We order a number of Chinese (we love it) we’ve been feeling really let down with offerings of the town. Decided to try happy valley, OH MY LORD IT WAS AMAZING, proper noodles and rice with that real wok smokey flavour 🤤🤤 it was chefs kiss. ALL OF IT. Piping hot, such quick delivery we weren’t ready. IT WAS AMAZING. Thank you Happy valley for the best food in years, really was beautiful. You’ll be seeing us alot 😂☺️🥰

First time in years we had this tonight chicken omelette had far to much chicken in and was cold , omelette wasn't cooked enough .Chips were cold , wasted 19 pounds as it all went in the bin , best thing was the free prawn crackers

Was recommended this Chinese by friends, i can't comment on the taste as when I cut into my chicken curry the chicken was pink and slimy clearly not cooked . Had to argue with management for a refund who obviously didn't care what he was serving. Never again ,

A great delivery service, the food is delivered quickly, is hot & of good quality. Very tasty. I’ve given up on the big delivery platforms & now go direct to local websites. I had many meals delivered cold and after long delays. Ordering direct from local sites gets me hot, quality food.

I ordered food for delivery directly from their website, it was delivered quickly, well within the time frame advertised. The food was hot & very tasty. Value for money was good.

Attached photo is the left over food that we could not eat because it was either tasteless or unnecessarily salty. My friends and I were waiting two and a half hours for a Chinese delivery from Happy Valley and after an hour we were repeatedly told it was ‘30 minutes’ or ‘ten minutes’ away. Some of our party had ordered a really nice Indian from Namira’s Spice 15 minutes after we had placed our order with Happy Valley, and they had theirs delivered over hour hour before the Chinese was even prepared. When we eventually had our food, the starters were too salty and missing dips, and the mains were tasteless. As other reviews have mentioned, the sauces were gelatinous, but you couldn’t tell the difference between each of the different sauces. Each one resembled beef in black bean sauce. Very unhappy valley.

We chose Happy Valley for a takeaway whilst staying in the area. Nearly 3 hours later and several phone calls spent chasing the whereabouts of our food! When the food arrived it was incorrect and inedible. The person on the phone was incredibly rude and wouldn't listen to our complaint. We were promised a refund and then ignored that fact and offered £10 then £20 which wasn't even half the cost of what we paid. Don't pick this chinese restaurant.

Only good thing generous portions we had special curry and lamb curry tried to tip out of container on to plate both Currys flopped out in one big blob no liquid just a big powdery blob you could tip your spoon upside down and nothing would fall off also the ribs was so dry even in the sauce you had a job to eat them I allways usually use china capital and wish I had tonight

Order took 1h 25mins to arrive. Customer service was appalling kept getting told it was out for delivery after 30 mins of it being sent out. Delivery driver was rude and unprofessional. Food was mediocre at best definitely not worth the frustration

Love this Chinese. The only place in Frome where the ribs are decent. They do have a tendancy to not answer the phone when they are busy and delivery can be very slow. Always order via their website and collect.

Awful food gave the whole family bad stomach it's put us off chinise don't go to happy valley it's awful

I've had a very positive experience. The food arrived incredibly fast, it was nice enough and the portions were extremely generous. Large really means large. It's very good value.

Possibly the most tasteless Chinese we ever had. Disappointed by the gelatinous sauces, missing pancakes, incinerated duck, almost slimy pork (which was not ordered, not even sure it was pork) Generally tasteless meal. Generous portions and fast delivery though

Very fast delivery, generous sized portions and fairly priced (which is surprising in Frome!). Black bean beef was the best I've had in a long time. The only niggle was that the salt & pepper squid was way (waaaaay) too salty (and I'm someone who loves salt). Would highly recommend this Chinese though

You were once our favourite go-to Chinese takeaway when visiting Frome. Disappointing in recent times. Tonight's was the last time - tasteless, rubbery chicken, overall bland. Such a shame.

We had an excellent takeaway from the Happy Valley, the food was very good, as was the service, great value prices too. My husband had chow mein and I had the chicken fried rice with curry sauce, very generous portions.

Sauces were gelatinous and very clearly blasted in the microwave and not fresh. The last 4 times we've ordered there has always been an item missing, even though we don't have a long complicated order and we always go through it twice on the phone. We then have to badger them and wait 10 minutes or longer while the other food goes cold for the item to come. I understand mistakes happen but 4 times in a row is unacceptable and it just feels like spite now. Won't be ordering again.

Ordered a Chinese online this evening and it arrived 30 minutes late. The rice was cold and had chunks of uncooked rice in it. The crispy chicken was not crispy. Very soggy and couldn’t chew it, it was like cardboard. Really disappointed as the last time I went here my prawns weren’t cooked properly. Not worth your money at all. We have been trying for 1 hour to get through on the phone to speak to them to get a refund and it’s engaged every time.

Found a hair in the food that had been ordered. Called them to let them know what had happened and managed to get a refund on that dish, but when the lady turned up to collect food and give the refund she gave incorrect amount of money that was discussed over the phone...and was very rude about it. Wouldn’t advise anyone to get a takeaway from here

The whole of my order was totally inedible. Rubbery, tasteless chicken, watered down sauces, a giant meat spring roll (when I'd ordered mini veg ones) that was undercooked and half stuck to the paper bag. Literally the WORST takeaway I've ever, ever had.

The most disgusting Chinese meal I have ever eaten. All the sauces were gelatinous and gloopy. The meat was all over cooked. The seaweed was soggy not crispy. The duck and the pancakes were dried out. The mixed veg was soggy and didn't taste of anything except pepper. I threw most of it in the bin!

Very slow service! Over an hour wait! Phone call to establishment to be told well he’s out for delivery. Not apology from delivery man when finally arrived. There are better options in the area.

Rude!! Everything was all well and good until half way through our meal which was for a special occasion. A pregnant family member ordered a beef meal so find a prawn half way through her meal, as being sensitive to everything as a pregnant lady she was sick in the middle of the dinning room infront of everyone result in everyone being put off their food, that's a lot of money wasted a birthday meal ruined. I rang to talk to the manager and was made out to be lying, he was very rude on the phone and clearly didn't care. He demanded I took the meal back, I refused so he sent a driver who was also very cocky and making comments how we still are half of the meal. Prawn wasnt found straight away or the whole order would of been going back! We were regular customer but after tonight we will not be going back!

Usually really good but tonight my lemon chicken was dry and the sauce was bland. The egg fried rice was weird, bland and had a strange texture. I couldn’t eat any of it and really not in the mood to call and complain. Luckily the wife’s King Prawn Fried Rice was ok and we shared that.

Half the order was missing after it was read back to us when placed, food was cold greasy and disgusting. Would avoid this Chinese if your looking forward to enjoying a nice takeaway.

reviews looked good so gave this place a try had a special curry and my partner had a beef curry both were bland and like eating meat and gravy a curry should be spicy its not hard just add chilli.

Best takeaway I've had in a long time. There sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style is scrumptious. My partner had ribs. He was extremely satisfied with them and they were meaty and plenty of them. Definitley worth a visit if your in Frome.

Have been using Happy Valley for 3 years now. The food is totally yummy and delivery is always very prompt. Even 15 mins early tonight! Can't recommend this take away enough !!

Got Chinese on way home from cinema . Plenty of choice friendly staff and didn't have to wait long for it even though they were busy with deliveries. Good was hot and tasted fantastic. Got free fortune cookies. Definitely going back again.

This has quickly become our reqular Chinese take away. Staff our lovely, especially the young lady on the front desk. Food is absolutely incredible and we always have dome left for the next day. Ive never been a fan of prawn crackers but I can't get enough of the ones from Happy Valley! Food can be ordered online which is a bonus. Delivery drivers are always quick and polite. Seriously cannot fault them

Long time customer for 4 yrs +, Read previous comments and there a bit harsh. Fairly standard menu but as good if not better than other takeaways. Huge portions, open to changes,recommend sweet and sour balls! Free prawn crackers as well.

Food came earlier than expected. A little greasy but just what we wanted. Nice Peking duck but we had to put it in the oven to crisp it up a little. Lovely to have free fortune cookies!
