The coffee shop we intended to go to was packed, so we went next door to Davenford instead as it wasn’t very busy at all. We ordered coffee and pastries and sat down inside with the dog (sign at the front saying dogs allowed but on lead). While we were waiting, a waiter came to give us a menu, not realising we’d already ordered, so walked away. Next thing, another staff member came and said dogs were only allowed at the front part of the store. No one mentioned this before! So we had to pack up our things and head to tables outside because the minimal tables were taken inside. After waiting a while, finally got our drinks but no food, he said it was coming. How hard is it to put two pastries from the shelf into plates?!! They never came so I went in to cancel the pastries and ask for a refund, because we’d finished our drinks so we didn’t want the food now. They didn’t even give so much as an apology, just an offer to put them in takeaway boxes. Unbelievable! Got back to the car and discovered they’d given us something entirely different to what we’d ordered…no words 😖. This probably explains why next door was jam packed and these guys weren’t. They were so flustered behind the counter, not knowing who was doing what. First and last time visit for us. Dreadful…

The food was ok, but overpriced. The XXL sausage roll was moderately sized. The pulled pork batch was small and underwhelming. Afternoon tea priced at £54!! Laughable. But the thing that really got my goat was the fact when I asked for the WIFI password I was told it is for B & B guests only. Business tip:- if you want to charge customers £54 for afternoon tea, you need to be providing the WIFI code to them, it’s not the Savoy!

We stopped on our way up north and had coffee and a delicious brunch. Loved it all: the food, the service, the decor, the warmth!

Breakfast to die for and great coffee! Staff are very friendly and it’s a relaxing way to either start your day or break the journey. Would recommend the poached eggs on sourdough with avocado and bacon.

We four had breakfast here on all 14 days of our stay, in a nearby rental. The food is fresh, the ambience charming, the staff friendly and prompt. Next time, I would rent a room here, too!

Very expensive for what we had, tasteless sausage roll that looked good but was bland. One scone, jam, cream and two teas £25.50! Service hit and miss, couldn’t even bring us cutlery- think there are probably better places to go in the town.

My stay at The Seagrave Arms in Chipping Campden was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality by Alex and her delightful, attentive team, who made every effort to ensure a fantastic experience. The seabass was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection with fresh, vibrant flavours that highlighted the quality of ingredients. Paired with the charming ambiance of this historic inn, it made for an unforgettable dining experience. After a fantastic meal, I enjoyed a perfectly mixed nightcap before retreating to my room. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. Waking up in the heart of the Cotswolds, I took a refreshing morning walk through the countryside, soaking in the beauty of springtime. The location is truly unbeatable—both tranquil and scenic, yet conveniently close to Chipping Campden's highlights. I’m already looking forward to returning to experience one of their pizza evenings and exploring more of the exciting events they have lined up. If you're seeking delicious food, warm hospitality, and a relaxing stay in the Cotswolds, The Seagrave Arms is a must-visit!

Lovely spot for lunch. The ambience was pleasant, not too noisy, no intrusive music. The menu was not so long that you know everything comes from the freezer/microwave. The staff were very young but efficient, pleasant and very helpful. When I said that my elderly mother and I would share a main they brought it on two plates and offered to do something off-menu if that was what she wanted. My husband loved his liver special.
