Been using this place for years but lately the food quality has gone down while the prices go up. Overcooked fries, tiny pieces of chicken, I felt really sick after. Would if been ok if I was a rabbit as there was plenty of salad. Won't be going again sadly

Such a welcoming visit into a proper pub. Locals, workers finishing after a shift and tourists like us staying at Forest Holidays. The footpath network is extensive and worth printing a map and not just relying on your phone but this is linked to Forest Holidays by a reasonably well lit footpath and has two local stores that don’t show up on Google maps on the way. We picked this pub based on reviews and the footpath as we have two kids and a dog. Staff were really welcoming and helpful, kid friendly and definitely dog friendly. As a result of the good food, good service and choice of seating options we opted for a return visit instead of trying the Dog and Muffler or the New Inn. If we make it out another night to one of those I will write a review accordingly.

Stayed here last weekend with friends for a weekend of walking, running and rugby. Rooms were spotlessly clean and the food was excellent. We were well look after by the lovely family owners and really enjoyed the community feel of the pub. Great location with superb walks all around. Look forward to coming back.

This should have been a 5 Star Review, but on our last night the hotel had an Open Mic Jazz Night which was pretty loud. That might have reduced it to 4 Stars overall. However I went downstairs to close the through-door from the stairwell/Reception area to the kitchen which was funneling the noise up to the rooms. Unfortunately the door was jammed OPEN and I couldn't move it - and it had a plate on it saying Fire Door Keep Shut. I can't give zero Stars so I'm afraid it gets a no-brainer 1 Star.

Visited for a family meal before Christmas. Ordered the Christmas menu in advance. Could not fault the food quality, or the service. We have booked again for another get together in March.

5 of us staying 2 miles away, walking the Offa's Dyke path. Ate here the first evening and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. We came back, mainly for drinks, the next couple of nights and were treated like locals. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Let us book a table for the rugby and the live music even though we were just drinking. Real Ale was good, understandably just two options at this time of year. A fantastic boozer all round and worth a 2 mile walk home!

Just called in with my 3 year old for a quick tea as running late! Ordered 2 sausage, chips gravey however no gravey so had to get curry. Took so long about 15 mins to make, my little boy was falling asleep they could see, I had to ask a couple of times how long as it seemed they was just serving everyone bar us. Finally got with food and no gravey, no curry, we had a ok sauce i think something sweet and sickly. I phoned back the young guy tried to help who's on the till and phone but got told I had to return to the shop to collect my curry! I explained i had just been in with a very sleepy 3 year old and couldn't bring him back out in the car etc and food would of been cold, however they would not bring it to me or offer any other solution (literally round the corner) can't believe he wanted me just to drive back out. So stuck with disgusting dry sausage and chips i wish I hadn't bothered, just so rude when I had just been sat there for ages waiting. I will not be going here ever again! more so for the disgusting service so rude!

Nothing amazing but convenient as Ledbury has no Chinese take aways.

Never again and probably the worst fish n chips I have ever had. The batter was greasy and dark brown and fish was dry like it a had been refried and the chips were the same. I didn't take a photo before I threw most in the bin, but the pic Camper52568780966 has posted in their review is spot on. Shame really, I had high hopes as its award winning.
