Having checked online for some local food places, this became one I definitely wanted to try. Visiting on a rainy day I imagined it to be a bit quieter, but no, there was still a decent queue. Must be good, I thought! We ordered a couple of baguettes and chose some bits to enjoy another time (sausage roll, pasty & scotch egg!). Total cost, around £20. Service was fantastic. Despite being busy, our food was made fairly quickly and staff were really lovely. Our food was delicious and we both decided we wanted to go back for another baguette at some point ;D

Very popular for a reason, excellent fresh made to order sandwiches! If you're in Stow-in-the-Wold and you don't have hours for a sit down lunch, if you want to grab a delicious sandwich takeaway, and eat in the grass in a nearby churchyard in order to continue to take in the amazing atmosphere in this town, then this is your place. Endless sandwich suggestions, or you can simply design your own. The sandwich makers behind the line are quick and efficient so even if the line is long, it moves quickly. And you can order a half sandwich! You may not be ready for a full sandwich, big dinner ahead - no worries, they will make you a half. Highly recommend.

What a gem of a find. We were looking for an inexpensive lunch option when we came across this store tucked away in Stow. They had a great range of baguette.wrap and sandwich fillings and nothing was too much trouble for them to make. Friendly helpful staff and very filling and enjoyable baguettes. We also tried a huge scotch egg which was delicious. Next time we’ll try some of the baked goods also.

The best scotch eggs we have EVER had. Visited with my partner on a weekend trip. The staff were the friendliest staff we have ever come across. Just fantastic service from start to finish. The scotch egg was just delicious (the best we have ever had and we eat a lot of them!!!) So much so, we contemplated walking miles back just to tell them how great they were! Hopefully the team see this review instead and just know that if we were local, we'd be here every single day!! HIGHLY recommend. Sometimes, it's the little things like buying lunch that can really change the whole entire day and I know it sounds silly, but it really made our day having such a pleasant experience. Excellent light lunch in Stow and the staff was very patient with us when trying to figure out an alternative to the turkey avocado sandwich we tried to order (the avocado was not available because they were not ripe). The bummer was the takeaway-only format - only visiting Stow for a short period during the day - we had difficulty finding a place to eat the sandwich. Fortunately it wasn’t raining.

Stopped off in Stow and decided to grab a roll for lunch. I was in a party of 4 and we all had something different and they were amazing. Unfortunately as I started the 2nd half of the most amazing baguette I bit into what I thought was a stone but turned out to be an olive stone, to say it hurt was an understatement and I immediately spat it out and my mouth was hurting. After a few minutes I gathered my composure and took another bite and bit down on a 2nd olive stone in the same place. This time I realised what pain was. Since then (4 days on) I have been in constant pain and cannot eat a thing on the right side of my mouth. I have an emergency appointment tomorrow (finally) to understand what damage had been done. I can understand missing a single olive stone but two stones is a bridge too far. It’s a real shame as till that moment probably the best baguette I have ever had… (as an FYI everyone else absolutely loved theirs)

The tour driver pointed it out as we headed into Stow and he said thats where he was going plus there was a short queue outside. This place is excellent all round - efficient, super service, helpful and not only did they have the widest range of sandwices (which they make to order fresh), the brown or white baguettes were fresh and crusty, the wide variety of fresh fillings looked great and they asked if I would like butter in my baguette too (I'm a strictly no butter in my sanwiches, thanks)! They also had a range of Sausie rolls, Pasties, and Scotch eggs, plus crisps, other snacks and drinks. The prices were the best I have seen in the sense I was so impressed, not only did I get lunch, I got a Scotch egg with side salad bowl to take away for dinner. The sandwich was plentiful and delicious. The scotch egg is the best I've ever had (now, thats saying something), the sausage meat was seasoned and tasty and it perfectly encompassed a boiled egg (its yoke was just set and not completely hard). It was just perfect! Both items cost a total of about ten pound fifty. Its a little bit out of the town itself, but well worth the walk to it. Highly, highly recommend

Can't fault this place! We had a halloumi and beetroot baguette, a vegetarian pasty and a couple of cappuccinos for lunch on the go. Really delicious, freshly made, and hard to choose from the many filling options available which include traditional and more creative options. Cappuccinos were excellent for takeouts, *not* suffering from the usual faults of scalding, then finishing with tasteless milky dregs! Staff were friendly and prices very reasonable. We'll definitely be back when we're next in the area.

Fantastic baguettes. We had two baguettes for lunch which were so delicious we returned the next day for breakfast ones. Really tasty, great selection of fillings, good prices and friendly staff. Everything you want from a sandwich shop - would 100% recommend and return if in the area again

Stopped at Stow on the way to family wedding in Manchester as other half not really seen any of the Cotswolds (and wanted to go to Fairfax & Favour!). Didn't have long to spend there so asked in F & F where we could get nice sandwich/snack from before we got on our way and we were directed here. Thank you F & F - this place is probably best take out establishment I have ever visited. Very friendly staff. Delicious, fresh, tasty baguettes and the sausage rolls/flapjack looked so lovely took one of each as well and wasn't disappointed. Even though we had to eat our lunch in the car park it was more enjoyable than some sit down meals I've had.

* I’m not sure “sandwich shop” does this place justice. It is so much more. Delicious freshly made baguettes and sandwiches, soups, locally made scotch eggs and pasties. Gorgeous cakes and drinks. Clearly a regular favourite with locals, but also offering visitors a unique takeaway service in Stow. They cater for large groups to order as well and have good knowledge and service for individual dietary needs. Always very friendly service, every time we’ve been.

Sandwiches are prepared fresh to your order, excellent selection of fills, baguette was not great. But the filling made up for that, they also offer doorstop white and brown bread, if they had better bread or baguettes they would have been 5 stars.

On a wet and rainy October day, Cotswold Baguettes was a welcome relief to a hungry family of 5. We ordered a range of baguettes with original and locally produced fillings plus fabulous home-made Scotch Eggs. The staff were efficient, obliging and friendly and the small shop was Covid secure with good measures in place. The baguettes and fillings were really delicious and were of really good quality. We highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a quick and easy meal at a good value price. No queues and no fuss.

We visited this place on our last day in the Cotswolds to grab some lunch. The baguettes are made fresh in front of you and they were absolutely delicious. Lots of variety too. If you see meatballs on as specials...get it! The cakes they sell are very delicious too.

We had the best hot sausage egg and bacon baguettes ever today along with a couple of excellent lattes and some delicious cake for later ... and all value for money ... will be our place for lunch whenever we visit !

Almorzamos desde aquí un par de veces y no nos decepcionó. Los rollos de salchicha de hierbas estaban bien. La baguette de gambas y aguacate estaba deliciosa. Mucho si es abundante. Definitivamente lo recomiendo aquí para hacer un picnic.

We did our research prior to our visit using Trip Advisor. It was clear that Cotswold Baguettes were the one to visit in Stow on the Wold. The three of us arrived early on a Saturday morning and each of us ordered a Granary Baguette. We had a Bacon, sausage and egg baguette, a bacon and and avocado baguette and a grated cheddar cheese and salad baguette. Plus two teas and a coffeeWe asked the owner for a suggestion as to where we could eat them. He gave us a great suggestion of the nearby Churchyard (which has benches to sit on)All of our baguettes were fantastic. Absolutely top of the shop. There was a minor discrepancy on the bill - but that was rapidly and most kindly rectified.We cannot recommend this establishment enough. It is the place to eat in Stow on the Wold for take-out gourmet Baguettes

Returned to Cotswold baguettes to get lunch for my husband , myself, my daughter and son in law. Really lovely baguettes with so much filling and a great choice of ingredients. Better than going out for lunch. My daughter and son in law had a bakewell and caramel rice crispie slice to finish. I was stuffed and well satisfied. Wish I could go back tomorrow.

excellent service and fantastic takeaway lunch. Sandwiches were fresh and make to order. They were even very accustomed to catering to my wife, who is a celiac, with gluten free bread and separate prep area (the owner is also celiac).

The baguettes are amazing! The staff were so friendly and helpful. My partner is Gluten Free, they went above and beyond to ensure she was catered for! We will be back.

Had such a nice cranberry, Brie and bacon baguette. They warm up the sandwich’s if you ask as well! Honestly one of the most tasty things I’ve ever had.

For one day we opted to take lunch with us for a walk and we stumbled across Cotswold Baguette. All five of us ordered different baguettes and they were all outstanding. We went back for three more lunches in our week holiday.

This place is being run by a very friendly & polite team. Food quality is absolute amazing. Must visit if you are ever in Stow.

I can’t even recommend this place enough, during our time away at the Cotswolds we visited here twice and I’d definitely go back if I was in the area. Usually I’m really fussy with sandwiches etc but here is a hidden gem.

Have been living in the Cotswolds since nearly a year now and for some reason only last week I entered this place for the first time. I can tell you I have been there twice now, and that says it all. Lots of options, fast and friendly service. I love the Cheddar, Onion Chutney with salad, cucumber and tomato. In dark bread. Mouth watering. Might need one again this week.

Took a long drive to get some baguettes after daughters choice over anything else. What can I say. Took a while as always to find a parking space but when did wandered up to the baguette shop. Got to the door to see a sign saying closed to our shock. Spoke to the manager and his wife to check they were definitively shut and explained we had driven quite far as the website and Google said they were open. The website states a later time than they actually open to on a Saturday and after chatting with the owners who could not apologise enough they completely went out of their way to make up some baguettes. I honestly would not have expected this and have never before received such amazing service. The baguettes were simply wonderful and we are extremely thankful for letting us have lunch. Thankyou again and I can't recommend enough. Will be back soon

Called in again, having visited 2 years ago, quality and service are still amazing, lovely staff, friendly, although we are not regulars, we had bacon, Brie and cranberry baguettes and they were delicious, fresh and good value, we will definitely call in next time we are in the area

My wife and I visited on a very wet Tuesday afternoon. The shop is very welcoming and the staff friendly. We had 2 of the most amazing baguettes and shared a scotch egg. They were great quality and very reasonably priced. I’d definitely recommend the shop for a lunchtime visit

Our yearly motorcycle ride from Shropshire to Bedfordshire to go to our friend's music festival means we ride through the beautiful Cotswold countryside. We have to make a bit of a detour to drop down to Stow but it's well worth the extra miles as we know that were in for a great lunch stop in a lovely town. The baguettes are second to none with the freshest top quality ingredients served by very friendly staff in immaculately clean premises. The list of possible choices is amazing and we still go for the bacon and brie with cranberry. Must try something different next year. You won't find anywhere better to eat and the prices are very reasonable. When you're this good at what you do it's no wonder you're a success. Well done again, see you next year.

Been visiting Cotswold baguettes every Friday for 3 years sometimes 2 orders sometimes 8 order could not fault service or standard of food from a sandwich or baguette to a sausage roll. Absolutely brilliant

We used the Cotswold Baguettes a couple of times during our stay near Stow on the Wold. The service was great, the sandwiches and cake plus other pastries. The baguettes are all freshly made and you can mix and match the contents. We had brie and pesto and brie and ham. Bread was fresh each day plus cakes seem to also be fresh also. My wife had lemon drizzle and she loved it. It is a great place to grab a quick lunch especially if you are walking through the town or further onward. Thoroughly recommend.

On Saturday we were purchasing some furniture from a local shop, having never been to the town before we had a quick wander before making our way home and walked passed Cotswold Baguette.

On a trip from Kendal to Portsmouth we stopped off especially, because it's THE best sandwich shop you'll ever visit! Excellent, friendly, smile-laden service and first-class food. You WON'T be disappointed.

Have used Cotswold Baguettes for sometime for my little lunch treats. Always excellent in every way. Today I strayed from my usual order and tried one of their scotch eggs! I am a bit of an expert on this very british scrummy little delicacy which of recent history has been appearing on top class restaurants around the country as a starter in various forms. This does speak highly of the fabulous combination of egg and various forms of meaty wrap. I must say that the Cotswold Baguettes homemade scotch egg is one of the very best. This will in future be an addition to my purchases from this establishment and my waistline. thankyou.

After five days of delicious but mammoth sized lunches in the Cotswolds, on the 6th day I decided to grab a baguette, a bag of crisps, and a bottle of water at the Cotswolds Baguettes and take it back to my hotel. Choices are many. Ingredients are fresh and combinations inventive. Desserts are homemade and scrumptious, and the folks are friendly!

We were staying in the Cotswolds on a short break from our home in Kent and was looking for top places to eat in Stow and read a few reviews on here and decided we had to get some filled baguettes and the legendary scotch eggs. The staff are so friends and the shop very nicely decorated. The ladies serving were really nice and they produced some delicious baguettes for our lunch. If you are in Stow you simply must try the scotch eggs and other fabulous treats.

My concierge recommended Cotswold Baguettes if I wanted tasty, filling yet budget. Pick up a couple of good-size sausage rolls, pasties, and/or bread - costs range of 2-4 GBP, which is perfect if you're about to do one of the Stow Walks or have finished a 3-5 miles ramble in the Cotswolds. Or you're just on your way to St. Edward's to visit the JRR Tolkein door and yew trees!

Todo parecía maravillosamente fresco y también me dieron una encantadora y alegre bienvenida. Me llevé una baguette recién rellena con gambas, aguacate, lechuga y salsa de mariscos. Se sugirió agregar pimienta negra y un aderezo de limón. ¡Estaba delicioso! Me llevé a casa huevos escoceses y rollos de salchicha. Estos comimos más tarde y fueron igual de buenos. Definitivamente aparecerá en el próximo paso.

Sin lugar a dudas, los mejores huevos escoceses de la zona. El "ingrediente especial" en la carne de salchicha que lo hace tan ligero y aireado. . . . y las suaves yemas, simplemente fenomenal.

Este es un establecimiento bastante maravilloso; La gran variedad de rellenos tanto para baguettes como para envolturas y la sopa (que se cambia diariamente) es para "morir por!". El personal es muy amigable y útil. En general, un lugar que no debe perderse.

Popped by here through TripAdvisor's recommendation and was truly not disappointed. Had 2 bowls of really good soup, scotch eggs, sausage rolls and not to forget their sandwiches. Really nice and authentic. The servers were also friendly and nice! Great place to grab a quick bite. Sadly there r no seating area in their shop.

Called into this little shop to buy a spot of lunch and we were not disappointed. The place was beautifully laid out with a fantastic range of pastries,pies and numerous sandwich fillings. So many we were spoilt for choice but decided on Cornish pasties, which they heated up for us. These were carefully wrapped with serviettes and a business card in a little takeaway carrier bag. Good value for money and absolutely delicious.

Picked up a few savoury items and a slice of lemon drizzle for lunch on the go the following day. The scotch egg was absolutely sensational as was the lemon cake. The baguette choices looked equally appealing and staff were very friendly. A must visit!
