We have just come back from a meal and it was amazing it was all cooked from fresh and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and I would highly recommend them to anyone

This place was an amazing place for a quiet relaxing Indian, where nothing was too much trouble. The food was perfect usually I can eat a whole meal but the portions here were large and delicious and they let us all have takeaway tubs. We were a bit of a pain but the server didn't complain or moan he was very polite and understanding. I would definitely recommend cinnamons to anyone.

Really excellent ordered a takeaway to be delivered, food was excellent really tasty and rapid delivery a real discovery.

Met up for a family get together and the food hear was stunning! Speedy polite service and the presentation was butiful and the tastes were the best I have had from a curry. The only downside was the poppadoms were a little oily but I would reccomendation this place and we will defo go again.

Wonderful food and service. Couldn’t fault anything, Staff very talkative and informative… excellent evening. We dined alone but it was a Monday and the end of summer holidays for some. Had a great chat with the waiter, who I suspect was the owner, lovely chap.

Ordered a takeaway on the website and collected. Amazing food and Service. Not somewhere I’d have thought about popping in to eat, it’s only got a small dining area, however the food was absolutely amazing and I’d definitely go again if we’re in the area.

Fantastic curry, best we've had in a long while. Very flavoursome, quick delivery and polite staff. Highly recommend the Akbori Shahira. The cheese and garlic naan, however, was the only let down as cheese was sparse. It's great to have an option of chicken nuggets and chips for our increasingly fussy kids.

Decor rather grim. Doesn’t strike me as very authentic Indian. Food was acceptable but rather mediocre. Presentation nothing special. I wouldn’t have liked to see the kitchens ! Average food average prices. Teenage girl waitress was ok .. I wouldn’t go back. Coleford is rubbish for food.

Ordered food online at 10:45pm (45 minutes before closing). received the confirmation email and everything and then never received my food. i tried calling twice and there was no answer, waited until 12:00am until giving up and going to bed.

We where recommended by reception at Forrest holidays to give this place a try and I have to say I’m happy we did. I ordered a takeaway and went to pick it up . I only had to wait a few minutes once I got there an it came out boxed up a piping hot. We a a fairly wide selection of curry and they were all great ( one of the dishes though the lamb was slightly tough but to to the point it was a issue) so very happy and at a fair price in todays market. We would use again.

As a vegetarian i was unsure which side i would like the most so i ordered most of them and every one that contained potato's literally had hard barely cooked potato's in which i would not even serve to myself, so i mainly ended up eating rice and a tiny bit of sauce that was around the potato's i think 2/3 sides came with potato's, i did have other sides like the mushroom MUSHROOM BHAJEE which was ok, but yeah if you cant cook potato's properly i cant return they are basic to cook.

Visited for a takeaway, told to go and get cash from a cash point to pay, would not take card payment. My meal (chicken methi) was actually ok, nicely spiced and tasty. However - my wife and daughter had a main course saag paneer which they both left after 1 mouthful, way way to sweet and no cheese at all, not even a single piece! Not sure what happened here, but we will not be returning.

Really tasty takeaway. nice flavours, however it was spoiled by Lamb in the Kattamitta Lamb being almost inedible, as it was impossible to chew.Out of the 8 pieces of Lamb in the curry, only 3 were edible.

Ordered before 5.30pm and delivery arrived piping hot within 30 mins with a friendly driver. Food was delicious and plentiful. Perfect.

Have had a takeaway a couple of times now and not disappointed. The meal portions are generous and very tasty. I am usually boring and have korma, which can vary greatly in quality between Indians and is excellent. My partner is more adventurous, with choices and has loved every dish. The only downside like most takeaways we use around here is that cash is required upfront. Well done.

We had to sit at 6.30 as there was going to be a large group coming in later. However we left around 8.00 and still nobody else had come in. The popodoms we had, tasted like they were what was left from the previous day. We also realised once we had started to drink the wine we had been given that it was the wrong bottle. Fortunately the main meal was okay and was the only positive of the whole meal.

We have been using this takeaway for a number of years, up Until now we have enjoyed every meal and had no issues. Recently they have let theirselves down. I ordered a takeaway for myself last weekend and the food was cold when it arrived, it had travelled no further than a mile up the road. When I rang I was greeted by rudeness and told that it couldn’t be cold as it hadn’t long left the shop. I could only guess it had been sat around for a while before delivery. I put this down to a one off issue This evening we ordered another takeaway and requested a delivery time on their website, only for the food to arrive an hour early. This wouldn’t normally be an issue, but we had people coming just after the time we requested so we then had the task of keeping their food warm. I understand we all have our off days but twice in a row isn’t good. We will give them another chance. But three strikes and you’re out I’m afraid cinnamons

We stayed at Forest lodge holidays, Forest of Dean and decided on a takeaway (delivery) to our lodge . After quite a bit of searching we chose Cinnamons. Without doubt this was the best food we have eaten. Everthing we ordered was very good, would highley recommend ordering from here if your in the area. Many thanks.

Never tries this place before, but wanted somewhere that delivered so gave it a try, don't think we will be using any other Indian take away anytime soon. Food delivered quickly, hot, and very very tasty. They are also happy to add things such as extra sauces that are not on the menu, great service, great food and great value. Highly recommend the Cinnamon

We are currently staying at Forest Holidays. We ordered a delivery, which arrived to the cabin door within 45 minutes. The food arrived all piping hot! Everything tasted delicious, and the best keema naan I’ve had! It’s a shame we’re not local!

Had a delivery from Cinnamons to the Forest Holidays site during a recent stay. Food was delivered quickly and everything was really hot and tasty. Am visiting again in a few weeks so will definitely be ordering from Cinnamons.

Absolutely lovely Indian meal here when visiting for the weekend from South Wales. Very tasty food. Would return again should we be in the area. Very cosy and quaint environment.

I order a meal at six thirty and was told it would be a little over an hour. It finally arrived, after I had asked where it was at eight fifty. I was overcharged, part of the order was missing, the Paratha was burnt and stone cold, the meat a little undercooked.I won't be using them again.

First reviewed Cinnamons back in 2015 and it's a while since we visited. Pleased to report it's as good as ever. Friendly service, bright décor and really tasty food. Keep forgetting that in the Forest of Dean they have very hearty appetites, so don't overorder unless you're in training for the rugby season!Don't usually drink wine with Indian food, but this time I ordered a glass of house white - very drinkable, not too sharp and a very generous glassful for less than £3. Himself had a cider, as always.A previous reviewer said they'd like some Indian music - well we had a really nice piano background, in fact my husband at first thought there was someone playing in the back room, the sound system was so good ( cider does that to some people!).Not many customers at the tables (it was a Tuesday) but the takeaway orders kept coming.Service, as always, was charming.

We ate here recently as we were staying in a local campsite.The restaurant itself was ok, not much atmosphere as it was fairly quiet when we first arrived. Needed a little Asian music playing,The prices were very reasonable.My husband ordered a chicken tikka saag Baltic Madras hot. It wasn’t madras hot, it wasn’t spicy at all, but I tried it and it tasted very good to me (I don’t like spicy food)The kids had chicken korma and finished every last bit of it! I had the chicken tikka masala, which was also very good (I have tried a number of these in many different places and this was a very good one)Overall we got a very tasty meal for a very reasonable price. We probably won’t be in the area again, but I would eat here again if we were.

Do not be put off by the appearance on the outside. It looks tired but inside is bright and interesting with music of an appropriate volume level. The service is wonderful and we loved the curries.

Staff are always very happy and helpful-we visit fairly regularly and always enjoy eating in and take out.

We are currently staying in the forest holidays lodges and have just finished a curry delivered by cinnamons. They delivered straight to our cabin in less than 40 mins. Food was hot and the flavour was phenomenal. Every dish was perfect, no faults whatsoever. This is the third time we have ordered from cinnamons when we stay in the forest and surely won't be our last!!! 5 stars!!!

Our family were attending a wedding nearby, and had rented a house nearby.

Two of us went there for a quick meal. The menu had a great variety of food. I was disappointed that the starter didn't have enough chilli in it. I described how hot I wanted the mains and they were perfect. The service was excellent. Very good prices.

Used Cinnamons several times and food is always very good. However, for the second time, tonight we got home with our veggie curries to discover that a dish contained meat. Bit concerned as it’s not the first time it’s happened, and whilst dishes are replaced, it’s taken a second trip, cooled food, and put a dampener on the food

the guys are always very friendly and welcoming, me and the kids love going to see "Mr Moon" and Adi. We love the food, ive been eating this style of food for over 30 years and this is competitively priced and of good quality.

We were visiting Coleford with no plans on where to eat and was recommended cinnamons and we were very impressed!

We decided to collect our takeaway, family celebration costing over £50, on collection we were told the 10% discount did not count as we elected for the set meal for 4 as part of our order and this was already discounted!!! This is not clear on the menu we had as far as we can see and was very disappointing as felt a bit conned. The food is nice, just take care, we will not be ordering from them again which is a shame as would of had home delivery if we had known no discount would be given.

Saturday 18th- looking forward to our first takeway from here as we had had a nice meal in the restaurant a couple of weeks before. We were told 45 mins, and we arrived promptly.Took payment. Huge delay. After another half hour wait we were told they had run out of potatoes Seeing as our order included 2 main vegetable dishes ( normally containing lots of potato) an aloo chat, and a bombay potato that was pretty bad and if we had known this we could have gone elsewhere. We agreed to sub the aloo for mushroom bahji but the aloo chat had been replaced by an onion baji without asking. After a further wait, we eventually got home to find the veg dishes without potato, a sag paneer without paneer, and 2 tarka dahls which looked and tasted like dishwater and with a 2 inch layer of pink grease in the top and was inedible. They were very apologetic but it was a complete disaster from beginning to end. To top it all my partner had a terrible stomach ache the next day. We will not return.

Went here for dinner last night, had some fantastic indian food! Portions were big so we were full up by the end of our meal which was fantastic. Prices were lowish (in my opinion at least - certainly a lot cheaper than London) but quality was great. The only negative was that the drinks were quite flat, and didn’t seem fresh even though they hadn’t gone off. Other than that great!

Great food , reasonable prices , great service only waited a short time for our order. Food was delicious, large pieces of meat , and the vegetarian options also tasty .

Had some poppadoms and shared a main, 2 sides, naan and rice between two. Really good food and quite full! Decent vegetarian options too.

This is our favourite take away. Always helpful and friendly, and their delivery service is efficient. Highly recommend the hot and spicy chicken rezalah, a real favourite for my husband. I'm gluten intolerant but I can always find lots of dishes which are suitable.

Was staying in Forest lodges local to this restaurant. Ordered a take away over the phone and was told 45 mins. Food actually turned up after 43 mins so excellent service. Food very good so can highly recommend this establishment especially if your staying in the forest lodges as they delivery to the cabin door.

I've lost count on how many times I've stayed in Coleford over the last couple of years and I've always have to have atleast one meal a week at cinnamons. It's a traditional old fashioned indian restaurant that serves freshly cooked, quality food. The staff are always friendly, helpful and attentive which adds to the experience. Don't get me wrong it's not 5 star but for it's values and quality it's certainly always recommend and on my menu!

We were on holiday visiting and decided to order a takeaway. Cinnamons came recommended, however we placed the order over the phone to prevent waiting a long time at the restaurant. The guy called us back to confirm the order and I went to pick it up as they had said 40 mins. We waited 20 mins in there to get the food and we got home, none of the tubs had the lids on correctly and the food leaked out. We got home to find that one of the dishes was missing. I was very disappointed as I was left with no dinner, however we were still charged for this...

Ocasionalmente me pide una comida entrega de Cinnamons y en cada ocasión el precio pedido entrega tiene menú diferían de las de precio anunciado. En la última ocasión, y al realizar el pedido, le pregunté cuál sería el precio. Tras la entrega, me registré a este que nuevamente me habían cobrado un menú de fecha. En consulta con el restaurante me pareció ser la actitud evasiva y difícil. Este fue decepcionante ya que no praticulary no pide que se devuelva la diferencia y sólo quería discutir esto y nuestros errores. Por consiguiente, ahora siento que cobren puede ser práctica común y por lo tanto no volveremos a canela.

Estábamos en la zona y buscando un lugar donde comer, me buscó restaurantes locales y éste fue clasificado altamente, así que nos fuimos a cenar. La comida era deliciosa y a un precio razonable, incluso más ya que aceptan Tastecard We eran la única gente comiendo en el restaurante, así que no había mucho ambiente, pero fue una semana y tenían suficientes clientes para llevar.

love this place, whether it is sit in or takeaway the food is faultless, and filling, if you want a lovely sit in meal with out the hussle and bussle like some places then this is definately worth a trip

Después de leer la crítica anterior del Centro de vacaciones nos dio este bosque lugar ir. Un poco como el resto de Coleford, un poco estrafalario! Sin embargo, personal amable, servicio rápido y un ventilador de curry, sólido buena comida a un precio barato. Si vamos a la comida de vacaciones de nuevo, sin duda alguna!

I am a vegetable jalfrezi lover and am always on the hunt for a good one - I'm still searching as there isn't one in Coleford. Their jalfrezi wasn't as bad as The Balti Hut but it was still a massive, tasteless, oily, disappointment with a real dearth of vegetables!

Visited on a Saturday evening g as a party of 4, service was good, staff pleasant and food was tasty but a little salty for my palette, had to ask for 1 of the curry dishes to be real related as it was not very hot, apart from that it was a pleasant meal.

Great curry! fantastic naan bread. Came to the town on business and we were recommended this restaurant by the owners of the hotel we were staying at and it did not disappoint

Staying at Forest Lodges, we ordered at 8.30pm and was promised a 45 minute delivery to the actual lodge..which arrived at 9.15pm: no problem with that! At £82.00 for 8 people based on a main course each, 3 rices, 4 nans, a couple of sides & poppadoms, the value was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their choice of main course: recommended!

Fantastic food and despite other reviews to the contrary I found the staff (one member front of house on a Wednesday night) very friendly and helpful and the service to be of a high standard. Very nice dishes, nicely presented and good value for money, looking forward to eating here again next time I'm in the Forest of Dean.

The food is nice but once again we have been waiting a mamouth length of time for a delivery of their food. It's almost 3 hours now after promises of the food a couple of times. What a let down. Just say no ...... Really unfair.

Very slow service although very busy with takeaway orders which took priority. Waited 1/2 hour for poppadoms to arrive then another hour for our curries. No apologies at any time. Not bothered that some customers had been waiting for nearly an hour to give their orders. Food ok but nothing special. Staff ignorant and rude

I travel a lot with the job that I do and I've tried 100s of Indian restaurants around the country in different cities, towns, villages.I have to say this place served a meal exactly how I'd asked for it and how I like it. The menu selection isn't huge but it's got all the usuals on there. I normally have a Keema pilau rice but wasn't available but the mushroom rice was a good substitute.We are around 8pm on a Tuesday evening and it was empty so service was fine.We were staying at Forest Holidays 5 mins away so ideally located.

Used the takeaway service many times but really enjoyed the service at the restaurant.Very attentive and they couldn't do enough to make our visit memorable.The food was very good and we couldn't fault it.In short,we will be returning.

We went early on a Sunday evening and from the off, they didn't seem prepared for customers. The service was very slow and poor with us having to wait a long time for side orders. The food is OK but the chicken was very salty and the mushroom rice had tinned mushrooms in it. The prices are very reasonable but poor service and average food. 4/10

We are staying at the Forest resort and took a wander down to Coleford for a nose and found Cinnamon. We took a menu home, ordered that evening and was not disappointed. Great food and portion size. I had Garlic chicken Balti and my wife Chicken Passanda. The Mushroom rice is by far the best I've had (and I've had quite a few). Well worth either visiting there or getting a takeaway.

Normally visit after a long trip back from somewhere and are getting back too late to cook. I go along, order and then have a cobra whist waiting. The staff are vey friendly, as is the chef. The food is always excellent, especially their specials.

Us tired four hungry cyclists had the set meal for four as we didn't want to think too hard about what to eat. We were not disappointed and were quickly tucking into our starters and a range of chicken, lamb and veg curries with Bombay potatoes and nan breads as good as they come - light and really fresh. Plenty of food for all, good efficient service, will be back to try others dishes next time we are in the area. Thank you Cinnamons!

A quiet Indian Restaurant in the centre of Coleford. Plenty of choice on the menu, the food was well presented and very good.

Had a takeaway on wkend for 3 food was nice but portions small compared to other local Indian takeaways

We chose this restaurant as it had very good reviews and we where not disappointed, We sat down at 6pm, very polite, clean and welcomingWe had a couple of the chefs specials, peshwari chicken and shahi arborist chicken with sag aloo, special rice and garlic naanGreat flavours, not too hot, good portions and really tender chicken, special mention for the naan as really light and fluffy and the cost very reasonable Next time we are here we will return for sure.

Its now become tradition for us to go for an Indian on Christmas eve. The food here is lovely and the service is spot on. Very reasonably priced and efficient and swift at serving. Cant fault it!

Husband, 22 year old son and I were staying at the Angel last week and while son and all the "Young Guns" went into Gloucester on the Wednesday, hubby and I decided to give Cinnamons a try. Our host was lovely and very attentive and chatty and the restaurant had a nice calm atmosphere. I love dhansak and would normally go for a vegetarian one but decided on the chicken version. It was the best I ever ate! Hot, sweet and sour with a fabulous chilli kick (I am a chilli head!) with a lovely surprise of a whole pineapple ring tucked in there. The garlic nan was recommended by Layla,the landlady of the Angel (We took one back for her) and it didn't disappoint. Instead of the usual rather thick offering resembling the sole of a shoe, this was round, crispy on the edges and soooooo light and garlicky! Hubby had the garlic chilli chicken but asked them to tone down the chilli which they did to perfection. He also requested egg fried rice which isn't on their menu and they duly obliged. this was all washed down with a couple of refreshing bottles of Kingfisher and Cobra. We couldn't finish it all so asked if we could take out the remainder. These were duly boxed up for us.I couldn't return to Guildford without tucking into another fabulous dhansak so we went back to Cinnamons on the Saturday night at about 1930 but this time with son. Hubby and I had the same dishes as before (They were so lush) but this time I had the Peshwari nan which was also lovely but have to say that the garlic one tops the list!Son had the sheek kebab starter (this was lovely and tender and delicately spiced) but requested it with his main course of chicken korma.....and the recommended garlic nan!!. The korma was lovely and rich. Again we couldn't finish it all so the restaurant duly packed up the remainders and they travelled back to Guildford with us....had to keep the fine food memories alive!Lovely restaurant (hubby loved the Xmas window decorations), lovely hospitality, fabulous food and GREAT prices!!! Would definitely recommend. Just a shame we never went there on our previous visits to Coleford.Incidentaly a couple were sat near us on the Saturday night and seemed to have an appetising looking selection of dishes....all vegetarian I think.

We stayed at forest holidays and was advised by the retreat staff to order our takeaway to our cabin., we ordered and they delivered it there on time and it was lovely. Really tasty food and very well priced!!! Will be defo ordering from here again next time I'm staying in coleford

Yes we walked all over the centre of Coleford looking for somewhere to eat on a Sunday and be warned Coleford is shut.Luckily we stumbled upon this little restaurant and we were so please we did. Exhalant food great service and incredible value for money

We were recommended this restaurant by one of the "locals" in the hotel, as we tend to have an Indian meal on the first night of any holiday break...it`s become a bit of a cult thing really !I say a surprisingly good meal because on walking in you`ll find the choice of décor is strange to say the least, and not at all impressive, but don`t let that put you off because the food was excellent...in fact we said that the onion bhajis we had for starters were equally the best we`ve had anywhere, and the main course dishes were all very flavoursome, with rich sauces.The cleanliness of the restaurant is good, as was the service, and the meal was exceptional value.Would definitely return...if not just for the onion bhajis !

We live locally so go to Cinnamons often. There are three Indian restaurants or take aways in Coleford and they are all pretty good but I haven't been anywhere else since Cinnamons opened. The staff are fantastic, very friendly and helpful. They often throw in free poppodoms on a takeway. Service in the restaurant is courteous and attentive.The menu is very varied. There is something for everyone. The women in my family like the sweeter dishes (but don't find them too sweet as some reviews have stated) but I like the hotter ones of which there is a good choice. Prices are good. They start at just over a fiver for a main but you can order a more speciality dish and pay a few quid more. Portions are very good.After having had many meals at Cinnamons I think I have had maybe two which were a little lacking in oomph! Like the regular chef had a night off as one earlier review said. Both those meals were at least two years ago though and the food now seems to be of a consistantly high standard. I honestly don't think you'll get a better curry on this side of the FOD, maybe even the whole Forest, but definitely not in Coleford.Try it. I don't think you'll regret it!!

This is not what I'd call a typical Indian restaurant since there is no moticeable generic curry sauce taste to the meals, which over several visits have shown quite a lot of variety from dish to dish. This means that you need to pay more attention to the menu descriptions that you might expect to. I have never had a poor meal here and many friends with whom I've eaten there have been impressed. The staff are friendly and the dishes are large enough to satisfy. If you're a lover of Indian food I am happy to recommend a visit.

We quite often go to Coleford (about half-an-hour's drive) to take in a film at the Studio, one of the two great, independent, local cinemas in the Forest of Dean, and it's now become a habit to have a meal at Cinnamons before or after the show.It's not hard to work out why, the service is always friendly and efficient and the food is great - try one of the chef's specials for something well,special. We even came with two friends who "don't really like Indian food", and guess what - now they do.A lot of locals come in for takeaways, but I like to sit down and take my time over the meal - plus someone else is doing the washing up!Great value for money - be warned, portions are very generous.

Visited on New Years Day evening whilst staying at the Angel Inn. Really friendly and helpful staff, great food and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and revisit - and if you like really hot, the chicken raj vala is fabulous! :-)

Visited last night new years eve, they were very busy but managed to get a table. We did go to another indian restraurant in Cinderford, they were very busy and under stafeed after waiting 25 mins, handed the menues back to the bar and walked out. We have visited Cinnamon several time before and always had good service and food. We should have went straight there in the first place. Good value for money and service. Wish they did bigger bottle or a draught beer. Very good restaurant.

On last night of our holidays thought we would have a meal at cinnamons.as when we had passed on a previous evening they appeared to be busy.but when our rmain course arrived it was so sweet tasted as though someone had spooned in loads of sugar and not the natural sweetness of coconut (i have a sweet tooth) but this was not edible.i have had this dish many times in many places and it has to be said this is the worst I have tasted . looking at some of the reviews that say food is good can only think we must have gone on the chefs night off but would not take a chance on spoiling an evening out by going again and would not reccomend on our experiance.

I have now visited cinnamons on 3 occasions whilst staying at the Angel hotel. Great food, willing staff who don't mind altering dishes to your liking and taste. Good prices, plenty of food and well worth a try.

We ordered three takeaway dishes and all three were incredibly sweet, as though someone had upended the sugar bowl into them. Even my children, who think Coke is only mildly sugary, couldn't cope and we ended throwing most of the curries away. The peshwari naan was fine.
