Stumbled on this place on a quiet Sunday eve while looking for a place to have a little nibble. It's very lovely. The service was very friendly, courteous and quick, the atmosphere is very relaxing and comforting, the food is lovely. Will definitely be back.

I have been coming here for years, it was the best Chinese I’d ever had. The last year or so the food has gone consistently down in quality. The price is DOUBLED if you eat in the restaurant so heed my warning. I spent £100 today for me and my family and we barely ate any of it. I don’t know what’s happened to the quality of the food but as the prices have gone up, the taste has gone down. I wouldn’t recommend eating here.

Absolutely terrible and inedible food! Fried rice was mush, Stir fried quid was like eating leather with zero taste. Saty sauce was watery, shredded beef was what saved us from going Straving. Really not OK and won't order again!

First of all I would like to say thank you very much to the lovely lady who took our Take Out order. For a first timer to Chinese Take Away, she was very patient and kind to answering my questions. A brilliant start👍 As for the food Beef Chow Mein and Spring Rolls was an ideal meal for the two of us last night. Thank you very much indeed. 👌👌👌

The staff and waitress were polite and welcoming. Waitress was very helpful explaining the menu. Our meal and dessert were delicious. The only problem we had was not being able to tip the waitress. Apparently all tips go to the chef. Which I thought was a scandal.

Love this place. Have ordered many many times over the years. Our faves are salt n pepper prawns, Thai Green curry and black bean chilli :)

Situated in the town centre opposite St John's Church with plenty of parking nearby , we revisted this restaurant after.a gap of a few years. Still the same family running it. We had an excellent evening given a menu where you can build your own choice of meat or veg, sauce and rice / noodles. Staff were most helpful and food prepared to the highest standard. Excellent dessert. Could not fault it in any way.

We loved it here, had a meal when visiting Frome and it was probably the best Chinese meal we have ever eaten, and we've eaten many in our time! Everything so well cooked and flavourful. Kind staff and good atmosphere. Would highly recommend the Udon Noodle dishes. Plenty of vegetarian options if you have veggies in your party. We'll be back when we return to Somerset.

More like a fast food outlet. Menu is in a sheet of paper on the table. 1. You chose your meat. 2 You choose your meal. 3 You choose rice or noodles. The main and rice/ noodles come out on the same plate, just like a fast food outlet. You can't then try all the dishes as they are individuals meals. There are only about 6 options of dishes, Curry, Sweet n Sour, Black Bean, Satay and a couple of Thai curries. Meals are £13.80 and noodles another £2.90. So about £17.00 per meal. Sorry but my curry was 70% onions and very watery. I'm surprised it can call itself a restaurant. I can only say. Try at you peril LOL. Lager £5.60 a pint. Coke £3.95 a pint. Very overpriced for very basic food. Disappointed and never to return.

This used to be a great restaurant but unfortunately has gone downhill big time. Gone are the linen tablecloths, serviettes, table candle and small flower. Now just a wooden table with the menu printed on a used grubby paper “placemat”. Difficult to understand the restricted menu. The take-away menu offered full choice of dishes. No Chinese beer. Standard lagers plus Tiger brand. Beers weren’t poured just a glass and bottle served on the table. Food was prepared and served within 5 minutes making me wondering if it was microwaved. No food candle warmers so food got cold quickly. Condiments in grubby cellars. When I mentioned to the waiter the above I was told “we’re trying to be like Wannagamma”! One noodle, one chicken dish and two beers came to £39. Very overpriced for the food quality. Generally a poor dining experience with no ambiance. Definitely would not recommend and we shan’t be going again.

Visited two times on my recent visit to Frome. Customer service was great. The food was spot-on with fresh ingredients, good strong flavours, and some interesting dishes on the take-out menu, which is different from the dine-in menu. The dine-in menu is simplified to pick your preparation, then your protein, then the starch option. I liked the simplicity of the menu. Just be aware that the take-out menu is has some different options. Final note, their Carlsberg beer on tap is delightful.

Upon sitting down the menu at the table was confusing to follow and the prices were far more than online. We ordered 2 starts and 3 mains to share between myself and my girlfriend. This, on the app was £36.80. When the bill came to the table after some tasty food, the bill ran to £69.30. This was shocking to us as the bill was double the amount expected. We tried to discuss this with the owner. She was rude and did not listen to our complaints and would not budge on our bill. We expected it to be a bit more as we are in but more inline with other restaurants. (Typically a 15% increase not 100%). We do like this establishments food and the takeaway prices is good, however we will never return to eat in store as it’s not worth double the price! Save your money and takeaway if you come here at all!

The wait staff were young; a lad was vaguely enthusiastic -the rest looked as if they didn't want to be spending their Friday evening there. I ordered a Build Your Own: chicken, sweet and sour sauce, egg fried rice. It all had very little taste -and what taste it did have was a little unpleasant. The coffee was great -what there was of it -being served in quite a small cup. I asked for a Coke, and was open to being given a Pepsi. I was asked Large or small? I replied Small. I made the correct choice. It seemingly wasn't even a cheap cola. It tasted dreadful. Some other guests arrived during the course of our "meal", and were seated right next to us -even though the restaurant was otherwise completely empty. The lady who took our payment was the only other member of staff to raise something of a smile. My wife said her noodles were ok.

THE best Chinese!! Extensive vegan menu aswell which is a huge bonus. Staff are always lovely and always chat to the children when we pick up our take out. Definitely recommend!

Have eaten at the restaurant on a number of occasions and the service and food has always been very. good. Tonight however we had a delivery meal and I'm sorry to say it didn't live up to expectations. We both has Szechuan Chicken and were disappointed for different reasons. Mine had very little chicken - and was packed out with what appeared to be Pak chou -unlike that served in the restaurant, while my wife was felt her portion lacked the spicy heat of that served on the premises. So all in all a bit of a mixed bag ... brilliant restaurant offering, but if you're looking at a delivery maybe you'll have more luck than us

Ordered a takeaway last night. Really didn't want to have to leave such a review but unfortunately the quality was well below the standard we were expecting. Service was good, but the tofu on the fried rice was too chunky, greasy and bland. The rice itself was stodgy (like rice pudding) and without flavour. Didn't feel or taste like authentic hopefully this review helps you improve standards as we sadly wouldn't return.

Hadn’t eaten here since before the times of Covid. We were not disappointed. We mention that my wife is celiac and they produced a separate menu that had a celiac safe section. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. The staff were very friendly and looked after us at all stages and there was no waiting for additional drinks or for the bill at the end of the meal. Great value as well as less that £30 a head for mains with rice and a few sides. Highly recommended!

While there are cheaper Chinese takeaways out there, and the waiting time for delivery was quite long, it did taste pretty decent. The only downside was the salt & pepper squid was so rubbery I almost couldn't chew it! But other than that, good flavours all round.

Its a good few years since our last visit. The menu has changed no doubt after covid. We loved the veggie dishes especially the veggie style crispy chili beef. great service. We will be returning soon.

Delicious food with generous portions. Prawn crackers are not on the menu but they can be ordered. Restaurant was a bit nippy. Friendly, helpful staff. Bit of a misunderstanding with food - the meat mix noodles contained sea food which was not mentioned on the menu but staff quickly replaced it. Overall a pleasant evening out - we shall return!

Both takeaway and in house are great. This is our go to Chinese food in Frome. It's always fast, hot, great quality, and we get little fortune cookies (that are concerningly accurate?)

Hopeless service, clearly prioritising delivery orders over customers on the premises. Staff rude, 15 minutes late with food which was ordered in advance and clearly not bothered enough to even offer an apology or a gesture of good will while I waited. A very poorly run restaurant with staff needing a lesson in customer service and people skills!

Oh god, this was bloody good, and I've eaten a lot of Chinese food. Ordered a delivery on Friday, busy time, came quickly. I've never seen such an extensive selection for vegetarians with meat alternatives. Superb. I'm not a vegetarian but I only really eat chicken and seafood, but I'd ease off the chicken easily if every Chinese offered these dishes. I went for the satay and kung po - both lovely. I hadn't been to Frome in 3 years so someone recommended I eat in the Italian. I went in the wrong door and ended up here and I'm so glad I did. The food was delicious and the service was very good. I had a very bad experience yesterday at Dragon Pearl. A female staff with a short hair was extremely unfriendly. I had ordered Sichuan Tofu then I was given a sweet Tofu dish. This one is not authentic Chinese cuisine. And they don't have proper restaurant menu either. Least but not last, some staff are not friendly. I would not recommend it if you like authentic Asian food.
