The best restaurants in Fowey Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

Finally got to try the Indian after driving past for years. Delicious food, served promptly. Lovely waitress, reasonably priced. Lots of dishes we hadn't heard of or tried so it was nice to try something new

We only stopped for coffee, we ended up staying for lunch and taking advantage of the amazing views!! Excellent service and hope to one day return for a longer stay with our little dog.

Precioso edificio y terrenos. Un restaurante verdaderamente terrible con gerente a la altura. Fue por el día de la madre. Solo "asados" disponibles. Masivamente sobrecocinado vegetariano y pudín Yorkshire, pobre "asado de nueces", y la porción más pequeña del mundo de tarta de limón de postre (directo de un supermercado creo). Muy mala relación calidad-precio. Para empeorar las cosas, el gerente insistió en que, al sentarnos a la mesa, habíamos acordado pagar una tasa de servicio del 10 %. Nunca volverá hasta bajo nueva dirección.

Amazing food. Beautifully cooked and presented. We had crab with runners beans to start and one pork and one sea bass as main. Chocolate mousse as dessert. Open kitchen and they cook on a barbecue. We may try to sit at the bar next time to see how it's done.

This is traditional fudge - crumbly with a good selection of flavours and we stood watching while chocolate orange fudge was being made which was nice to see….. it’s not the cheapest but you get what you pay for…. Traditional which comes at a cost and made on the premises.

Monday only me in the bakery purchased pk saffron buns l had to get buns from shop window ,put buns into paper bag. The girl seamed not interested in her job.asked about the tasted of the saffron in the buns. Her reply she did not eat them.shirly she should know about the products she sell. I will not go back.

2 stars because beer was good. -3stars because food and service awful. Seafood chowder watery and obviously made with frozen bag of prawns and cod. Tasted like a thin soup. Partners fish n chips...the fish undercooked and slimy. But perhaps worst was the absolute lack of interest from the lady behind the bar...shocking service. No wonder the place was empty. Avoid.

Great place to stop for a beer after a long walk.

Stayed in The Safe Harbour many times over the years. Always receive a friendly welcome from Graham & Gill. Fantastic breakfast set you up for the day, Wonderful rooms with fantastic views of the river. Greta location for exploring Fowey and other parts of Cornwall.

So so good! We ordered a selection of plates to share - asparagus with goats cheese, pollack with curry mayo, potatoes with Gouda, green salad, mussels in cider - all absolutely delicious. Lovely staff, gorgeous venue and view. We will definitely be back!!

Very welcoming and helpful staff, the guys behind the bar couldn’t have been more professional and helpful. Very clean facilities, as a visiting sailor you couldn’t ask for more, we’ll definitely be back. Thanks guys, until next time….

Went down for dinner on the evening we arrived. As we were the only people dining at the time we were given a choice of tables. Drinks order was taken promptly while we chose from a fairly extensive menu. Drinks promptly arrived and food order was taken, but there was then a twenty minute wait before the food arrived. The food was only just about average, given the price of the courses I truly expected better. The fish and chips was not freshly prepared with the batter being hard not crispy, the fish itself was over cooked, it had obviously been kept in an oven after being cooked. the sausage in the toad in the hole was not of any high quality with a lot of rusk in the filling. Breakfast the next morning was acceptable, again the sausages were not the best. I feel that this could and should be addressed as the quality of ingredients is a lot lower than the prices applied to meals The restaurant staff were helpful and polite in general but I do not enjoy being referred to as “ my darling” by the person waiting on at breakfast, in an hotel of this stature I would expect sir and madam to be a better choice of address.
