Such a great place that caters for my dietary requirements. This is the only place that caters for Gluten free! It also taste amazing. The only gluten free chip shop in the Forest of Dean or even in Gloucestershire that I have yet to come across. Lovely owner who is so friendly and makes you feel at ease. Waits times are short, quality of food is high and customer service is brilliant. Price is cheap and easy to find

Driven past this gem tonnes of times. Were greeted by Zoe, who was the perfecr host: warm, friendly, knowledge and inviting. My husband was instantly excited by the extensive breakfast menu, but we were too late for that (definately another time). Enjoyed the atmosphere, comfy seats and natural stone walls. My curry was delicious! I felt excited from the first taste! I knew it was goooood! My husband's beef strognoff pie was devoured. Everything: rice, vegetables, pie and curry, were all cooked perfectly. Really very happy with our experience and will DEFINATELY be going back to try more of the menu👍

I ordered the Tandoori garlic chili chicken, which was delicious. Spicy though, be warned :p On the phone we mentioned we’d like a certain dish to be prepared vegan. Which in turn was executed well bij the restaurant. I’d recommend this place, definitely will be trying out more from their menu.

Lovely welcoming pub with good value, tasty food and very well kept beer! My wife especially liked the homemade Bakewell tart. We stopped in room number two, which is wonderfully quirky. A very comfortable bed led to a very good night's sleep! Joy and Godfrey are superb hosts. All in all a great start to our Wedding anniversary celebrations! Would thoroughly recommend for a short break away!

Stayed in Alvington while seeing Tom Jones in Chepstow. Lovely little pub. Classic proper pub. Vintage decor, nice and cosy. Pool table and darts board. Staff were really nice. The little restaurant is on the other side of the building so it doesn’t feel like a gastro pub. Had food there as well a couple of times. Jackson the waiter was nice and polite. Only a young lad. Hope it doesn’t change. Need more classic pubs like this. Really nice place.

Great local pub, friendly, good value for money. Welcomes tourists, children, dogs, also. Do a very cheap Sunday roast also.

Visted here while away with family. We were so impressed with the food we went back 2 more nights. We had different food every night. It was really delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were really impressed with everything here. It was local to where we stayed. Even my daughter aged 10 whos a fussy eater really enjoyed the food too. We are definitely going back when we visit again next year.
