The best restaurants in Mendip South West

Lovely cappuccino and the staff were friendly and helpful. Friends that I was with had lunch and they had dietary needs, that the staff were really great with and offered alternatives. We were made to feel welcome throughout our visit and I will definitely be back again.

Daisy was brilliant! Kept us topped up and we had a great night!! Excellent food, excellent service and amazing music! Can’t wait to go back!!!!

Delicious food, pricier than I'm used to, did wonder if I'd paid for another table after leaving lol, but the food was quality.

Staying near by it an Airbnb thought would call in. We received a very welcome from Nicola ( who only works Tuesday nights) great knowledge about the local area and where to visit. We decided to stay for some dinner and the food was absolutely delicious cooked by Grace who also is the ladyland. Very friendly pub and fabulous dog friendly pub.

The gluten free fish and chips are the best! As a coeliac I've never had an issue as cooked in a separate fryer. So good, 10/10

It was our 10th wedding anniversary and we’re both very busy at work, Being a week night and shattered we wanted to celebrate but be close by to walk to and walk back home. Walked into frimley town and walked in and no prior booking, service was great, mo was our host and lovely, he recommended stuff and went out of his way to recommend stuff after our original waiter had take our order and suggested stuff that was brilliant and given to us free of charge to try and learn. We have now found our new fav curry place and given this area it’s shocking for good places to eat! We were very happy! Had a lovely meal and will be back for my birthday in December! Thank you Mohamed. Food was amazing!!! Staff great and would recommend to everyone x

One of the best English breakfasts around - good quality sausages, eggs how you like them and crispy hash browns, perfect!

Absolutely amazing hidden gem! Have driven past this place so many times without really noticing it, and then tried it with friends and our children on the off chance of a much needed breakfast!

Every dish was perfect from crab cake starters to creme Brûlées. Our family table of six had three different choices of mains, salmon, chicken and venison. Every plate was perfect, with tasty sauces, jus, creamy leeks and lemon butter sauce with the fish. We all had desserts and wine too. This is how restaurants should be, great service, no rush and absolutely stunning food.

On my way home from a business meeting, I found this little gem originally on Gogle Maps. Photos looked good and rating was inviting. Parking is poor but it looks like we can park on the side of the road, which I did. I got the salads with halloumi, and I enjoyed everything on my plate. Ordered some cakes to take back home which lasted a couple of days in the fridge and were scrumptious!

A Lovely shop, with delicious bread, cakes, biscuits and lots more. Sold sandwiches for takeaway.

Friendliest pub I've been to in years. We had curry and soup and both were well- presented, very tasty and generous. The ale was excellent too.

Excellent covid arrangements. Chocolate torte wow. Apple cake wow. Milkshake perfect. Strawberry of course.
