What a fabulous breakfast. My husband had the GG one .it was massive. I had the garden centre one. They were both excellent. Great value . Tasty , with a large mug of coffee. Very friendly staff. Even our dog received a sausage and a lot of fuss. Comfortable and roomy. And the cakes looked to die for. Unfortunately to far from home. If this way again would definitely visit again

We usually take another route to Bristol from Weymouth, so saw this cafe snd thought we’d give it a try. Glad we did; bubble and squeak, 2 eggs and bacon and huge mugs of tea. My partner had apple crumble and custard to follow. Excellent! The staff were efficient and jolly. And they serve breakfast until 2.30pm! We will be back!

First visit to the cafe for breakfast. And overall it was very good. Lovely friendly staff, fast service and good menu. The breakfast was generous and tasty. We had two different options and both were very good. Sadly the Coffee was weak and tasteless. Realise that everyone likes their coffee different, but we didn't like the coffee. Shame. We also ordered extra toast. Bit surprised to be charged £3.50 for two slices of toast with butter - it did come with jam, which we didn't want. Very odd. But the worst part was that the 'barn' was very cold. There were two wood burning stoves both lit and burning well, but with the huge space and tall ceilings it didn't really help. We actually got cold eating our breakfast.

We have shopped for fresh produce at George's and been very happy with it. We heard good reports of their cafe for breakfast too. Sunday lunch in a barn sounded different and the staff were very welcoming. Portions are huge. So far so good. The roast Turkey still had some blood in it and the parsnips were not roasted. The potatoes were hardly roasted either. The cauliflower was mushy and overcooked. Yorkshire puddings still had uncooked batter inside. Carrots were fine as was roast beef. There is no licence but you can byo but this is not advertised. We will probably try breakfast here sometime and their doorstep roast beef sandwiches looked good. But not Sunday lunch.

Have saw this place advertised many times so thought we’d take a drive out for a visit. Shop very spacious, lots of produce and lots reasonably priced. Had 10% off as my Dad was over 60, we’d gone in the cafe first so unfortunately didn’t get the discount off there too! On entering our shoes were sticking to the floor, found a table and again it was very sticky! Food was nice enough but floor & tables could do with a deep clean.

Second time we have eaten here and it's amazing. The meals are plentiful & tasty. Portions are large but quality isn't compromised. Lovely friendly and welcoming team. Will certainly be back

The garden/produce outlet, has been open for a while but only recently opened the cafe. This has obviously become very popular very quickly as we arrived on Saturday morning after the big storm and only just managed to get seated. It has obviously become very popukar very quickly. The staff were welcomming and frendly, the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.

Didn’t have the pleasure of staying here. However they hosted a baby shower for us, providing 17 of us with afternoon tea and the attention to detail was amazing. From beautifully smelling candles and flowers everywhere to polite, kind staff. The afternoon tea was superb, more than enough food, beautifully presented and very tasty. Maryanne herself was so accommodating and very friendly from the first enquiry. Perfect venue.

A friend of mine needed to use the toilet due to an issue she needed to sort out and we aren’t from Glastonbury so didn’t know our way around. Some random girl behind the counter with an arm splint forced us to leave bc we weren’t ’paying customers’ even though we were literally going to get food after we had been to the loo?? Screamed at us in front of customers and had a nasty attitude…embarrassing for her really. Even went outside and watched us for some reason?? She needs a shower and to rethink the way she talks to people in ‘her’ cafe. Don’t recommend personally.

This is a great friendly pub, the food is traditional pub food, tasty. Been there twice now, beef stew with dumplings first time and roast dinner the second time, great selection of puddings too. A return visit next month, table already booked

Family recommended the Fish and Chips from here. It’s clear why they won an award, beautifully cooked fish and (slightly too big) chips. 😊

Owner is there, at the desk .. it’s rare now but it’s clear she cares a lot and is taking a series of steps to make the most of a historic and charming hotel - how many are left which are privately owned?! I had room 108 which was cute and comfy with iconic little views from two windows. Noticed a good sized outside area and the free parking was useful so centrally located in Shepton M. Price was very reasonable for a couple of nights stay. I didn’t eat at restaurant so can’t say how that was but would stay again if in area - so easy to nip down road to Glastonbury and enjoy the Tor views on the way.
