The best restaurants in Fowey Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

Whenever I'm working in Fowey, I make a point to visit Quay Bakery and stock up with their baguettes, sourdough, Gouda pasties and treacle tart. This month I discovered their Eccles cakes - the best I've ever had. Everything's good, a lot of it's sublime, the staff are lovely* and the prices are fair. Faultless. *The other day I didn't have time to wait while they cut the new treacle tart, so on their suggestion I paid while I was there and went back after work when they were shut; but they came to the door with tart bagged, and a smile. Brilliant service.

Gorgeous ice cream and lovely staff. Not over priced either for a busy tourists destination. Would recommend the sticky toffee flavour

Lovely friendly local pub. Excellent service, really enjoyed the meal. My only comment is that the vegetarian menu is very limited

Lovely burgers, we had house (aged beef and pickles) and chicken. Both excellent and potato salad delicious. Can eat outside at 4 turning or order and collect.

I enjoyed the best meal of our two-week trip to England at Da Kona. The fish was fantastic, as were the side dishes and the sauce was surprising and very tasty. Definitely a recommendation!

Really nice place and great food, why are people complaining about prices and being a tourist trap what do they expect, anyway worth the money 100% will come again. Really nice village also and love the ferry crossing.

Really tasty Crab sandwiches. We were looking for a light lunch and the crab sandwiches were perfect for a quick lunchtime treat . Great service and super friendly staff & lots of interesting dishes on the menu . Great selection of Teas Will definitely come back soon

From the moment we walked into Sams, we were greeted with the friendliest & warmest of welcomes. Both front and back of house staff were as helpful as could be and nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely amazing with ample sized portions. One of, if not the, best eating out experiences we have ever had and would recommend to anyone!

A fantastic place to visit in a lovely location. I’ve been several times for food and drink. The staff are highly attentive and the food excellent too.

Beautiful pub, beautiful location, BEAUTIFUL Mussels. Visited on NYD afternoon. Miserable blowy pissy weather but still good for a stomp up the beach with the little beast. I gather there may be times in the year when dogs are not allowed on the beach, but no hint of that in early Jan. Parking is quite tight, but is free if you're using the pub! Plenty of signage to inform, simply give your reg at the bar. Lovely atmosphere in the pub, Dan and the other staff whose names I unfortunately didn't catch were friendly and accommodating, and all a pleasure to chat to, chipper and enjoying what they do, despite the NYE hangover! Was served a lovely cup of excellent coffee and an arguably better pint of well cared for ale. My other half devoured the Sausages & Mash and I was presented with the most monstrous steamer of fresh Fowey mussels I've ever attempted. Absolutely perfectly done. Just. Nope. That's it, that's all that needs said. Bit of a trek down from Wiltshire to become a regular, but I'm absolutely ducking in next time I'm down this way, these folks love what they do and they do it damn well. Thanks very much!

Sad to say that Pinky Murphy’s is no more….it was a super quirky cafe come coffee shop come artistic venue. Guessing Covid, Brexit and rent all had something to do with its demise.

I came last week, first thing and booked which was good as it got busy quickly, the staff were wonderful so friendly. I ordered the pancakes and the eggs Benedict and both were perfectly cooked and delicious. Coffee was great to, can’t wait to return.
