The Hive is absolutely adorable. Best cafe I've ever been to. We visited for lunch as part of our holiday in The Cotswolds. From start to finish it went beyond our expectations. We were warmly welcomed in by the owner. What a lovely lady!! We had the homemade soup of pea, courgette and lettuce with a homebaked cheese scone. Absolutely delicious!!! Seems strange to have soup in August but it was just what we needed. The cheese scone was divine!! Had a really lovely latte and my husband had tea. The decor was really welcoming and comforting too. All the staff were very attentive and helpful and it was very evident how well it was being managed by the owner. Definitely a must if you want some lunch in Stow on The Wold.

Delicious baguette and sausage roll! Very good value with a drink, crisps, baguette and sausage roll all for £10 which is not bad at all, especially with the good quality. Lovely to take it and sit in Stow. Service was warm, smiley and efficient. No complaints!

Such a cute little place! The full English breakfast and the scones were so good. The owner or server was so nice and lovely. It was a great place for a rainy day breakfast.

The two best hot chocolates I have had in the world have both been in the UK and this was one of them! Great spot and the staff were incredible too! Wish I had a couple more days to have the goods here!

walked in on a cold miserable day and was looking forward to a coffee and a bite to eat. Was met at the counter by one of the most miserable staff members a lady in her early middle age I would say zero eye contact and extremely unfriendly. She grudgingly served me a coffee etc and put a damper on the whole experience . Not one smile nor gesture of welcome. Sorry but if you are having a bad day or you don't like the job please don't project that on the customer ; the goods are expensive and ambience and welcome are important to well being of general public who are paying for the food and the experience

We nipped in for a quick drink, the orange wine was delicious and the place has a nice atmosphere. We had some little snacks whilst visiting.

Mean spirited. So, it's freezing cold January evening and the bus didn't turn up. Hour wait for next one, went to Queens Head for a warm up drink. Hubby got a pint. No hot drinks sold, so I went out for a takeaway. When I reappeared, the barman shot over and told me I can't drink that here. Wouldn't be dissuaded by argument we'd made a purchase and they didn't sell hot drinks. Same guy was drinking a mug of something behind the bar. Didn't offer to put the kettle on and would rather I sit there with nothing.

Great evening at The Fox. Really attentive staff, lovely atmosphere and great food = a fantastic Friday evening. Highly recommend the Fish and Chips. We have often stayed here and haven't been for. a number of months and so it was nice to return and remember why we enjoy this place so much. Thanks to all for making a great evening whilst on our honeymoon.

We stayed in SotW for a friends wedding locally. It appeared everyone had come upto the Cotswolds for wedding that weekends at the White Hart was our 5th attempt at finding a spot for dinner - turns out 5th time lucky it was! We had lovely service throughout dinner, fantastic food in a really lovely dining room. Would strongly recommend, nice selection of drinks and main meals, could well be a lovely spot for dinner for two or small groups as well visiting the area.

Excellent service and food. A very good selection of teas. It's a good idea to book ahead, particularly for lunch, as it is a small cafe.

Nice outdoor seating and tasty coffee and cakes. Let down by strange service set up, we only ordered coffee and cake. The coffee arrived promptly but no sign of our cakes. When I asked, I was told by 2 members of staff just sat around that there were other orders ahead of mine. Why neither of them can be trusted to put 2 pre sliced cakes on plates is beyond me.
