CLC Trenython Manor in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Después de habernos alojado aquí como miembros del CLC hace un par de veces muchos años regresamos por una semana a principios de julio. Es un entorno fantástico y a poca distancia en coche de muchos lugares de belleza locales, excelentes restaurantes y playas. Un paseo encantador por el bosque si has ido con perros, aunque algunos lugares un poco inundados debido a toda la lluvia que hemos tenido. Nos alojamos en una hermosa cabaña de 2 camas que estaba impecable. La mansión en sí es preciosa, el bar y las zonas de restaurantes están muy bien cuidadas y el personal muy servicial y amable.

Second visit to this hotel. Stayed for one night on business. The building itself is splendid, as are the grounds. the hotel rooms are large, comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was excellent and all staff were friendly and professional. will stay here again when next in the area.

Last night we had an amazing meal, again! In fact, we have been to Trenython for many meals and not once have we been disappointed. We had the rump steak, which was very tasty and mouth-watering. This time, we ordered the steak in advance before we arrived, so that they would not run out. :) But, in the main, everything we have eaten there in the past has been 100% delicious. The staff are a real pleasure to meet each time we go. The new staff and longer working staff, are all so friendly and cheerful. They are a joy and create a wonderful atmosphere. It's always a great dining experience in the Trenython restaurant and certainly the very best place to dine for many miles around. Thank you everyone. I look forward to returning very soon. We have just returned home from a wonderful week stay at this beautiful hotel. All the staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. Thank you for your patience with 2 young children, especially in the restaurants. Thank you to the house keeping staff, who really went beyond all expectations with cleaning the room, especially after our trips to the beach! Always leaving fresh towels and biscuits for us, so appreciated!

Eat here 19/3 12:00 for my step fathers (RB) birthday and it was my birthday on 17/3, returned from Spain for a week. Of course Mother’s Day was the 19/3 too and they were very busy. Mum have been there a number of times with friends and family. Our 3 Course Mothers Day Special was £27. And what value it was, Met by the F&B Manager, nice touch. 3 of us had soup, Roasted Squash. I’m GF, so not only did I get GF bread, but artisan GF. Attention to detail clearly. Husband had Japanese King Prawns, I think cooked in pano breadcrumbs or similar, he said they were Devine. We had a mix of roasts, 2 beef, 2 turkey. Mum wanted hers more well done, mine more rare. Delivered. Plentiful of veg. Nothing was a problem to our server who I think was Lin. Banter with her was great and she looked after us. Desserts, 2 crumbles, well don’t count those calories, and mum and I had the fruit Elton mess. All in all it could not be faulted. We were thinking of going somewhere else when I’m back from Spain on 16/4, but before we left the driveway I’d booked again on my phone. The only issues we had is my name wasn’t on the list when we arrived, that’s cos I booked it under Rob’s name not mine my fault but as you can imagine, no spare tables on Mothering Sunday! 5 star service, 5 star food and Chefs that know what they are doing. This was a lovely experience, the manor has a beautiful dining room. The quality of the food was really good. The meats were tender, lots of different vegetables and the gravy was lovely. Two little points, my yorkie had lost its crunch and the potatoes hadn’t been fluffed up on the outside to give them a better texture, however the insides were lovely. The service was excellent, all the staff were friendly and efficient. We will definitely go again.

It is with disappointment that I am writing this review. I went on Sunday 11 Sept with my husband and friends for Sunday Lunch. We had a fantastic Sunday lunch here a few months and it was fantastic and have recomended this to many It was very disappointing :(

went to TRENYTHON MANOR for a swim and a meal , oh my god the swim was good ,the meal was the worst I have every had the pizza for main I left most of it I had a pud ,,,,coconut rice pudding , Ii eat most anything ,,not this time ,,,it was cold but that's fine hot or cold I love to eat rice pudding ,,, it had NO FLAVOUR OR TASTE at all,,, so I got the pud and took it back,,, I have never done that in my 60 years,,,,they told me it was fine nothing wrong with it!! ,,,so I left there hungry, having no food , I wont eat there again let down good and proper, it was treat for sister inl aw birthday ,, should have gone brit after the swim.......... we had 2 main and swim for £ 36.... and 1 pud 3 wines and a fizzy lime for £ 26...waste of money

My wife and I stayed at the Trenython Manor for four night in early June. We had a delightful, quiet stay. We booked a sea view room which was large and airy with a comfortable bed, nice bathroom, comfortable couch and chair. The staff were helpful at all times. The pool looked great, though we did not sue it. The Manor has decent gardens but they need a lot of upgrading. The woodland trails were short for the most part due to being overgrown and covered in nettles. The Manor is well situated for many towns and villages in the area. Well worth going back to in a couple of years. There is no elevator!

Our week stay at the Manor was excellent. We enjoyed the food and the staff were helpful and friendly, It was easy access to many coastal walks

If you have any food issues you may find the food choices limited. Can recommend the scallops though!

Bucolic surrounding. We stayed in Cedar Lodge. All the floors squeaked. Two of our party returned home because they did mot want to share one toilet. At the end of the week, we were all happy to go home for a good night sleep. Mr & Mrs Goss

This is a review of the restaurant. Came here on recommendation of and with family. I was given to understand the restaurant was at the heart of what was a great estate and stately home. Clearly true. Very imposing entrance and reception hall. Staff very pleasant and everything totally Covid compliant. Discovered that due to current restrictions the main dinning room was closed and we were to eat in the bar. The bar is a splendid room with a very high ceiling, unfortunately it has absolutely no atmosphere at all. There was another family there playing a board game who left shortly after we arrived, leaving the three of us as the sole occupants. We started to whisper as it felt inappropriate to hold a conversation at normal volume. Possibly the camera on the wall above our table didn’t help. The menu when presented was stripped down, again due to the current circumstances. Nothing much appealed so we settled for the fish and chips. It was all distinctly average, nothing wrong with the food except no doubt due to the distance from the kitchen, it wasn’t very hot. May be I’m being unfair. May be things would be different under “normal” circumstances. May be there is somewhere to eat in the Manor that is opulent but cosy with subdued lighting that provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The whole experience was definitely not what I expected, a bit like having a meal in a National Trust house after all the visitors had gone. I wish the Manor well and hope times improve for them as soon as possible.

Having had great difficulty in booking aswim for my Grandson I need to clarify that things did improve. It was not pointed out to me that normally there is not a late swim time and that they had indeed made an exception in our case. From then on all seemed to improve. There were only three other people in the pool so that was wonderful. AS for the food before it could not have been bettered and the most pleasant waiter. So we are feeling much better about the situation. I was not complaining really re the price of swim and food which actually at £15 is great value but as a local it would be lovely to pop up more regularly for just a swim which I would happily pay £10 but this does not seem to be an option.

We were pleased to see in addition to the restricted menu there were Specials each evening, which were beautifully cooked. We were disappointed to find the restaurant wasn't open on Mondays + Tuesdays.

Review for restaurant only. These are challenging times for the F&B sector as they feel their way forward. First of all in terms of hygiene and covid compliance - 100%. Caution is their watch word. As the staff return from furlong I am confident things will improve. The dining was empty save for us and unfortunately one of our meals was very sub-standard and disappointing The manager dealt with our complaint professionally and didn't charge us. I wish them luck going forward, but it did put us off eating anywhere else during the week as we concluded it was all 'a new world' and would take some adjusting to.

Great hotel, lovely spacious and well decorated rooms with big and comfy beds. Staff are all lovely and pleasant. Food in restaurant was excellent.

Used the swim and lunch option. The food was very enjoyable, the staff were very helpful and ensured that we had everything we wanted and the surroundings were beautiful as we were seated next to the window.

A fantastic holiday with beautiful lodges and a hotel with all the facilities. Very reasonable prices.love going there every year now .great food

Absolutely amazing team and venue, me and my wife got married here and the cake fell apart in transit and they helped save the day by rectifying that overnight, the food was really delicious and the whole team could not do enough to help, highly...
