Tretho Lounge in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

My 3 year old daughter pointed out her cup was dirty. It would appear the same cups are used to give out colouring stationery that is used to serve drinks in, when I raised this, I was assured they was washed, despite chunks of crayon floating around in my daughters drink. Their response when raised with management was kids eat crayons anyway. To which I had to explain my daughter doesn't 🤔 have spent thousands over the years but to be told children eat crayons so it's acceptable to serve them drinks in cups that have been used to store 🖍 and still have wax in them I won't be spending another penny

Was part of a large party that planned on frequenting this establishment for a Birthday Meal, turns out you can't pre book. So upon arrival we were turned away as they couldn't fit us in. Very let down, we did however find another restaurant that did want our business.

This lounge is stocking ale / stout from Mine Brewery which is a 2020 brewery based a mile away which I would recommend to try if you like a good craft beer. It's great to see the lounge supporting local micro businesses and contributing to a lower carbon footprint by doing so . Plus it's very good beer! It's sometimes on tap or bottle , just ask the staff who were lovely and friendly .

Visited twice this month once with colleagues for our Christmas Meal and ordered Click & Collect food on NYE for lunch. Both experiences were absolutely fantastic. Amazing food and drinks at reasonable prices. Really friendly staff. Definitely recommend, oh, and it has amazing views of the harbour upstairs.

We came late around 9pm, looking for a bite to eat after a long drive. Ordering was very easy, the service in general excellent and quick. We recieved our drinks after like 2 minutes. Definitely recommend!

We had our works Christmas Meal here and it was delicious 😋 Reasonably priced, good portions and amazing cocktails. Great service and a lovely bunch of staff. Recommend the Chicken clucker Xmas burger.

Super location on St Ives seafront. Dog friendly & a great welcome from the staff. We had a window seat looking out at the bay in the dark with all the Christmas lights shinning. Nice & clean premises & clean loos. Definitely recommend.

We only had coffee but with the lounge you're almost guaranteed to know what your getting, it's like having a friend in different locations throughout the country!!!

I've visited St Ives a number of times now and something I find stressful is how hard it seems to be to find vegetarian food that is gluten free - and interesting! I did some research into places this time and had a look round at menus and still found choices limited. Tretho Lounge was one of the places I had found in my research and their outdoor menu showed that it would be possible for me to eat here. A quick check in with staff revealed that a whole gf menu was available. Choice is something I very rarely get with these dietary requirements so this was a godsend. Staff were not only patient but very accommodating which was a big relief. The food was good and staff checked in twice to ask if everything was ok which it was - SO good to eat breaded halloumi in the burger - like a fish finger sandwich I'd been craving for a while! Thanks a lot. Downside - can't add a tip with a card payment as you pay when ordering. If you don't have cash on you it's a no-go. A shame for the staff I think!

Great atmosphere, quirky and interesting. excellent staff, dog friendly. Great vegetarian options and some good cider. So good we came back a second time whist we were on holiday in St. Ives. Perfect locations with views from both floors. 5 Stars all round.

Thank you so much for our lovely meal on the 10th October, and for the generous gifts left on the two tables for my wedding party. The food, drinks and service was brilliant, and the venue was perfectly located on the beautiful St Ives harbour front. We'll definitely be visiting again!!

This was always one of my favourites but had bad experience in August thought it was just the time of year but how wrong I was. Went in yesterday for breakfast mine was cold and greasy no effort put into it sausage rock hard . My husband's patched eggs rock hard just horrible waste of money . Staff not clearing tables no one asks is your food ok . They have changed staff a lot and not for the better want be returning you had your second chance

Disappointed. last time we were here it was great, what went wrong? There's no longer table service you have to order at the bar! The coffee was bitter and cold and the cocktails watery with too much ice. The staff all seem to be lacking too. Last time we visited St Ives we ate at tretho lounge most days for breakfast, this time we went once and that was enough.

Hyggelig atmosfære. Heldig at få vinduesplads, hvor vi kunne følge tidevandets skiften. Velassorteret menukort med mange spændende retter. Især salaterne. Mange forskellige drikkevarer. Vi bestilte mad via hjemmeside og havde meget lidt kontakt med personalet. Rimelige priser

Popped in for a quick lunch - chap was snappy with my daughter for no reason. Food was ok - chips were warm not hot. Will reconsider our next lunch out.

Visited here almost every day for lunch or just drinks whilst on holiday. The service and food is consistently brilliant! 🤩

All the usual features of a Lounge with the added benefit of a wonderful view of St Ives harbour.

You may think, looking at the menu, surely Tretho have spread themselves too thinly. Surely one restaurant cannot excel at all of these kinds of dishes. But you would be sorely mistaken. Excellent food including an exceptional gluten free selection

Very relaxed atmosphere with welcoming staff. Dog friendly which was very much appreciated. Music and decor made the environment seem like home, I could've stayed all afternoon! When we returned in the evening for cocktails it was just as good!

Had my birthday meal here at the weekend with 5 friends, everything was cooked to total perfection and the cocktails were delicious. Despite it being busy, the service was really quick and efficient. We also had a lovely table by the window, thank you ☺️ (we booked in advance, we are glad we did because it was so busy)

After visiting the Concho Lounge we thought we’d try the Tretho Lounge. We were able to get seated straight away and had a brilliant view. Sadly the 2 tables that came in after us both got orders taken before us. Eventually I had to go the bar and ask for orders to be taken! We ordered a child’s meal and the server said we’d get hummus and things to dip with it but it never came. Can’t fault the food but not likely to return sadly!

We have visited many “lounges” in England and Wales and it is reassuring to know the same standards are kept at all of them. The staff are always attentive and cheery. The atmosphere relaxed, with low lighting, good (not too loud) music and the usual eclectic mix of pictures on the wall - not too sure what the St Ives arty types would think of the choices! Most importantly the food was fresh, tasty and good quality. I’m always pleased to see a “Lounge” when I’m visiting a new area, I feel safe in the knowledge that I have a reliable go to, if nothing else takes my fancy

Great experience. Great food. Ambience was on point. Such a vast menu and really good quality produce. The staff were welcoming. I would definitely eat here again. Down on holiday so never sure trying new places but this was spot on. Especially Tapas Tuesday with a free wine. 🍷. I would eat here again! They have just got everything right. And to add lovely sea views.

I visit this place every time I come to St. Ives. Maybe one day my dog will stop barking at the staff...

We find that the Lounges offer consistent quality, an interesting menu, good service and good value for money. This was no exception and we enjoyed our evening here sitting in the window looking out over the harbour.

Went in for the cheeky Monday deal. 2 great burgers, loved the smoky bacon. Topped off with a free pudding. What's not to like. Good hot food, friendly helpful staff. Great view over the harbour.

The food here was absolutely amazing, we stopped for lunch with a beautiful view of the sea & listening to sax.george (who was also epic). We ordered Twisted Chicken Club, Garlic Bread & chips. The food was fresh and extremely tasty compliments to the chefs. Molly our waitress was attentive, kind, professional & smiley. I would highly recommend this place for food and service defo return if ever in st ives again

On both of my visits to Cornwall recently, I've had a lovely experienice in the Tretho Lounge. The food was brilliant, and as a vegan it can be difficult to find a restaurant with a lot of PROPER GOOD vegan options, and so far everything was fantastic. The staff were lovely, helpful, and accomodating. The atmosphere was nice and we all had a lovely time regardless of our different dietary needs.

Its in a really good location but could do much better food wise. Always going to be busy given the location.

Main meal came out cold sent back, then took ages to re-cook!! Puddings took ages too.. when they did finally arrive!! very dry and ice cream had melted..!! Staff lovely 👍🏻 Food just about average 🙄

I enjoyed my lunch in this restaurant. They have some good selection of food and drinks on menu, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and above all there is a beautiful view over the St Ives harbour if u choose the outside table.

A faultless Lounge with great views of the St Ives harbour. Service is always very quick and food is consistently excellent. You can even get Henry Weston on tap! One criticism is that really, the food and drink is so expensive for what you get. Appreciate it's not this specific Lounges fault - but really the company is starting to price out ordinary people.

For the money I have had better.

Great place down by the harbour with good views, great menu all round. I am gluten-free, and they have a whole menu dedicated to people like me. The staff are friendly and are well clued up on it and can double check with in seconds that the menu is as meant to be. Food is great (visited for food twice). The atmosphere is good all round, and pricing is good to we spent around £45 each time for 2 of us. Will be going back for sure.

Amazing Breakfast yet again, very friendly staff nothing is too much trouble. We've been coming in here for a few years now & it's certainly the best place for a Breakfast & the menu always looks amazing with lots to offer. Very highly recommended. See you on our next visit

The family concensus is that this is the best meal we've had since moving to the UK a couple of months ago. Highly recommend the Nasi Goreng (if you like spicy) and the Bang Bang Chicken. Loads of delicious drinks, wine and beer available. We'll definitely be back if we visit St Ives again.

We came in last night as a group of ten to celebrate a birthday. Every party member said the food and drinks was great, flavoursome and they were happy with quality. Our family group were from aged 8 to 66 and everyone had an enjoyable evening. The staff that we came in contact with were amazing, happy and cheerful, nothing was too much trouble. We had a wheelchair user up in our party who remarked how kind the staff were but never condescending! As we live in St Ives we will definitely be dropping in again in fact we can’t wait. Thanks for a great evening we had a blast!

I had the Miami brunch. The poached eggs were a little too hard-boiled, but otherwise it was delicious.

Well, what can I say? Like an episode of faulty towers….. My wife ordered the stacked pancakes with maple mascarpone, blueberries, and berry compote. She asked if she could have maple syrup when it arrived, and was told that would extra, as not part of the dish- fair enough. However, what wasn’t extra, and a culinary delight for her tastebuds, was coleslaw!!! Yes, you read that right- the ‘chef’ instead of putting mascarpone on the pancakes, had put coleslaw! Easy mistake I suppose, as I always like a good helping of cabbage, carrot & onion in my mascarpone too. Undeterred, like a trooper, she ploughed on, and went for the sticky toffee pudding, with peas & gravy for dessert….🤦🏻‍♂️🤮

We stopped by for a meal after having a walk through St Ives deciding where to go as hadn't booked anywhere! it was the last night of our holiday. Ordered the bang bang Cauliflour (with noodles) and the cowboy burger. Both were delicious. We sat outside, nice table overlooking the harbour despite being a bit drizzly. Was slightly concerned we would be bothered by seagulls but luckily we weren't! We had two rounds of drinks, the wine was good, my Mojito was nice but not very sweet, not sure if there was any soda or syrup in it. Anyway, it was a really enjoyable evening, the staff were friendly, they were very very busy but a friendly chap still managed to ask us if everything was OK with our meal so that was kind of him and we appreciated it. All in all the place has a lovely relaxed holiday feel. Toilets were clean and decorated nicely . We would definitely come again.. thank you so much :-)

Myself and my daughter had a late lunch today, we opted for the chicken, bacon & avocado salad. Food was delicious, lovely fresh ingredients. Staff very friendly and welcoming. We are local to St Ives and came in food in between shifts. Thanks guys we will be back ☺️

Absolutely delicious lunch here, myself and my family all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I had the Moroccan flat bread which was excellent and so tasty. All the staff were brilliant. Thank you so much :)

Lovely place with cool decor and nice vibes. Great position to sit outside on a nice day and watch the world go by. The food was very nice but expensive but I guess that's it being in St Ives. The staff are really great..friendly enthusiastic and efficient.

Stopped off for some late night drinks. Bar had a great range of cocktails, beers and gins. Reasonable prices too. Really nice vibe and decor. Dog friendly too.

Stopped in for breakfast and it was great. The service was fantastic and everyone had excellent food. The ice coffee was great and the view of the harbour was a perfect was to start the day. Highly recommend.

4 of us ate here and only one meal was below par which was due to it being lukewarm. The chips that accompany the burger are a very small portion. Burgers were nice.

As a celiac disease sufferer, it is wonderful if there is your own GF menu. Any contamination will still be pointed out again. And then the dish you ordered tastes good too. I have very rarely experienced that. Clear recommendation and thank you for the very friendly service!👍

I love this place. My girlfriend and I went last night and have been many times. Which in itself tells you a lot. But if you want very tasty food in a great location and it always be reasonably priced then this is the place. The service is always great with friendly and polite staff who can’t do too much. Well Done

The menu was varied and offered a good range of options. The meal portions were a little on the small side. Two of my three children did not like their kids meals though. I wasn't overly kean on the garlic and parmasan fries. The food was OK just not great.

You can order from a qr code at your table or at the bar. I had a full English breakfast and tea. I ordered via the qr code and liked the way you can add or subtract items from the plate. The bacon is back bacon which was tasty. Beans were nice. Sausage and mushrooms were lovely. All food was hot. Not piping hot but hot enough. The waitress checked all was OK with me twice which I appreciated.

Came just before dinner thinking we was late for breakfast. Well what a surprise as this turned out to be one of the best breakfast I've had . Loved it. Staff were friendly

We were in St Ives in half term and all the restaurants were booked so we could only get a walk-in here. A bit worried we could walk in without a booking but it was fine in the end. Food was fabtastic, the Cowboy Smashed burger was amazing. Service was good and staff were friendly. Can't fault it.

The lady who served me my cocktails was really polite and quick. There was a male customer before me who was extremely rude and aggressive to her and she handled it amazingly. The staff were going as fast as they could for such a busy bar and they were doing really well. Well done for handling the situation the way you did and shame on the man for being so nasty to her.

Atmosphere and service were fine. Friendly and polite staff, accompanied by a clean dining environment. The food on the other hand was very poor. Milkshake was like water with whipped cream on top. The fish finger sandwhich, for over 10 pound was a terrible excuse for a dish. Cold fish and cheap stale bread just thrown together with no real care. Although this product was refunded, this doesn’t replace the fact the food was poorly made.The cowboy burger had a generic bbq taste with no distinct flavours. Very disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend based on the price and quality.

Great location on St Ives harbor. Went here for dinner and were surprised by the nice decor and the good music. There were chicken wings, which tasted really good. There was also a smash burger, a vegetarian noodle pan and a curry. The burger and noodle pan were also good, only the curry could have been better. Nevertheless, we would come again!

Lovely & friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Incredible ambience and a beautiful view of the harbor. Personally didn't like the Caribbean chicken as it seemed a bit bland but the buttermilk chicken breast was outstanding - good flavor and huge portion size. Definitely worth a visit.

Nice place to stop off. Good food choice,plenty of drinks on offer and reasonable prices too given where it is. Staff run round like crazy at times.
