Coffee and a cheeky pastry or two all served with a smile . Then I get some fresh bread and groceries to keep the boss at home happy . What Pastries !!!

The most delicious ice cream i have ever eaten. Super friendly. If I was only allowed 1 more ice cream for the rest of my life I'm getting one here. The salted caramel one was amazing. 10/10 best ice cream ever.

The Hive is absolutely adorable. Best cafe I've ever been to. We visited for lunch as part of our holiday in The Cotswolds. From start to finish it went beyond our expectations. We were warmly welcomed in by the owner. What a lovely lady!! We had the homemade soup of pea, courgette and lettuce with a homebaked cheese scone. Absolutely delicious!!! Seems strange to have soup in August but it was just what we needed. The cheese scone was divine!! Had a really lovely latte and my husband had tea. The decor was really welcoming and comforting too. All the staff were very attentive and helpful and it was very evident how well it was being managed by the owner. Definitely a must if you want some lunch in Stow on The Wold.

The hotel was just right for us and well located to see the best of the Cotswolds. So well located that only 30mins away via fields is a really nice pub, the Bell. Staff were excellent could not fault anything of our stay. The staff accommodated everything we needed and wanted. The chef and the food were a high point and thoroughly deserves the accolades achieved. Absolutely recommended. Food and drink do not break the bank!

We really enjoyed our two day break at this very charming and well run hotel set in this lovely small town. Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome by Amanda and directed to our room. Located on the top floor the view of the square was most pleasant although the final few steep stairs might be a challenge for some. The room itself was cosy, spotless, had a very nice bathroom (excellent shower) and a very comfortable bed which made for very restful sleep. The only minor criticism (according to my wife) is that there was no seated vanity/dressing table with a mirror although there was a very comfy sofa for relaxing and watching TV should you so wish. We were fortunate enough to have excellent weather meaning we could enjoy the rear private beer garden. I can imagine that with the plentiful seating areas, heaters and greenery it will be very atmospheric of a long summer evening. Charlie was excellent at the bar, was very friendly and looked after us admirably. Likewise Justine was equally as attentive, charming and fun when looking after us at both dinner and breakfast. The evening menu is limited (by design for quality) and we thoroughly enjoyed the Chatheaubriand! Breakfast was excellent too! The modern cocktail bar offers a very pleasant area to enjoy pre dinner drinks and watch passers by in the square. In summary, it is of no surprise that the hotel has such good reviews and it is our pleasure to add to those. The hotel is well run, very pleasant and the staff are not only very friendly but make you feel welcome and wanted. We will be back.
