Food beautifully cooked and presented, staff friendly and service great, scenery breathe taking. Only stayed 3 consecutive nights and as a non fish eater hope the menu changes every 4 days or else it would be a bit repetitive eating the same food.

Beautifully furnished restaurant and stunning views out over the estuary. We had the 2 course Sunday lunch which was good value for the quality of the food. We had the beef and nut roasts and everything was really delicious.

Only the water pressure for shower is really low. Beautiful room. Clean and chic. I love it!

Had a very peaceful lunch with a beautiful view over the harbour. Lunch set menu was good value. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and the beetroot salad starter and salmon main were delicious.

2024 Stayed here last year and decided to come back again and very pleased we did. Glad to see it is as well kept, welcoming and comfortable as always. New Chesterfields in the amazing lounge bar area with stunning views over the fowey estuary made it super comfy and a perfect place to have a coffee or cocktail and just relax and unwind looking down on the ships as they pass out to sea. Rooms as always very well presented with the most comfy bed and probably the best shower ever leading to a great sleep ready for the harbour breakfast, continental or a great selection of cooked food followed by a pastry and cafetiere of local coffee. Then a short walk into Fowe (minutes) for a browse have a great meal and back to hotel for a snooze. One final note decided despite the abundance of local restaurants to book first night in the hotel and meal was so nice booked again for tonight. We stayed in the Hotel for 5 nights and had one evening meal in the restaurant. The food was good, although the menu does not seem to change and no specials on offer. Would expect Cornish crab and lobster to be on the menu too, but no. Fabulous views even without a window seat. When the bill came we saw that we had been overcharged for a glass of wine. This was removed but with no apology which prompted us to remove the optional service charge. We chose to eat elsewhere on the other nights, but I most say that in general I love the Harbour hotel chain.

Lovely Hotel, great views across the harbour. My daughter's put money into an account at the Bar , Birthday present, this done Hotel knew it was my birthday, on arrival at room, welcome message and really high quality chocolates as a present, a very nice thoughtful thing to have done. The Menu is a bit limited but good. Full English breakfast is £10 extra and in my experience from this visit cooked showing lack of care. The Continental Breakfast is suffice but croissants not as fresh as I would expect from the Hotel. Evening meal however the exact opposite, really good dining experience. Beware of discretionary service charges . I like my wine, on enquiring corkage is from £20 per bottle, so our , fine wine, was drank pre dinner in our room, £10 corkage ok, but £20, really? Receptionists extremely helpful and definitely on the ball. Limited parking at the Hotel , so perhaps best book days to stay when parking is 100% available. Would I go back a third time, yes of course I would.

Harbour hotel in Fowey used to be a lovely place to stay. Unfortunately now their prices have gone up considerably and it represents poor value for money. I booked a bed & breakfast rate . At breakfast I was informed this only included a very limited continental breakfast. Hot drinks (£4.75 ea.) and meals from the kitchen (£10 ea.) are no longer included. On my next visit, I will stay at another hotel in town….

Really enjoyed our stay here. Had a great view of the harbour, though the weather meant it was mostly grey!

Wow. What a lovely place, with a great view of the estuary. Beautifully presented, with good food and great staff. Bed was enormous and comfortable, and the mini bar was nicely stocked. Just don't forget to book a parking space. Thank you !

Have stayed here twice this year and both visits have been lovely! The view from our room was amazing, really good size rooms and the bed was super comfy. All the staff were so lovely and polite. I didn't catch the barman's name but he was super knowledgeable about the cocktails and you could tell he took such pride in his job it was really lovely to see! Breakfast and dinner was lovely and a good variety to choose from. We paid to park there as parking is hard in the area, but worth it for the peace of mind and easiness. Thank you so much for the lovely stay!

Bravo! What an amazing and memorable stay! We stayed for 2 nights at this amazing hotel, and we enjoyed a complimentary upgrade to a sea view room! The room was beautiful, clean and well prepared but a bit cold in the first night. However, the team ensured that our second night was warmer!!! The food was amazing!!! We had dinner and a lovely breakfast. Lovely food, well prepared and plenty of choices to select from! The staff were lovely, very friendly and always there to make your stay a memorable experience! They recommended us places to visit and a few tips for the town!

Had a gorgeous meal at the Harbour Hotel on the first night of the Christmas market. We were staying there for the first time and the staff were all friendly and professional and the food was delicious.

Lest be honest this wasn’t our first choice but it was Friday evening and most places were already fully booked due our lack of organisation, this looked like the best of the remaining options who had a table. How lucky we were! The staff were friendly and efficient, slightly embarrassingly we both independently chose the same dishes, the twice baked cheese soufflé (albeit mine with the added smoked haddock) and the catch of the day which was sea bream fillet. All the food was absolutely perfect, we genuinely could not have found anything which wasn’t quite right or could be improved, a properly really good meal, very happy.

Very difficult to find, no signage at all, there was another couple standing looking at the building not sure if it was the right place, we rang them and they confirmed that we were at the right place so we all climbed the steps up to the top and had to search for the entrance, again no sign to say you were in the right place. We were shown to our table and gave our drinks order, after about 15 minutes we were about to ask what had happened to them when a waiter bought them over. We only ordered a main which was very average, a couple sitting by us didn’t seem particularly enthused about their meals either. we were booked in for Sunday lunch but have cancelled after our experience. Staff were ok but all round definitely not worth the effort .

Lovely food, however the service was lacking - waiting staff constantly huddled around the terminal. Wine ordered with main course arrived after we’d all finished eating. Direct result of one barman trying to do all the drinks single handed including needing to leave the bar to go and make hot drinks. Total lack of enthusiasm from our particular waitress.

Spacious restaurant with panoramic views. Attractive menu. We had mussels, sea-bass and sole, very tasty! Pity that they don't serve fresh crab, lobster or oysters. Although we booked our table a month in advance we could not get a table by the window.

On a very busy evening the staff were welcoming, attentive and professional. The meal was very good and of course the view across the estuary quite beautiful (we had a table in the window).

We stayed in the hotel for 4 days, in one of the most expensive rooms. We had prebooked dinner for every evening. Plan was my celebrait my birthday, and my husband asked if a window table was possible. Answer was no, it's not allowed to preebook those tables. Ok. Why? Allowed..? When two tables were available shortly after, it would have been nice to be offered one of them, but no. The staff in the restaurant is eager to check you in, but then you're forgotten. It is NOT acceptable to wait nearly half an.hour for water, cocktails etc. We experienced average food, a couple of times it wasn't really eatable. Not having the ordered wine. Not having the ordered coffee. Short on staff? Well, it also depends on how you use the ones you have. Beautiful hotel, not good organised. This restaurant does not keep their promises. We heard the "boss" telling other customers how popular this restaurant is. Well, unfortunately everyone doesn't write reviews. We saw unsatisfied customers 4 nights in a row. Without reviews that shows their disappointment, you will keep the 4 out of 5 on satisfaction. You do not deserve it!

Amazing views and great lunch. Great service and very relaxed environment for family gathering of group ranging from 10 months to 87 Years! We all loved it and lunch was part of a very special day.

The Fowey Hotel is always a place we go when we visit Cornwall. This time we had an afternoon tea on the balcony overlooking the harbour. The service was excellent and a very substantial scone. It was so good we went for dinner the next day and it was the best meal I have had in a very long time! Wonderful service and the food was fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. The dining room is well kept and very comfort table with views over the harbour. I would recommend highly to anyone visiting the area.

We had dinner at Fowey Harbour Hotel on Monday night and really enjoyed our meal and cocktails. Staff was very friendly especially Layla, Lily and Carley.

The Fowey Harbour Hotel is superb, offering excellent service and quality. We stayed in a spotless, beautiful room overlooking stunning scenery of the harbour, the bedding, bathroom and all the fittings and fixtures are outstanding. The ambience of the newly refurbished rooms with the white shuttered windows and colonial decor make for a peaceful and restful stay. All of the staff are friendly, helpful and attentive, a special thanks to overnight manager, Tony or Trevor! for his great service and local history lesson during our nightcap. Overall we loved our stay and will definitely be returning at some point, the Fowey Harbour Hotel offers 5 star quality at a reasonable and affordable price.

Staff were very friendly and attentive. Room was very well appointed if very warm... We had a superb meal in the restaurant. Be prepared for the service charge and carpark charge which we were not aware of. Didn't spoil our time tho.

Stunning location with large open aspect windows offering beautiful views of the river & Polruan opposite. Came as a special treat for my Mum and not disappointed. Food & service excellent without being 'stuffy'. We had the special offer available on the winter menu on Fridays of 'Fizz & Chips'. Only downside was lack of allocated disabled/blue badge parking. Fortunately we had a car party of 4 so we could drop the less mobile ones off at the entrance and then park the car on roadside parking 5-10mins walk away. Once in the hotel the access to the restaurant (& loos) is level & wheelchair friendly

Expensive but what a fabulous spot to have lunch on the terrace in January sunshine . An absolute delight but I’m not sure I would visit in season . Fowey is a nightmare to drive even when it’s closed !

quel charme ! on s'attend presque à retrouver ernest hemingway au bar de l'hôtel qui donne sur le bras de mer.venez dans cet endroit, avec celle ou celui que vous aimez, le soir prenez un fauteuil le long de la fenêtre du bar avec vue sur la ville et le bras de mer, commandez un sandwich au fameux crabe de cornouaille, une bière et laissez vous absorber par cette ambiance feutrée, élégante, comme dans les romans d'agatha christie, tout en regardant les bateaux passer, avec un peu de chance quelques phoques remonter le courant, et le jour lentement se coucher! le bonheur so class!

Staff were wonderful Perfect location just five to ten minutes walk in to Fowey Service great I just think the menu choices could have been a bit better, including more vegetarian options, and the only veggie option was a bit poor. Otherwise, we had a truly fantastic stay here.

There was a problem with our booking at another hotel and the Fowey Harbour hotel was arranged as emergency accommodation for us. The hotel is beautiful and we woke up to a stunning sea view, but the thing that made our experience outstanding was the staff; Special thanks to Mandy and the whole team for being so kind and accommodating. They anticipated our every need in advance and went out of their way to make sure we were looked after. Thank you so much!

Just returned from a lovely few days stay here. What a treat that was. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left the staff were all so lovely. The room we had was absolutely stunning. The food was delicious, the afternoon tea was a treat. Just everything about this place was perfect. We will definitely be returning.

We were passing by and decided to stop and have a glass of prosecco to celebrate our wedding anniversary, hotel exceeded our expectations and we stayed for lunch too.

Part of the recently refurbished hotel, this sits in a lovely spot. As a hotel restaurant there was a quiet atmosphere on a week end evening in a plush dining area and adjacent bar. The bar was well stocked and had a nice cocktail menu of classics and originals. The menu was restricted but covered all the desired elements The staff were lovely and attentive. The food was absolutely lovely - Some of the best we ate.

As soon as we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and helped with parking - very useful in Fowey! The restaurant staff were lovely and looked after us all very well. We were celebrating mum’s 95th birthday so her pudding arrived with a happy birthday on it - plus candles! Food was lovely we all had roasts. Views are amazing either looking out to sea or the river. All in all a very good experience which we couldn’t fault.

Everything was great. The only fault there's no parking space for Disabled DRIVERS. Otherwise a wonderful experience.

The Harbour Hotel has the best location in Fowey, without question. The views are simply breathtaking, and the refurb from a few years ago has been tastefully and well done. I went for lunch with a friend on Thursday, 6th October 2022. The staff were pleasant and service okay, but the food was a little disappointing and over-priced, even in these challenging times for us all. The wine prices were pretty steep (£10 for 175ml) but sort of expected in a hotel, and worth it for the view as you sipped it! My sandwich was, unfortunately, underwhelming, made from what looked like ready-sliced bread, for which the choice was 'brown or white' - much as in a pub. In a hotel charging these prices, you'd expect freshly cut bread and perhaps a few more options. Sadly, my brown bread was dry. It came with a pot of crisps and no garnish at all. £12 for a prawn sandwich and £13 for a fish finger one. (Have to admit, had much nicer ones with fresher bread in one of the Fowey pubs and at £9 each, with a delicious salad on the plate. Healthier than a pot of crisps, too!) My husband and I had planned to dine at the hotel that evening but decided on reflection that we'd eat elsewhere. Would definitely go back for a drink on the balcony or in the bar, as the view cannot be rivalled, and I don't mind overpriced drinks so much as I do food that's not the best.

Went here for a family Sunday lunch Dinning area was lovely we had plenty of room around our table and very comfortable chairs We also had a lovely view out of the windows down to the river and across to Polruan The menu was good and we weren't rushed to make up our minds The food was gorgeous Staff very pleasant The only negative side for us was the walk from the car park We could have dropped the person off but there was nowhere to stop as it was extremely busy

Visited the restaurant again last night. Another excellent meal. Delicious fish starters and tasty, hot, well presented mains. Plenty of gluten free options. We will be back next time we visit Fowey.

We went today (4th September) for an afternoon tea at 4pm. Arrived early to have a drink in the bar which was lovely! Moved over to the restaurant and sat to have our afternoon tea, started off great even getting champagne with the sparking afternoon tea instead of Prosecco because a bottle had been opened the day before (the gentleman behind the bar was lovely). After we’d finished our food which was great…we wanted to stay and have another drink. We waited for our plates etc. to be cleared in what was a very quiet restaurant with two girls waiting on it. They stood at the service station chatting not paying any attention to us trying to get their attention. I asked for the plates to be cleared and to take the remaining food away in a box. Was handed a bag to do that myself (which is fine but the dirty plates were then left in front of us for a further 10 mins). I asked again for the plate to be cleared and the job was half done without any ask of if we wanted anything else. The waitresses continued to talk and not offer further drinks so we left…would have expected more from the setting and price! It’s a shame as we were having a lovely afternoon otherwise

We went here for a lunch on a Sunday. Food and service were spot on. We were with a dog, which was acceptable in the bar area. We would definitely go back, the views are also amazing. The fish and chips were spot on, but the peas! A different level! How can you make peas taste soo good. Thank you

Only visited for dinner one evening. By far and away the best place to eat in Fowey. Food excellent, staff and service also excellent. The view from the restaurant just tops off the experience. Great value for money, add this to your list of places to visit when in Fowey.

What a lovely relaxing holiday, in a gorgeous hotel! We had a standard room with a seaview, and it was so spacious. Lots of nice special touches too, complimentary drinks, lovely toiletries etc. It was lovely and clean, with a huge comfy bed. The food was fabulous, and the staff were lovely and friendly. Would highly recommend. 🙂

A chilly miserable and wet evening did not dampen our enthusiasm or enjoyment of this, our first dining experience in Fowey. Our window table for two afforded us a great view of the harbour, more of which we got to see as the weather started...

We had an amazing holiday, Superb location. The Hotel offers a really personal service, nothing was too much trouble from the housekeeping right through to the general manager. Hamilton has great skill and experience behind a well stocked bar, Tyrian is a credit to the hotel and leads a great team and in her words it's the little things that matter. The whole team take the time and genuinely care how you have spent your day. Looking forward to making a return visit.
