Had a two day trip to Cornwall to pick up my cornish pasties for the next year one of the best places to buy genuine cornish pasties keep me going to next year great

Happy memories of Anns pasties at the lizard many times. Although our last experience was in 2012. Having recently discovered their fast, efficient and quite frankly exceptional delivery service, this big taste of Cornwall was brought to us once more. A special treat for my elderly father, at the grand old age of 85, has brought back to life the small pleasures of Cornish air, a stiff sea breeze and the delights of a genuine Cornish traditional, all from the comforts of his armchair! Excellent service, speedy delivery and above all else, the finest pasty we’ve ever had! Dave.

During a recent trip down to Cornwall we were advised by a friend who is originally from the area to try a proper Cornish pasty. Being a little sceptical I thought a Cornish pastie is a Cornish pasty. If I had sampled one from a local bakery to me it would be just the same but to my surprise I was so wrong. They said to try one from Ann's Pasties so a quick google review gave me the location closest to me which was in Helston and off we went. To my surprise this commercial unit in a remote location had a queue just to get in. We both went with the medium steak pasty and to be honest by the size of them and filling we could have easily gone for one between us. The pastry was crispy yet chewy and the filling was nothing I had ever had before, just delightful. We decided to have one of the cookies each as a dessert which was also amazing. They sold some drinks we had never tried before called Kambucha which we were told are a love/hate drink but we thought we would give them a go and oh my what I can only describe as drinking vinegar. Never again for those despite their health benefits. Overall Ann can certainly bake and despite not trying any other Cornish pasties while in the area I cannot imagine them to be any better elsewhere. Im even looking at buying some online to see if the frozen ones are as good as the fresh.

The pasties are always nice from Ann's. The prices are also reasonable and there always hot.

Myself and my husband went to Ann's pasties in Helston. The pasties are delicious and especially the pastry, it's the best around! The cakes are absolutely brilliant, delicious and all look amazing in the counter. The chocolate brownie and cookie pie most definitely hit the spot!

Best pasty I ever had !!!!! But only just by like 1% as that one was form gear farm !! My god I almost did a Shirley valentine outside but I stopped myself as that would have freaked out a few people considering I’m a larger bearded man !!!

Have eaten Anne's pasties previously and been very good but the last two times they have been far too salty. Such a shame as lovely ingredients otherwise. Salt is such a serious health issue it needs to be used judiciously.

One of the best pasties in Kernow

I received my order of five medium steak pasties on Friday 26/04/2024 and boy was I pleasantly surprised , the size of the pastie was huge and packed with filling. The meat was tender and not chewy at all, the pastry was lovely and flaky absolutely delicious. I will certainly be ordering some more in the near future.

We were staying in a hotel close by, we were looking on Google maps at places nearby and we came across Ann's pasties & knew we had to try it out! We arrived at 10am and were greeted with a smile and were politely informed the pasties had just come out of the oven so we needed to wait a few moments! Within minutes we were handed our food & my goodness! The weight, smell & look of the pasties were simply mind blowing! 😊 the taste was amazing too! Will be back before we head back home that's for sure!!

Guirtlicker is a chalange, managed it, and so proud, cheese pasty is delicious for breakfast, beef pasty full of meat and potatoes, very nice, bought some to take home, been there many times a day will go back again and again.

Ann’s used to be the best in Cornwall by an absolute mile with no pasty even coming close to it. Unfortunately the last 18 months the pasty has been altered and is no longer anywhere near as good as it used to be. The filling is spot on however the change has been the pastry….. the recipe has most definitely been altered and is more ‘ chewy ‘ rather than how it used to be softer and flakey. Alongside this, they’ve changed the crimping? It’s moved more central and as a result less of the filling which is what used to make it stand out from other local pasties. Different crimping and pastry combined with them being more burnt in the oven with pasties appearing a more dark brown and is harder. The burning of the pasty is also meaning the beautiful filling is drying out at the bottom whereas for Ann’s this used to be the best bit of the whole thing was how juicy and gravy filled it was. We used to drive from Truro 1-2 times a week for these and now it’s every few months as they just aren’t the same. Please change the recipe back, and put them back to the size they used to be with normal crimping. Again the filling is perfect just not enough of it anymore and dried out in the bottom from being burnt. We had them today and it’s the worst they’ve been.

Anne's Pasties are, by far, the best to be found in Cornwall in my opinion and I've tried LOTS! Just the perfect amount of (really lean) meat potato and swede. Just delightful!

Do not buy for delivery !!! The worse experience I’ve ever had. The pasties turned up late and soggy. When calling the company they insisted I was lying and never ever have they had an issue which I found amazing. Honestly do not attempt to use them. It will only disappoint

First person just said available in 15 mins (at 1pm) came back to be told needed to order. So waited a further 15 mins. Then pasty was mediocre at best

Honestly I'm a little torn! I love my Pasties and been wanting to try Ann's for a few years now. Luckily I'm in Gweek for a few days so I took a trip round to test one out!l, unfortunately I left it a little late, so all the large had gone, medium it was then. So to start on a positive, easily the best pastry on any pasty I have EVER eaten, flakey and mouthwatering . I had waited to get home, so it was at a perfect temperature to destroy in one go.😊 Overall the taste was good but the one thing missing was the pepper kick, it was non existent, pasties need pepper 🤦🏼‍♂️ l the little bit of steak I had was all tucked down one end in the last three bites. So over all I was slightly disappointed my first experience 😞 However I'm not one to judge to quickly so will make a second attempt in a couple of days.

Great pasties - big chunks of meat in the traditional and tasty cheese in the cheese one. Also vegetarian ones was very nice. Medium size is pretty big. Flavours that are available for callers vary on just what they have cooked and what hasn't been sold. Staff very nice. Location is a bit tucked away and signing once you get to the overall premises seems non-existant so took me a few mins to find it. There is signage on the approach roads though. I visited twice and it was a 25,min drive so take that as a recommendation😊

We had a pasty yesterday at your Lizard point shop and we were very disappointed, awful taste and hardly any meat, the meat that was there was tough and there was no pepper. The young man that served us was not welcoming at all, he just told us the price, no please or thank you. We won't be buying again.

I think the best pasty I've ever had. We bought a steak, cheese pasty and 2 sausage rolls with sage and apricot. It was all amazing. No ordinary sausage roll! Amazing huge cookies too! Would eat these everyday if I could!!

OMG these pasties are amazing!! Just been on holiday in cornwall and eaten a few different pasties from various places and this one hands down is the best. Was red hot fresh fresh from the oven. The fullest meatiest pasty going, with actual chunks of meat in there too, has some right weight to it! The shop is small and the girl working the till was rushed off her feet when I visited yesterday but she was very friendly and still had a smile in her face. Was so full after eating a medium sized one. You won’t regret getting a pasty from this place trust me! Going to order some frozen to be sent home to enjoy as they are that good. Thank you so much 😊

£5 for a medium steak pasty that had 3 chewy bits of meat in and full of overpowering onion. Really disappointing end to our trip after such great food across the county.

Visited the Helston shop today after driving 6 hours to cornwall. First thing the smell when you walk through the door is amazing. I will start with the sage and apricot sausage roll. Wow no words can describe the absolute taste sensation that went through my mouth. They are absolutely amazing and I highly recommend you try them. 2nd was the steak pasty. My first bite of this took me back to my childhood and my Granny making Pasties for me. My Granny was from Port Isaac and made amazing Pasties but this shop wow they are fantastic perfect pastry the filling was very very tasty. 5 stars doesn't even give the food here justice. If you haven't been then you should. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable so don't miss out get yourself down there your taste buds will thank you.

Best pastie I have ever had, was full to the brim, lovely and warm and so juicy. Was not disappointed and was planning my next visit whilst still eating it.

Bought 6 large steak pasties after reading website, dreadfully disappointed. Almost no steak and loads of veg, way too much salt in them. I am from Cornwall with family there so know Cornish pasties. My wife and I ate 2 each over few days but just could not face the last 1 each so threw them away. We bought 6 large steak pasties and could not find any steak apart from a few small pieces. Will not buy again.

Ann has lost control of her online customer service. The shocking reponse I got when I asked a question re my pasties being delivered at 9pm at night was disgusting. Knowing Ann personally and getting this response was awful. I will NEVER order from her again or at her shop in the Lizard where I get lots from when home in cornwall. Philps here i come

Just had a veggie pasty it was hard on the bottom and dry, took it back they said it was because it was vegan pastry, it was the worst pasty I've had in Cornwall sorry but even a seagull would struggle eating this one, shan't be using Ann again, sorry

The small pasty is still big if you ask me and I don’t think I could have managed the large! The pastry was cooked to perfection and the filling full. I did feel that there wasn’t as much beef as I was expecting but it was delicious all the same. Note if you get there at 10 when they open you may be lucky enough to snag a bargain bag of 5 for £5 from yesterday’s left overs which are perfect to reheat or freeze for later. If you go to late though they may have sold out so you’ve got be there sooner to make sure you get a choice. They do also do sell vegan pastys. Also not the easiest place to find as it’s hidden away so follow the signs closelso you don’t miss it!

An old Royal Navy mate who resides in Cornwall arranged for two of these pasties to be delivered to me in the North East of England. What else can i say but absolutely superb...without doubt the best pasties i've eaten since i left the RN 31 years ago...

Not the best that I have ever eaten, but it is the closest runner up. Served fresh and piping hot. Could have had a bit more meat inside.

Only four stars.. fantastic pasties but the pastry was stuck to the bag! Also stored upright so the gravey was seaping out of the bottom.. (the best bit). Won't stop me returning for more..

I’ve never liked a pasties at home in Michigan USA but these were so good !! The crust was so flaky and my veggie one was incredible! My husband had the meat and it was really good with lots of filling.

More pastry than anything else.Flipping heck it was so hard going. Meat was tough and some potato was hard. Had one a couple of years ago which was nice but gone downhill since.

Why do you always find the best place to get the most delicious pasties on the day before you go 🤦‍♂️ please if you want an authentic pastie then take the time to go visit Ann’s pasties either at the Helston shop or Porthleven, these are many levels above the mass produced ones you buy in the branded shops, for me only one place I’d go now,

Purchased two medium steak pasties were extremely salty. Mentioned this to a local who said they had same problem No a patch on Pengenna's at Bude.

I was sent 2 large steak pasties for my birthday. Half each, along with white and sweet potato mash, cauliflower, broccoli, onion and mushroom gravy. Made an amazing meal The other one was had with chips and beans, about a month later. Keeps well in the freezer. Gonna have to order more.

Amazing! We noticed the sign to Ann’s as we were passing through town and said we had to try before going home. And oh my days I am so glad we did! The pasties were red hot, so much flavour and the BEST pastry! My other half said it was the best pasty he’s ever had, and I have to agree! (we’ve been home two days now and he’s still talking about it.) can’t wait to return next time we’re in Cornwall!x

Visited the Helston shop while on holiday in 2022 and loved the pasties so much. I had a delivery this year, and they were absolutely tasty and well packed. Will definitely have a delivery again and without doubt visit one of Anne's places for a pasty next time we're in Cornwall

We came late afternoon on Wednesday. After a very wet and windy walk at Lizard point we popped in for a pasty. They only had a vegetable and cheese and onion left. And they were the best pasties were ever had. Huge! And full of veggies. Full of flavour. A must go if you’re in the area!!!

Belive it or not its actually hard to find a proper decent pasty in kernow. These are top draw, ten out of ten never had a bad one in all the years, rite on. Ohh and apricot and sage sausage rolls are heaven

Very busy shop being the hub of the business. Luckily I had already decided to go for the frozen pasties to cook myself as I would have had to wait for the cooked ones. Always delicious but especially so when they are fresh out of the oven. The cakes were looking good as well

Fantastic meaty body filling food

Great find, best pasties ever and the large ones are HUGE!!! Called at the bakery near Sainsburys at Helston. Staff very friendly and helpful, choose from steak and cheese, breakfast, cheese and vegan. Also they do what I'd describe as rustic sausage rolls (normal, sage and apricot and black pudding). Plus a range of deserts which are to die for. Wouldn't go anywhere else now. You can also get Ann's pasties at local shops and restaurants. Brilliant!!!

Ordered these as late night food for our wedding - we had so many compliments about the pasties and unbelievably they all went (ordered 100 for 70 guests and they were a decent size)! They were absolutely delicious and arrived warm and on time. Thanks again!

I ordered Pasties to be delivered to friends. They all arrived on time and when they said they were going to be delivered. Everyone contacted me and said that they were very large and delicious. I ordered some that came this week, they were really large and the most delicious pasty that I have had. They do different sizes. Will be ordering again from Anne's Pasties!

A bit expensive at £4.25 for meedium pasty

We’ve being coming too Cornwall for quite a few years now. And by far Ann’s pasties are the best we’ve ever had. Flaky pastry. Full of steak and vegetables and very succulent. Deffo will be returning when we’re here visiting again.

The best Cornish pasties in Cornwall, I wish I could eat these everyday. They are very moist and juicy and the pastry is beautifully buttery. Don't get a pasty anywhere else!

Out for a weekend in kernow, and went down the lizard. Last time here we got the pastie out of a house..gone upmarket😉👍lovely medium steak pasties.. with a side order of a black pudding, apple & tyme sausage roll..which was andsome

Very Disappointed used to be the best around now the worsed we have had on this visit. There was nearly no meat in either pasty that we bought and the rest of the filling was quite bland to the taste. Such a shame.

Had a flaky pasty from a shop in Porthleven. Dry and we three away some of it. Have had much better pasties - various makes - but won't have another Ann's.

Popped into Helston to buy a couple of pasties. Absolutely delicious. Excellent pastry , great flavour and plenty of meat. The best we’ve had so far on our visit to Cornwall.

We tried several ‘traditional’ Cornish pasties whilst we were on holiday. Always interested to compare them to my own which I have been making to the Cornish pasty association recipe for years. Disappointed in most pasties in Cornwall these days. They seem to get away with selling any old rubbish to tourists. Tried Anna’s Cornish pasty. The pastry was not too bad, but my god the filling was so salty we could not finish it. We could identify the separate ingredients. But lack of pepper and the overpowering salt (and I like a lot of salt on my food) ruined this experience. I did complain by e-Mail, but this is one company that couldn’t be bothered to reply. Never again.

Delicious pasties, was about to turn back, cause i thought google maps had tricked me and had take me to the warehouse, but the door to the side does in deed take you to a small public accessible area where you can buy your pasties.

Love Annes Pasties, been a fan for years and really wish they would do Gluten free now theyve expanded. If coming to this location to grab some its well sign posted even if it feels like its just a warehouse. Go in the door and its a lovely little shop, they sell drink, crisps and some other bits and bobs in here too.

Been an avid fan of Ann's Pasties for 12 years, however, since takeover meat quantity has diminished greatly! Still a tasty pasty, but quality has dropped a notch...... shame.

Very disappointed, booked pasties as a gift, used them many times, their "courier" let them down so they were being delivered, when I enquired about compensation, I was told that they would get it from their courier shop asked what I would receive and got a telephone call to basically tell me nothing is on the t&cs not sure why a call was needed for that! . So customer service and loyalty is obviously not high on their list! Very very disappointed
