Prices are very reasonable. With less salt requested, they can cook foods with little salt. Fried Shirmp E noodles is excellent. Quantity of shrimps was very generous. Fried bean spouts and fried vege are normal. With No broccoli in the mixed vege was disappointed. Plain omelette with fries is ok. Massive hand made spring rolls were given as free. Very nice but salty, but with lots of bean spouts inside, we know that they have to do like this. If not, it will be stinky very soon. Si Chuan Chicken was totally different from then original one. Maybe because the boss come from southern part of China instead of the south west. He was so nice and introduced the attractions in Glastonbury. He do speak Cantonese too.

Terrible… hope the bin enjoyed it more than us… worst take out I’ve ever had the misfortune if trying to eat…

Really generous portions and lovely staff. The food is always wonderful and piping hot, I have never had a Chinese as good as this and would happily drive all the way to Glastonbury to get another! Never judge a book by its cover it may not look flashy but the food is the best in town!

Bit dubious about switching Chinese takeaway restaurant choice, but no where else was open on this occasion. Pleasantly surprised. Food tasted great, fast service, definitely will return

Lovely staff, great food, great price. You can tell it was made with love. I live in London and came from Glastonbury for the weekend. Have to say it is better than Chinese in the city. Not sure what the other reviews are talking about... Peking Palace all the way!

A distinct lack of herbs and spices in food prepared quickly and without any attention to detail. A waste of time and money, ended up having to add lots of soy sauce and chilli at home to get any flavour out of the greasy fare 🤨 they do most of their business when the Oriental Chef opposite is closed on Tuesday. Pretty much Russian roulette with the food quality here, I still usually end up here every few months due to the tragic lack of options

Probably one of the worst take out meals I've had, meat was dry and tasted old, the seaweed was not how you'd expect, it was big fat chunky bits of cabbage with no taste, rice was hard and the crispy chilli beef was pretty much just covered in flour and cooked. Nothing had any taste. Very disappointed

Two takeaways ordered and both of them were great. Happy to recommend. Would visit again when in the area

For me personally I think this takeaway is okay for food and price. And if really like the old school couple that run this business.

I have been going to peking palace for years and it is the best Chinese place I have ever eaten at in my life.

The chinese opposite had a big queue and I wanted to get back so thought I would take a chance... it was truly horrible and confusing all at once! I don't understand why the satay sauce was transparant and looked like chicken stock and snot. If I had dropped my meal on the floor it would have looked like someone vommed it up, which in reality would cut out the middle person. My karma for impatience.

Visiting Glastonbury a lot of restaurants closed on a Monday/Tuesday, Peking Palace was the only local Chinese open. They don’t have a website/online menu so didn’t know what there was but called up and managed to put in an order. The owner didn’t have amazing English so wasn’t very easy but he was very accommodating. Food was ready extremely fast, they only accept cash which I only found out once I got there as again no online presence. Food was extremely large portions and very tasty, not too sweet or artificial. Took home a menu leaflet with my order and would have loved to know the menu before ordering as I definitely liked the look of some of the items you don’t see on typical fast food Chinese menus. Just a shame I couldn’t find it online.

Ordered from this place tonight and the most positive thing I can say is this: the best part of the meal was the prawn crackers and there was absolutely nothing special about the prawn crackers. Dreadful. My crispy orange chicken wasn't crispy; it was just tough. And it tasted like a gone-off jarred orange sauce. I could only stomach one mouthful before throwing it away. The satay sauce was like a watered down, out of a jar soup. The spare ribs were at least edible, but certainly near the bottom of the list for any Chinese take-away ribs I've had in my life.

Amazing food! Very highly recommended. Despite the limited english, the lovely couple who run it work very hard to create great quality, affordable chinese takeaway food. A local gem!

We rang up to ask what vegan options there were as we couldn't find a menu online and a lovely gentleman had some great suggestions for us. We had 2x tofu & vegetables with black bean sauce and it was lovely. Ready in 10 mins and piping hot. The perfect end to our day in Glastonbury. Thank you!!

Long wait but good food in large portions.

The last time we visited this was our favourite takeaway, but we weren’t quite so impressed this time. The food was a bit bland, with a somewhat watery sauce – although it was OK. Customers should remember that this food outlet only accepts cash, not cards.

A good meal at a fair price prepared quickly

Lovely little Chinese takeaway. The food from here tastes great and the portions are of a good size. Food is cooked fresh and very efficiently, they often add in a little surprise for us like extra spring rolls. Their set menus are very good especially the vegetarian one, more than enough to feed 3 people. Highly recommended

The food is always amazing here, whenever we order we never have any problems at all. The portions are generous and everything is very tasty. Best Chinese in the area by far :)

Very good Egg fried rice, portions little smaller & price little higher then the other Chinese place opposite & it’s cash only but the food is better in this 1 in my opinion.

Lovely food and really nice kind owner. Would be great if you could add some vegan food to the menu, would help as Glastonbury is quite vegan friendly and I know a few Chinese restaurants in the area a do this. Other than that it was nice and not overly expensive.

Below average... had veg curry, it wasn't very tasty at all. Full of corn starch instead of coconut milk... no more

BEWARE IN SINGAPORE FRIED RICE IT IS REALLY SPICY My family couldn't eat it, its was burning there mouths and for 5.20 it was a waist of money, prawn crackers were fully of grease, will NOT be visiting here again soon , best thing was the fortune cookies!

Excellent food, friendly staff, very helpful. Cannot fault food! Well worth a visit. Best Chinese in Glastonbury by far.

Quick service and friendly. Menu was as expected, however rice is charged extra unless you want a curry dish. Chairs are available whilst waiting. Pre-order via phone is possible or just drop in. Food is fresh and plentiful. It most certainly was very nice.

If you like boiled meat from a can and a selection of thick gelatinous supplements, fill your boots.

Have eaten a couple meals here now and they were very nice. Chinese owners are very friendly and helpful, food cooked straight away so didn't have to wait long, also meant it was piping hot. My girlfriend asked about something that wasn't on the menu and he made it for her anyway, charging less than I imagined. And i had the best duck chow mein ever! It's the only worth while Chinese in Glastonbury forget any competition over the road!!

I ordered sweet and sour chicken ... I got a disgusting hybrid of a chicken and seafood fish ... Chicken does not come as rubbery squid rings.... Going to say really lucky i am not allergic to seafood .. Also crispy beef ...tough and again disgusting Was given two free spring rolls .. So greasy went straight in the bin . Will not order from here again If you have allergies DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE ..clearly have no idea serving fish when chicken ordered .....what else are they not careful with

One of the worst Chinese meals ever. I ordered crispy chilli beef, which was very tough and chewy, the separate sauce was insipid and glutinous, far from spicy or hot. I couldn't finish it. Never again.

Nice Chinese, with a good price, the owner and chef is a great guy, he even gave us more spring rolls than what it say on the menu.

We ordered via phone and got the set meal for two, it was ready quick, but it was really poor quality. It seemed the idea is about quantity and the food is bland and uninspiring, I would not go back.

We won’t be coming back here! Tasteless, Burnt, overcooked, reheated! Waste of money it all went in the bin !

Ordered from here on our last trip to Glastonbury. Staff were pleasant enough,waiting time was good.We ordered a meal for 2 as we tend to do wherever as we regularly eat Chinese be it at home or away.We have never had such a bad ,tasteless meal! Supermarkets are tastier to the point even our greedy labrador refused to eat. We threw more than 3/4 of meal away.

It’s a good takeaway, and our order was ready in ten minutes. Customers should be aware, however, that they don’t accept credit cards – but prices are very reasonable, and there are close-by ATMs if needed.

We couldn’t decide between Oriental Chef (across the road) and Peking Palace, since they seemed to get much the same ratings on Trip Advisor. Peking Palace won out, since it opened earlier, and we had a menu. There were three of us, so we decided to opt for the set vegetarian menu and augment it with extra spring rolls, crispy seaweed, an extra helping of rice, and some crackers. This proved to be more than enough, and we had almost sufficient for a second full meal. Other reviewers report an unduly lengthy wait, so we decided to order and collect the meal on the premises rather than to have it delivered. The proprietor said the order would take ten minutes: in fact, it was ready in just over five. We were extremely pleased with the food – all absolutely delicious. I would certainly recommend the sweet and sour tofu. I’m not normally a fan of noodles, but I think Peking Palace has converted me! I don’t know whether the competitor across the road is as good, but I think Peking Palace would be difficult to better. By the way, it may be useful to know that they do not accept cards – only cash.

worst chinese ive ever had couldnt eat it now i know why the place is always empty. Mushrooms were either stale or dried and rehydrated. will await my all night sitting on the loo.

Tried the rest, this place is definitely the best. Good size portions, tasty food, always piping hot and never too long to wait. Reasonably priced, too.

Have visited this takeaway many times over the years & have not had a bad meal yet. Not worth an excellent rating, but well above average, the reasonable prices & prompt pleasant service are a win for me.

Me dieron una comida para llevar de aquí ayer.. y fue el peor que he comido. Normalmente no me gusta hacer esto, pero siento que necesita para conseguir esto.

Queríamos algo rápido, pero las fichas de cartón, rollos de tortitas y curry salsa era asqueroso. Me recordaba de nuevo ¿por qué no usar este chino llevar. Las patatas fritas eran de cartón como los rollos de tortitas eran malos y sin sabor y la salsa curry era muy aguada. Toda la comida era incomible. Definitivamente no recomiendo este chino.

We went there yesterday evening and got rice noodles with vegetables, corn soup and spring rolls. I love the service as the nice Chinese gentleman made sure that we got vegan food. The service was very quick and the food very delicious.

Para llevar muy sabroso, buen servicio, caliente, bueno el tamaño de las porciones. Tuvimos que cambiar nuestro ordinario para llevar como el último en tenía mala clasificación de higiene de los alimentos. Pekín es 5/5. Se usan regularmente ahora. Tengo que decir que nunca he encontrado un sitio que incluye arroz o patatas fritas como publicado por un crítico! Puedo recomendar Peking Palace.

Ordered a special curry here and was a bit disappointed. It does not include rice or chips unlike every other Chinese in the country. Poortions were also on the small side. It was very expensive compared to others. I won't be coming back

Como un vegetariano es a menudo la manera más fácil para mí para comer. Sin embargo en Glastonbury por supuesto hay otros restaurantes que sirven para veganos. Hoy me apetecía rollitos de primavera con una sopa vegetariana estricta y algunas malas hierbas de mar. Los rollitos de primavera son la manera en que debe ser, crujiente y muy sabroso. Nos encantó. Stopping at the Premier Inn just out of town and wanted to avoid the hell hole Brewers Fayre, so we opted for a takeaway. It was 5pm on a wet Tues and they were open so we dived in to order. Friendly welcome. hubby had a vegetable curry and I wanted a Cashew nuts & mixed veg as neither of us eat meat. Though it wasn't on the menu they happily agreed they could make it for me. Only waited about 10 mins and it was cooked. Took it back to the hotel to eat and it was lovely, really tasty, loads of cashews. Would call there again if we were in the area.

Absolutely nice food with a good price. NOM NOM NOM !!! One thing you must try in Glastonbury. I recommend fried rice.

Good food nice people family run and open on Tuesday only one in the area

I used to live in Glastonbury and this was my regular Chinese takeaway. The takeaway is small and there is never a long wait for the food, a good idea is to call before and then go to the shop a little after so you don't have to wait very long at all. The food is good, always hot and prices are reasonable, portion sizes do vary but is enough for what you pay. The takeaway is family run and the service is always excellent.
