This place is brilliant. It serves the best Sunday lunch is=n the most pleasant restaurant and bar. The food is as good as home cooking and the staff are excellent. They cater for food intolerances too and that is better than many other hotels and restaurants. There is a lounge too, with log fire going full blast, ideal for a pre lunch drink or for a coffee after the meal. Can't recommend this place enough!

We had a lovely time at this wine bar! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The wine selection was fantastic, offering a great variety to suit all tastes, and the tapas were delicious—perfect for sharing and pairing with a glass (or two!). The only downside was a noticeable damp smell, which was a little off-putting and took away from the otherwise cozy ambiance. That said, the quality of the food, wine, and service more than made up for it, and we still really enjoyed our visit. With a bit of attention to the issue, this place would be absolutely perfect. We’d happily return for the great hospitality and wonderful wine!

Popped into stow, after lunch around 4 ish, had to wait to be seated, even though garden area empty as was the upstairs, eventually after a wait ordered pot of tea for two, and two special coffees, had to wait ages all though they weren't busy, eventually drinks arrived, tea very good, both coffees awful likebroen fish water, my Grandson complained and his was replaced, the waitress told my daughter she had put to much hot milk in hers!! Which was ridiculous and told her when challenged about what coffee do you use, was informed it was top quality, it definitely is not didn't even smell like coffee waitress had bad attitude towards complaint, when we paid she charged my husband for someone's else's, which another waitress had to sort out, honestly, first impressions go a long way we would definitely not return to this tea room in future for food or drinks!!

The coffee shop we intended to go to was packed, so we went next door to Davenford instead as it wasn’t very busy at all. We ordered coffee and pastries and sat down inside with the dog (sign at the front saying dogs allowed but on lead). While we were waiting, a waiter came to give us a menu, not realising we’d already ordered, so walked away. Next thing, another staff member came and said dogs were only allowed at the front part of the store. No one mentioned this before! So we had to pack up our things and head to tables outside because the minimal tables were taken inside. After waiting a while, finally got our drinks but no food, he said it was coming. How hard is it to put two pastries from the shelf into plates?!! They never came so I went in to cancel the pastries and ask for a refund, because we’d finished our drinks so we didn’t want the food now. They didn’t even give so much as an apology, just an offer to put them in takeaway boxes. Unbelievable! Got back to the car and discovered they’d given us something entirely different to what we’d ordered…no words 😖. This probably explains why next door was jam packed and these guys weren’t. They were so flustered behind the counter, not knowing who was doing what. First and last time visit for us. Dreadful…

We changed our plans for evening meal when the pub we'd intended to eat at was closed on Sunday evening. The change turned out well. We found this lovely pub on a village green. The food was excellent. I had pheasant, my husband had pie. We enjoyed it so much we went back again the following evening. We then both had pheasant. The meal was beautifully cooked, the vegetables were delicious. I only wish I lived closer. Just one note of caution, the village is very dark at night in winter so have a torch or well charged phone. It all adds to the charm though.

I’ve been walking around stow this morning and I thought I would pop in here to have some breakfast last minute. When I arrived the atmosphere was so lovely, the waiters Corey and Scott were so welcoming and kind and happily allowed me to sit down and have some breakfast. They were both so polite and were so hardworking, and continued to ask me how I was and if I would like anything else of anything. I’ve been here twice for some food and drinks and all the staff who work here are just so lovely and welcoming. Amazing teamwork from everyone.

Mum held her 90th birthday party here. She decided to have a birthday tea and invited 23 friends and family. Sharon and her team listened to mum's preferences regarding food and seating, were so helpful, putting up the banners and balloons. Everything was perfect. The tea was delicious, the sandwiches and scones were divine and don't get me started on the individual cakes. We also had little scotch eggs and sausage rolls, all on proper tiered cake stands. Tea and coffee was served throughout. Thank you Sharon and your team. We made a lot of happy memories. A special thank you to "The Help"!
