Excellent food, incredibly reasonably priced and very helpful staff. Fairly fast service, nice atmosphere. Lovely restaurant, would absolutely come again. The restaurant exterior/decor isn't anything special but don't let it put you off!

Staying in Cinderford on a Sunday night and the Curry Leaf was the only place open for sit in meals. Great meal. Loved the chicken balti, and it was a very reasonable price too. Very friendly and courteous staff. Great find.

Have been coming here for years, mostly for takeaways. Food and service is always excellent! Most recently tried the Chicken Laziz, highly recommend :) A real asset to Cinderford.

Note that they only take cash! Food absolutely delicious, freshly prepared and cannot fault anything, but I would like to thank the gentleman that served us tonight. He was so kind and polite through our whole meal, but when there was an issue with the payment (I didn’t have any cash!) he was so kind. He could tell I was embarrassed by this, but he was so lovely. It’s rare to find such wonderful customer service, so I really hope he sees this to know how grateful I am. Thank you

Absolutely gem of a curry house hidden away in Cinderford. Service was superb from the friendly staff. The starters, curries and nan breads were delicious. Such a shame its so far from home. I will definitely be coming back hopefully. This is proper old school bengali style cookery and is unfortunately a dying art in the UK.

Have eaten here a few times before and NEVER had any problems so am actually sad to report that I found an unmistakable, small black hair in my food this evening which completely put me off an already small portion for the money. And I will not be a returning customer.

Never had a bad meal from here, eating in or takeaway, and I have tried something new every time since I moved into the area a year ago.

It took 2 hours to receive a meal that was less tasty than a 1980's jar of Vesta's curry sauce. No cutlery given so raided the neighbouring table for a fork, had to ask for a spoon and received a serving spoon to eat with. A waste of 2 hours and £30.

Unfortunately after 13 years of enjoying the Curry Leaf I have to give it a bit of a bashing. As usual the service was great, but the food was terrible. It was actually that bad that the meals were not eaten. Not sure what has happened, but I can only assume that the chefs have changed. Sorry Curry Leaf, but you have lost my business and I won't be eating here again. The good old days of good food and a cold beer in this restaurant are long gone 😫.

I'm enjoying my food from the Curry Leaf which I usually have on a Tuesday or Wednesday when they do a special for £12.95 of a starter,main and rice or naan . Very friendly staff is also a nice bonus WELL DONE

Fantastic food great company a very enjoyable experience

Ordered here before and was good food honestly. But today, suddenly I order and they no longer accept card payments plus they didn't honour gourmet night offer, to be clear I had spoken to them on the phone prior to this and they didn't advise they weren't taking card any longer plus the guy actually told me they were honoring their gourmet night deal. Such a shame and very dissapointed and won't come here again out of sheer principle.

Great restaurant, Not licensed. Take your own booze, glasses supplied. Menu was extremely varied and well laid out to assist with choice making. Food took a while to arrive, but when it did... definitely worth the wait. We shall be returning next time we're in the Forest of Dean.

We are currently visiting Wye Valley and on our first evening we went to the local Indian restaurant - Curry Leaf. What an amazing experience!!! The food was so authentic. Very delicious, aromatic and well cooked. The service was excellent. We really enjoyed our dinner and will definetly come back on our next visit! Thank you 🙏

Had a carry out, it was ok but desperately needed salt. We were also somewhat disappointed with the spice level, ordered what we expected to be hot dishes and they were very mild.

We have recently moved to Cinderford and as much as we love it, we love curry leaf more. The food is fantastic and Giash is awesome (we hope we spelt your name correctly) Thank you and we really recommend it.

We had a take away which was excellent. The boss very generously gave us an extra meal on the house. Prices are very reasonable. Our chickens appreciated the rice we had been unable to eat next morning.

I enjoyed a curry every now and again, but I was never my first choice. That has changed since my first visit to the Curry Leaf. I am now a regular and the owners already know us. We usually have a meal once a week. Is to die for! I love the gourmet nights as well, it's a nice touch. The service is impeccable. They are very professional and really friendly.

The food when eventually it arrived was excellent but to wait 1.75 hrs for your mains to arrive was beyond the pale especially as 15 or so takeaways were served while we waited. Excuses were made and apolgies offered but we were hungry and what could have been an enjoyable evening was tarnished by tardyness.

Not been for a very long time, even being very busy the staff and food were spot on. Happily go back

Had a collection tonight and I must say I was highly disappointed, from the quality of the food when you dine in there restaurant I found the food not to there normal standard. Everything was just meh. Come on I know its luck down but that does not affect the standard food is cooked to. Was highly let down and will continue to go to the other curry house in cinderford

Excellent meal. My husband bad chichen pathia and I had a couple of vegetarian dishes. All cooked to perfection. Friendly staff. On holiday for a week will definitely visit again before going home

Top notch curry, I had an exemplary dhansak. Good service AND it’s bring your own booze. It’s cheap too so all in all highly recommended.

First time here & had takeaway. Really REALLY good food. Good size portions & relatively quick. Not very busy due to road closure & we had a nice chat with the staff. We will make this a regular favourite.

Always fantastic. This is the go to place for a good curry. Some of the speciality dishes are great and I have tried most of them (the addition of mint is a boon). The staff are attentive and the friendliest blokes you can imagine. Highly recommended.

Sin embargo, tiene que tomar su propia bebida alcohólica, si tiene prisa, es mejor ir temprano por la noche, ya que se ponen muy ocupados, y como todo se prepara con productos frescos, puede que haya que esperar un poco, pero vale la pena. . Recomendaría este Curry House.

My vegetable curry was bland and tasted only of curry powder. Desert served to us was not what we ordered. Bring your own alcoholic drinks

The friendlyness of the staff and the choice of foods are amazing. Always lots to choose from although it could come out hotter. The piercing shrill of the telephone is a major put off. Never busy to sit down to eat but there's always a steady flow of people having takeaways.

Visited this restaurant on the off chance it was located nearby to where I was staying. Being a man who enjoys his curry I was immediately drawn to this place and thankfully my instincts paid off. I ordered my usual chicken madras which is always my curry of choice. The waiter serving me tried to convince me to try one of the speciality’s however I opted to play it safe however if I’m ever in the area again I may well take him up on that offer. Bill was around £20 with drinks, poppdoms, main and rice and a side of roti.

Our fav curry house in the Forest of Dean. We make a point of drive from Gloucester see film a the picture house then have a super meal, extensive menus. Keep up the good standard. Also they have a liquor licence now so choice of Kingfisher, Singh's, Tiger beer or draught Carlsberg! Only comment in order was I would have preferred the chicken korai to be fresh meat cooked in savoury stew NOT spare bits of tandoori meat chucked in a stock sauce! Has takeaway and Nice food with good service if eating in. Has a small bar so you can get drinks while you wait for your order or use as table service. Table space is limited so prebooking would be a good idea for groups of six plus people. Well worth checking out if you have not been before.
