids now. Pool/dart room ripped out and made into playroom (main bar) and new play area outside with double bouncy castles. Play area is built where you got last of evening sun. Not a place for a relaxing pint anymore 😟, which is a shame. Used to love free pool on Sunday after a scrummy roast. Definitely not the same food wise either. Sadly started using pub further afield. If you are going to shop in Street, drop in and see Cyril at The Street Inn. He’ll make you feel very welcome. The food is excellent. My husband had the burgers and they were the best, you can choose from a range of toppings. The lasagne is proper homemade with garlic bread and salad. Large outside seating area. The landlord has clearly made every effort to comply with government guidelines throughout the pub . Very smart , clean, warm pub. Plenty of parking at rear. Staff are very attentive. We would definitely visit again because we enjoyed the meal, company and the atmosphere. Sadly we had to leave just as the cocktail lady was arriving! . I only give reviews if the pub is deserving. I’ve tried other pubs in Street, but this is definitely the BEST IN TOWN.

Visited Clarks village and rather than the usual chain restaurant offerings booked a sunday lunch here. The building is obviously old and, at some point in the past been a pivotal place for eating & drinking. Parking on site gave easy access. The decor is tired, toilet facilities basic but you are not paying a premium price. Basically two of us eat a sunday roast with good quantity of roasties & veg, great gravy and probably the best yorkshires I have been served. Desert followed and including drinks the total cost was £25. Happy bunnies!

Nice little find off the beaten track.Due to Covid Clark’s have shut down all the handy exits for this place so you have to make an effort to find it. But it’s worthwhile. The lounge was quite nice, maybe a little overcrowded with tables, but nicely done. There was an extensive menu and a specials board. The lady behind the bar was really pleasant but was struggling a little with the numbers as she was on her own. The food we ordered was not too bad albeit a little pub foodie. We ordered drinks from the bar whilst we waited, our order was taken and we were told the drinks would be bought to our table but despite the bar being practically void of customers it took about 20 minutes before our drinks arrived. Eventually our food order was taken and 5 of our table ordered the roast pork with apple sauce and crackling.....it was another 45 minutes and a practically empty restaurant before any food was brought out. They had forgotten to bring out the best bit of the roast pork roast, the crackling and apple sauce, upon asking for it we were simply told they had run out of crackling!
