I enjoyed the best meal of our two-week trip to England at Da Kona. The fish was fantastic, as were the side dishes and the sauce was surprising and very tasty. Definitely a recommendation!

Fabulour restraurant - beautiful decor - amazing friendly and caring staff - fantastic delicious food, what more could you ask for? Also, tonight, Wednesday night is smooth jazz night, so another perfect evening at Da Kona's. Thank you to all the staff throughout. My steak was mouth watering and my partner's cod with the mussles was very tangy and tasty. Looking forward to returning again and again.

We had a lovely Friday night dinner at Da Kona last weekend. With lots of other places in the area closed for winter, we were lucky to get a table at the restaurant, which is part of the Wyndham Trenython Manor hotel. The dining room is beautiful - its walls are covered in ornate old oak panels (salvaged by the old manor owners from York Minster, we were told). It was soon completely full with a buzzing atmosphere and friendly service. We began with a small but tasty starter (bisque and ravioli covered in a Cornish cheese fondue) followed by the chicken supreme stuffed with mushroom duxelle and served with crispy bacon, fondant potato and pea puree. It was juicy and delicious. My husband had the pork loin with a seriously good mash and sticky parsnip and shallots with crackling. So good. My eldest son had the same and my youngest had a huge portion of perfectly crispy battered fish and chips which he loved. Sadly the chocolate cremieux with candied popcorn was off but the blackberry posset tart was a dainty sweet treat to end a memorable meal. At £32 for three courses, we thought it was fantastic value. We’ll be back!

Went to an impromptu gig by the great singer song writer, Roo Panes, after his original gig (at The Minack Theatre), was cancelled. The Crumb was a great venue, a little small...or intimate sounds better, but Roo and band performed amazingly and it was a treat for those that travelled a long way to see him. Thanks to the Crumb for hosting.
