Super friendly staff, obviously know their local customers and took time to talk to everyone. We dropped them a text via the website to check they were dog friendly, yes they are, and a response within 5 mins (just time to finish a pint at The dog house micro pub 2min walk away) Food was all cooked fresh and choice was great, with some fantastic Turkish dishes alongside more traditional English food. 2 very filling lunches, 2 hot drinks and a pudding for £32 - great value and well worth a visit.

We stopped in here on a whim on our way to Symonds Yat! We are travelling on our honeymoon and do not know the area. We were made very welcome and quickly given menus. The menu choice is huge! Very impressive as there was something for us both who wanted very different things. The food and drinks arrived quickly but cooked to a high standard. We could not fault it. Staff friendly, food lovely!

Called in to Kaplans yesterday as a break in my motorcycle ride through the Forest of Dean. This is a regular stop if in the area for a lovely Spanish omelette and chips, garnished with a side salad and coleslaw. Excellent food as usual !

Very disappointing 😞 always looks busy but the food was very disappointing and the place very uncared for. Very out dated.

Welcoming place. Staff lovely. Covid arrangements excellent. Accessible toilet. Ground floor no steps. Mushrooms in creamy white garlic sauce excellent. Jacket potato superb. Just a lovely place.

Stopped here for a cooked Breakfast. It was very tasty, great value and the service was friendly. The cafe is also very clean.

Great meal and plenty of it (I had the Full breakfast) and very reasonably priced. The staff very welcoming and adhere fully to Covid 19 rules . Will definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area of Lydney in the Forest of Dean.

This is a lovely little restaurant, clean and tidy which we visited whilst on holiday in Forest of Dean food was very nice, portion sizes good and lots to choose from on the menu, recommend if you are in the area.

Visited while away in coleford on a weekend break, basic full english breakfast, good prices aswell.

A must visit for all people beauful food very helpful staff so clean and nice and tidy breakfast I go in there most days

Usually a good standard , but 1 of the two meals was not good, fish dry and hard to cut, left on plate and on collection of dishes pointed out and told chef would be told, Very apologetic but when paying bill full price charged, as boss wasn’t around, would have accepted a part cost as chips and peas were ok. Shame usually a good standard on previous visits.

Cheap Cheap Ingredients! Called in for breakfast, not been before and unlikely to call again. Service was quick, but breakfast not nice, poor quality ingredients made it hard to enjoy, coffee not great either! Only bonus was the fact it was half price, as it was during government scheme

In a bit of a hurry so probably didn't do this place justice. Food came quickly and was well cooked. Excellent chips. Beware of the toasties, very hot. I would have liked a bit more time and will return to try the Turkish dishes.

Went for drinks before going to Coleford cinema. Had lattes which were purely disgusting and undrinkable so we left them on the table. Around 4 men behind the counter bossing the young waitresses around. Were planning on having food but could see others eating and it was all frozen/microwaved. If this cafe was in larger towns it wouldn’t last two minutes. Will never return!

We were in Coleford for the weekend and this became our local. Food was good, cooked fresh and delicious. Fab coffee and tea. Attentive staff nice atmosphere.
