Nice change from Italian or British pub food. Nice selection of traditional Greek dishes. What we had was tasty. Nice cosy atmosphere

We both had the chicken kebabs and Greek salad and they were of exceptional quality, I don’t think you would get better if you were on a Greek island ! The service was first class and if you are in Stow I fully recommend this restaurant

Our favourite restaurant in The Cotswolds! Such a beautiful restaurant set in a charming little courtyard. We like to try something difference on the menu every time we visit and the ‘Monk Fish Special’ certainly did not disappoint! Thank you so much ‘Team Alexiou’s’ for a super evening!!!!

A lovely location and ambience, the staff were really friendly. Then we felt sadly let down by the food, I'd read great reviews, maybe my expectations were affected by this. I had the King Prawn in Garlic butter, Prawns cooked perfectly but dropped on a plate with no garnish and the flavouring was average. My wife had the Calamari which was nice. Me and my wife then had Chicken & Beef Kebabs respectively and again nothing inspiring, cooked well, a plain salad with feta, and surprisingly no warm pitta. We had two alcoholic drinks and one dessert and the bill was over £100. I've eaten at plenty of restaurants in Greece, so I guess I was expecting something more memorable.

First time at this restaurant having booked based on the great reviews. So glad we did, amazing food and lovely staff in a really lovely cozy environment. We had the chicken and beef kebabs which were both excellent. Loved the whole experience. Highly recommended and will certainly be back.

Came here for a spontaneous dinner & the staff were very accommodating. The food was excellent & I was made to feel very welcomed. Very cosy on a rainy day, can’t recommend enough. If you want a taste of Greece, this is the place to be! Will definitely be back soon

Lovely small cosy restaurant with excellent menu and drinks selection. The front of house staff were very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable of both the food and the wine list. The food was absolutely delicious, well cooked and well presented. It was busy on a Thursday evening, so booking is probably recommended. There is also a small courtyard for lunch when the sun is shining. Will definitely be returning.

I came here for lunch and it was such a lovely meal. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We sat outside in the beautiful courtyard and soaked up the lovely atmosphere. The food was also delicious and we were stuck for choice when looking at the great menu. Highly recommend for a lunch or dinner.

Caught up with some friends over cocktails and had the sharing Mezze. So much food!! Staff were so lovely and helpful and the atmosphere was perfect. We were the last ones there and didn’t feel pressured to hurry up and leave! Can’t wait to go back on the next sunny day we get!

Avoid this restaurant if you have children, a disability or are likely to cancel. In the terms and conditions, the phrase £30 per person may be debited for no shows or cancellations. The important term here is “may be”. This implies that with reasonable excuses the management may waiver this payment. HE WON’T. He uses this as he WILL debit your account if for ANY reason you cannot make your booking or even if you choose to leave. We attended our booking at 6pm and found the staff to be insincere and rude. I enquired about a children’s menu to which I was told that there was none. The waitress was very sarcastic and eye rolled. She provided little help on how I should feed my 6 year old and the chef was not consulted for options. Then a different waitress asked to move my husband’s walking aides away from the menus wall. She pointed to the opposite wall as to where they would be. My husband agreed as they were still accessible. She didn’t leave them there, she put them out of sight in a different room. I could not find them when we got up to leave. We left because of the lack of service for children and because of my husband being made to feel “in the way” for being disabled. In the UK when you enter into a contract you are agreeing to provide a service. We arrived for our meal. We therefore satisfied our side of the agreed contract. We turned up. Hungry. We did not feel that the service was acceptable and we left which is our legal right. An hour later the restaurant debuted our account for £120! For making a choice that they were not up to industry standards. They expected us to stay despite us feeling very unwelcome. So, by collecting the £120 for no show or cancellation, the restaurant committed fraud because we did turn up on time, completing outside of any pre-agreed contract. They illegally took our money despite not satisfying their side of the contract. You do not have to stay and eat anywhere where two members of your family are not welcome. You do have a right to leave. Not here, apparently. Thankfully, HSBC cancelled my card and the payment was not allowed to exit my account. This was because we actioned this straight away. When my husband politely requested a refund on returning to the restaurant, he was told that had he approached the owner in a better way, then he would have been refunded. But because the owner felt threatened by a poor review, he refused to honour a refund. He told him to wait 24hrs for the chance of getting a refund whilst he checked some terms and conditions. He was extremely vague in any agreement to provide a refund. He wanted us to wait a day, when funds funds would clear into his account. Luckily, we took action against this fraud, thanks to HSBC. I can only say that you should never pre-book this restaurant. Only ever turn up. You cannot trust this person with your card details. He has used my card details without any signature, pin or legal permission. It is fraud. Further more, there will be plenty of space. Other than us there were only two other diners at 6pm leaving over a minimum of 10 tables empty. I couldn’t see upstairs, but I guess this could be more space available. Having a huge love for Greece and the warmth and quality of family connections and service, I can only say that I was thoroughly disappointed with what experience we encountered tonight. Stow on the Wold deserves better.

First Sunday they've been open this year it seems. Completely satisfied, food very nice, no problems at all. Staff all friendly and happy, had moussaka and chicken kebab. Very much as you would expect in Greece/Cyprus/Crete. Will be back.
