We changed our plans for evening meal when the pub we'd intended to eat at was closed on Sunday evening. The change turned out well. We found this lovely pub on a village green. The food was excellent. I had pheasant, my husband had pie. We enjoyed it so much we went back again the following evening. We then both had pheasant. The meal was beautifully cooked, the vegetables were delicious. I only wish I lived closer. Just one note of caution, the village is very dark at night in winter so have a torch or well charged phone. It all adds to the charm though.

Had lunch with friends recently at this old high street pub, which has bee extended out the back to provide a very large restaurant in about three/four different areas. The food was very acceptable and with generous proportions - on a sunny day the OH and I went for chicken caesar slad which was plentiful and tasty. Good drinks selection, nice atmosphere - all in all., what's not to like in this place

This is a Pub with Rooms, not a Hotel. Our stay at room 12,was rather a large disappointment,no Wardrobe not even a hook to hang your clothes on. And rather a large number of Cobwebs throught our room. Not for us customer service nill

We had two very nice breakfasts and two fine dinners at the King's Head. The food is locally sourced for the most part, well prepared and served. The pub is great and always crowded with locals, which must say something!

The Kings head is a pub with history which is listed on the blackboard. It is a proper local pub. If you want good priced tasty food served by friendly staff go and take in the local atmosphere. It's not fine dining and it doesn't pretend to be.

The food here is always good and the menu changes frequently enough. I use this pub on a weekly basis as we have our regular bridge night here. They are so friendly to us in our back room spot. The service is excellent and the quality very good in every area. In the warmer months they have a terraced area out back surrounded by english garden prettiness and an area out front overlooking this Cotswold village green. This is just a lovely, lovely pub.

Stopped in for lunch. Well priced pub menu. Good beer selection. Had to wait 45 mins for a couple of baguettes but, when they arrived, they were delicious.

A stunning day and we were given a lovely table in the garden - was like being on holiday! Surrounded by beautiful hydrangeas in dappled shade. Four of us there for lunch and we all ate different things - roast beef, roast pork, hamburger and for me the dressed crab. Super critical guests and all very happy with their meals so thank you. Service was good too.

Enjoyed a scrumptious Sunday Roast of pork with all the trimmings of potatoes vegetables and gravy beautifully plated. The added attraction is the scenic Cotswold stone cottages which surround the pub. Friendly service staff. Do book a table before going.

Lovely welcome , great service . I definitely recommend the Turkish eggs from the breakfast menu. An unusual dish of yoghurt poached eggs and sourdough toast with a spicy twist , delicious

Excellent restaurant in a very beautiful hotel where I celebrated my birthday with a a small group of friends. Last year I also enjoyed an evening meal here with my partner. Ambience, service and food were perfect. Apéritifs in the lounge, well-spaced tables in the restaurant, excellent, polite and friendly staff, delicious food and lovely surroundings. By far the best restaurant I have been to in years.

We attended a Wedding at Fosse Manor (in their Hyde Barn). The wedding catering was excellent. It is confusing to read the other reviews here as there was no actual restaurant on site that we could see - just the wedding banquet room and adjoining bar. Breakfast however was not good. Pre-cooked under 3 heat lamps and self-service. The tea was very weak even after adding more tea-bags! The breakfast room was styled like a hostel with long trestle tables for lots of guests to sit together, and was extremely noisy. After a night spent in the terrible accommodation here (for which we have written a separate review) we did not enjoy this experience at all. A shame, as the Wedding catering itself was very well done and managed.

What a lovely place. A true tea-room in every sense. Prompt table service and lovely food in a magical setting overlooking the town.
