Very welcoming and helpful staff, the guys behind the bar couldn’t have been more professional and helpful. Very clean facilities, as a visiting sailor you couldn’t ask for more, we’ll definitely be back. Thanks guys, until next time….

Lovely meal and great service. Amazing setting too right on the river! Staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Good selection of drinks.

made an enquiry regarding booking and eating here as only staying around the corner - secretary of club gave no guidance on how to join - only if you are not a member you can't come in - thats it job done - how helpful is that - if you are in Fowey go someone else - don't waste your time or money - as obviously they dont need it !!!!

Due to staff needing retraining in both communication and manners, our visit here never happened although it had been booked for a week. Its no wonder the locals don't speak very highly of the staff there !!!

We enjoyed an excellent lunch on a glorious day sitting outside. We were well looked after and the food was excellent despite the kitchen beng very short staffed. Fish and chips superb.

Great stop for lunch or dinner. Great menu with plenty of seafood. The terrace is superb overlooking the entire harbour.

This is tucked away down a side street - look for the small sign at the bottom of Lostwithiel St. It's officially members only, but I believe that rule is relaxed out of season (apologies if this isn't the case!). The view is spectacular - right on the water. The food in the restaurant is consistently good, and being subsidised, good value. This particular trip was our usual treat - the local gin, and some cheesy chips, sitting looking out at the estuary!

We used to love popping in here when we were in Truro, you would be lucky to get a seat but now it’s take your pick. In a nutshell the place has lost its soul.

Festive Afternoon Tea this afternoon was very disappointing. It is clearly a stop gap to keep income trickling in between Sunday lunch and evening dinner service. The biggest issue is with the service, very inattentive, unconcerned staff not in the slightest bit interested in providing a professional level of attention. The afternoon tea was acceptable but not exactly delightful let alone memorable or to be recommend to others. Delightful setting with the hotel beautifully appointed and well decorated for Christmas, just a pity the staff were not switched on at all. Management at fault and it would appear no investment made in staff training.

For a spot of lunch, my wife and two children decided to eat here. Never again. We settled on the beef style kebabs (on a skewer). With rice. The beef was tough, tastless, rough and badly cooked. I was a butcher, I should know! Rice was microwaved but still undercooked! The salad that came with it was soggy, rotten and floppy. The best part of the meal was the kids fish goujons. We spent 70 quid (including drinks) on some of the worst food I've eaten.
