Excellent food and service. We were warmly welcomed into the restaurant and took a table next to windows overlooking the estuary. Initial drinks and food order taken with starters arriving in good time, chicken parfait was truly wonderful and well presented. The main course of flat steak with pepper sauce was outstanding with the green veg medley being tender and tasty. Well attended to at the table and politely wished well as we departed. Had lunch a fortnight before this in Padstow and to be honest The Seafood Restaurant came nowhere near the standards set here. Well done to the staff for making lunch very enjoyable.

Love this place. Very friendly. We were part of a group of 16 friends and all went well. We were in a separate dining area and had an amazing time. Looking forwards to going back soon!

Amazing food. Beautifully cooked and presented. We had crab with runners beans to start and one pork and one sea bass as main. Chocolate mousse as dessert. Open kitchen and they cook on a barbecue. We may try to sit at the bar next time to see how it's done.

We decided to eat in here on a Sunday evening. We walked in to find a couple of very small (3 year old if that) children in the bar area chucking pool balls on the floor! We ordered drinks which we had to pay for straight away, we couldn't have a 'tab'. We chose a table as far away from the children as possible, then went to order food, having to pay again. Throughout the meal one of the children kept running up to the doors that lead out to the back terrace, by the river, and trying to open it (child was very small with a dummy in its mouth). No sign of parents! The couple on the next table were a little concerned and told it to 'go and find its mummy'. Good job child didn't open the door as it would have been on the river side! There is a sign on the bar saying 'No children at the bar' and yet these very small ones were allowed to run up and down and mess around at the bar! It's not a Wacky Warehouse! The food was ok, husband had pizza which was good. I had scampi. It was fine but frozen and chucked in the fryer. No garnish or anything, you get what it says (scampi, chips & peas, salad is an extra charge). You do realise that taking payment like this is drastically reducing any tips? Nobody is going to tip 'up front' on ordering their food. Maybe a lot of people walk out without paying? We don't carry cash. We had another drink so we had to tap the card machine on 3 separate occasions. It was ok, would certainly not be my first choice and the children in the bar area certainly put me off. They were still there when we left, starting to cry as obviously they're getting tired!

Great location on the Main Street of this quaint village of Fowey. Lovely traditional steak pasty just served pipping hot from the oven. Adjoining cafe too. Lots of variety in this bakery. Lovely staff & fresh & clean

This is traditional fudge - crumbly with a good selection of flavours and we stood watching while chocolate orange fudge was being made which was nice to see….. it’s not the cheapest but you get what you pay for…. Traditional which comes at a cost and made on the premises.

Lovely meal at the King of Prussia. I had brined cod for a main which was delicious. Side dishes were excellent too. Good choice on the wine list. Definitely recommend for a special meal.

Went down for dinner on the evening we arrived. As we were the only people dining at the time we were given a choice of tables. Drinks order was taken promptly while we chose from a fairly extensive menu. Drinks promptly arrived and food order was taken, but there was then a twenty minute wait before the food arrived. The food was only just about average, given the price of the courses I truly expected better. The fish and chips was not freshly prepared with the batter being hard not crispy, the fish itself was over cooked, it had obviously been kept in an oven after being cooked. the sausage in the toad in the hole was not of any high quality with a lot of rusk in the filling. Breakfast the next morning was acceptable, again the sausages were not the best. I feel that this could and should be addressed as the quality of ingredients is a lot lower than the prices applied to meals The restaurant staff were helpful and polite in general but I do not enjoy being referred to as “ my darling” by the person waiting on at breakfast, in an hotel of this stature I would expect sir and madam to be a better choice of address.
