Came in due to seeing lots of positive reviews on trip advisor. It was quiet but the food came out really slow. Waited a long time. The breakfast was ok. Disappointed with my overcooked and therefore it unrunny egg. Only offer brown bread which I don't like. Bacon was nice. It was missing some kind of potato type element, for example a hash brown or fried new potatoes. The young lad serving us was great working really hard around the tables as people came in after us. No check back though on the food which I think is important to do. Overall it was ok. Nothing great but ok. At nearly 10£ a breakfast the price point was high compared to what you get

Ok, so the tuna and cheese sandwich was ok… and the scones and cream / jam were lovely. But, if you like your coffee… this might not be the place for you. My Oatmilk latte was less than adequate and my wife’s soya latte (round one) was at best described as lumpy. After we sent that back and the second one came, initially we were comforted that there were no lumps but, neither was there any distinguishable look or taste of coffee. £24 for one awful, one barely adequate coffee and a toasted tuna/cheese on brown with two, Scones, Jam and Cream felt a little too high for me. Won’t be going back. The subsequent coffee up the road at Heaphys blew this out of the park; looked and tasted superb. Sorry Abbey Tea Rooms - must do better.

We called into the Abbey Tea Rooms for a quick drink and a snack as we only had limited time. The staff were very helpful. The coffee was served nice and hot with hot milk on the side as requested. We only had time for a toasted tea cake but again this was served very nicely. They did have a good selection of cakes and the scones, jam and cream that we saw being served looked very good as did other food, so we shall be going back to try these soon.

I cannot recommend this wonderful find, enough; there was nothing I'd change. Everything was 10/10: • food - made as you wait; fresh, local produce; no change seen as an inconvenient • service - friendly; informative and cheerful I would go back in a heartbeat & am already looking forward to working my way through the Specials!

Traditional English tea room, a little over decorated and nice if you like red and pink. There is parking directly opposite. It is dog friendly. It is quite large inside, but the tables are quite tightly packed. It is clean and nicely presented however. I would say it is not disabled friendly due to this, the toilet being unisex and the size of a fridge freezer. The staff were excellent and could not have done more to make our visit enjoyable. Nothing was too much of an ask. There appears to be no set service charge, they do deserve a tip though. This is another establishment were we could not fault the food, while we only had sandwiches, they were really well filled, fresh and well presented. The cakes and deserts we had were equally as good. Vegan, vegetarian and allergy options are also available. Superb coffee. As for value for money, I think you would find it hard to beat, around £75 for lunch for four, not including a service charge. We had booked, it may be worth while doing this as it was busy, especially if you are a party of four or more. We will be in Glastonbury in April next year and will definitely visit again.

Went for breakfast at this Lovely little tearoom. We cannot fault the staff, they were attentive and generally pleasant. BUT the full English breakfast left us feeling rather nauseous. Anaemic bacon, undercooked eggs,a side of raw tomato and slimy mushrooms. The sausage tasted like a cheap and not so cheerful addition. I stress that the servng staff were lovely, this is directed at the quality of cooking not them.

We met up here with family who were staying in the area. I cannot praise the service and food highly enough. I had phoned ahead as I have an unusual food sensitivity, the owner was so helpful and when we arrived she had alerted the staff and they knew all about it. This is not a normal occurrence so it was such a treat. All the food is properly home cooked from local ingredients, accordingly you might have to wait a while but it’s absolutely worth it. The staff were absolutely lovely with our little great nephew. Booking a table is highly recommended the restaurant was full in no time. As we are fairly local we will definitely be back. Lovely little tearoom in the centre of Glastonbury. We had walked in from our campsite and it was about to rain (again!) so we popped in for tea for two. Visited today and was shocked at the service for coffee and snack.I ordered a smoked salmon sandwich and coffees to be told the only bread they had was almond bread so declined the order the drinks arrived after a long wait to find that the (large) coffee cups were only 3/4 full .I complained about the bread (they didn't seem to realise what a nut allergy is and what could happen) considering that directly opposite there is a bakery full of local baked bread pretty shameful really. When we lived locally we used the tearoom often, I did ask if the place had changed owners but was told no.The outcome is we will now give this place a wide berth and will not return.such a shame as this was a good place for coffee and food.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, with good service in a pleasant setting. The menu offers a very good choice of food.

Visited the tearoom twice first to have tea and cheese scones with pickle then back the next day for a Knickerbocker glory and ice cream sundae. Traditional tearoom serving home cooked produce all very well run with good covid practices

Popped in here on a trip to Glastonbury. Very nice tearoom and very nice, friendly staff but we found the quality of food a little lacking. The scones were quite small and plain only (no fruit scones). The carrot, lentil & coconut soup is best avoided. Tasteless and distinctly absent of any lentil. Still, it was a nice place to duck in and get out of the rain.

Excellent ice creams, great variety and flavour. I visited with my dogs on a really hot day in July. Perfect way to cool down. Also a special mention to the pet shop Wiggle and Wag which shares a site with the gelato shop. Both great.

We don’t really know Dorking but came for a comedy gig and wanted food and drink before the show. We booked a table online and then were a bit confused when we walked in as it’s looks like a work space but then has a bar and says it served food. The staff explained they had a limited menu currently. As we were there and we’d booked we thought we’d give it a go. We ordered halloumi fries to start and then various burgers - whilst initially worried this was just going to be a zap in the microwave job; how wrong we were. The food was so good. The food was restaurant quality!! The staff (particularly the gent I assume was the manager) were so friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely go again; and look forward to when they have their full menu.

We went for an extended family Boxing Day lunch. We were staying from out of area. From the bar staff to the kitchen staff, they couldn’t have made our time with them any better. We were made to feel exceptionally welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The food was not only great quality, huge portions but incredible value! We can’t recommend this little gem enough! Thank you so much!

Visited Glastonbury whilst on a weeks break in Crewkerne. Popped into to this lovely cafe as it was dog friendly. Forgetting my glasses I asked if they catered for gluten free, they did (it stated it on the menu). As I ordered the lady behind the counter asked if I was coeliac, I told her I was. When the food was brought to the table, the lady explained that she had cleaned the kitchen and prepared my food using all new unopened ingredients. All I had was a corned beef and onion sandwich, but the attention to detail was second to none. Really recommend this place to coeliacs and non coeliacs.

The Sunrise Cafe may look like an ordinary cafe on the outside but inside the food is something special! Choose something from The Thai menu if you like Thai food and you will experience some of the best authentic Thai cooking outside Thailand! We stopped here for lunch after driving around the Malvern Hills all morning thinking it was just a normal cafe but discovered that it also had a Thai Menu cooked by a delightful Thai lady Chef called "Jim". I am not sure how she came by that name but she was definitely a woman! We chose Tom Yum chicken soup and checked that would not be too spicy hot first. It was perfect and also contained Mushroom, Sping Onion and Tomato. Incredibly tasty with a mild warmth aftertaste. We followed this with a Chicken Massaman Curry which included a Jasmine sticky rice. The curry was the best we have tasted. It looked so appetising with it's rich golden colour. The friendly Hungarian waitress also supplied us with water and afterwards my wife Angie had a hot chocolate and I had a White Cofffee. A fantastic meal and drinks for just under £20 a head. If you are touring the Malverns this is worth taking a detour for! It is open from about 8:30 am to 4pm this time of the year and has a garden available at the back for outdoor seating in the summer months. The Cafe also serves a range of cooked breakfasts and lunches or hot sandwiches, some deserts, milkshakes, hot and cold drinks.
