The Hive is absolutely adorable. Best cafe I've ever been to. We visited for lunch as part of our holiday in The Cotswolds. From start to finish it went beyond our expectations. We were warmly welcomed in by the owner. What a lovely lady!! We had the homemade soup of pea, courgette and lettuce with a homebaked cheese scone. Absolutely delicious!!! Seems strange to have soup in August but it was just what we needed. The cheese scone was divine!! Had a really lovely latte and my husband had tea. The decor was really welcoming and comforting too. All the staff were very attentive and helpful and it was very evident how well it was being managed by the owner. Definitely a must if you want some lunch in Stow on The Wold.

Customer service was spot on and very efficient, baguettes were VERY reasonably priced for such a prime location, thank you

Amazing little find. Lovely lady essentially cooking you up a full breakfast in her own kitchen! Not too many tables, cute decor and 100% effort.

Cakes etc all look lovely but twenty minutes in and the coffee still hasn’t arrived, obviously popular but disappointing slow service. Cakes came but not with drinks. We were still waiting and the people around all went, some had gone after us. They don’t have table numbers or take a note of your names so being on 3 floors it’s all a bit random. I’ve not had these problems in the past so maybe popularity has brought new challenges?

I popped into Davenford in Stow, after I had been to their shop in Burford - it did not disappoint - really friendly team and great food. This time I tried their cream tea - great scones, light and fluffy!

We nipped in for a quick drink, the orange wine was delicious and the place has a nice atmosphere. We had some little snacks whilst visiting.

We were on our way home and just fancied a good old fashioned pub meal. It was a throwback to 20/30 years ago. Just what we wanted. Kirsty was also superb in serving us.

Rude staff! Would not return for this reason. Long wait for our table. Food was nice but meal was totally spoilt by the offensive rude attitude of staff.

We stayed in SotW for a friends wedding locally. It appeared everyone had come upto the Cotswolds for wedding that weekends at the White Hart was our 5th attempt at finding a spot for dinner - turns out 5th time lucky it was! We had lovely service throughout dinner, fantastic food in a really lovely dining room. Would strongly recommend, nice selection of drinks and main meals, could well be a lovely spot for dinner for two or small groups as well visiting the area.

Lovely afternoon lunch at the old bakery tea room with the owners. Lovely people, relaxed atmosphere, and superb service.

Nice outdoor seating and tasty coffee and cakes. Let down by strange service set up, we only ordered coffee and cake. The coffee arrived promptly but no sign of our cakes. When I asked, I was told by 2 members of staff just sat around that there were other orders ahead of mine. Why neither of them can be trusted to put 2 pre sliced cakes on plates is beyond me.
