A super place to visit and eat.

Really friendly service and lovely, freshly made food. Also had coffee and hot chocolates and all were really nice. Gera place for a quick bite to eat.

Room what's supposed to be accessible No where to place toiletries near shower, 🚿 water came out as a trickle no pressure whatsoever grouting in shower tiles brown absolute disgusting.no seat near sink to brush teeth etc Room needs a revamp so does the shower room. I can't believe an accessible disabled room is on the first floor along an extremely long corridor turn left and another extremely long corridor I would not call it at all accessible it states on the left do not use in event of fire I use an electric scooter because of mobility issues this hotel is definitely not disabled friendly it needs to be looked at or rooms health and safety designed by a disabled person!!!!

This restaurant really exceeded my expectations! The service, the food and the view were all exceptional and it was a real treat. The menu was beautiful with lots of lovely choices, mainly fish themed and the food we had was amazing. The service from staff was brilliant and I'd highly recommend visiting here!

Staying a the hotel for one night whilst down on business Hadn’t realised Zacrys had moved to where Emily Scott’s / Watchful Mary’s had been so thought Zacrys was closed (no one mentioned when checking in which I guess was a bit remiss) Anyway no biggy Ate at Living space instead Friendly service Nice glass of red wine- at 14 quid it needed to be :) I had the Laksa and added chicken Decent but at £26 with the chicken - so again, it needs to be good - I’d personally slice the pak Choi up - took a bit of eating

Absolutely superb. Fantastic lunch, great service and amazing view. Plus it’s dog friendly. We will definitely be going back.

I wouldnt go here.. they are all miserable & you are better off going to a nicer independent business, we went here & it is extremely expensive for what it is & the food isnt even good, we was given a burnt hard toastie & the service is awful, all the staff are horrific, they need training in basic attitude if theyre facing customers all day!

This was my review a year ago and you asked me to give you another chance which I just did (May 2025): there is more crab in a crepe suzette than in your pasta, same goes with the lobster and monkfish burger… Good food however portions are getting smaller every year. You should not leave a restaurant hungry and with nobody saying: “thank you, looking forward to seeing you again”

Rarely do I give bad reviews, but sadly when I have a bad experience, I will share. The customer service here was inexistent. I entered at 7:45 with my sons to join our party of 12. There was no enough room at the main table, so my children and I sat at an adjacent table and waited for someone to greet us, address us, and take our order. Nobody ever did. Nobody even came up to tell us it was too late to order. We're sorry, nothing. How can we help you, nothing. We just sat there waiting for someone and it never happened. The rest of our party was getting their dinner delivered and we were still sitting. After an hour of being ignored, when I saw the staff scrubbing down the kitchen, I finally spoke up and asked if we were ever going to be able to order. They looked at me and said nothing. I've been in customer service my entire life. This is 100% unacceptable. If I had done this to a guest, I would lose my job. This place might have good food, but after this experience, I won't return. This was the second time at this restaurant, and the second time I've had a bad experience with service here. Sadly, I was so upset, that i didnt even get to stay and enjoy my family that was visiting from out of town. I'm really dissapointed. Life's too short to spend my money at an establishment that has no interest in customer service.

Been coming down to Wax from Leeds for over 20 years and as always this year it is still as great as ever! Great food (had the pizza to takeaway and was delicious) Great beer! Fantastic staff and a new manager (since we were here last September ) who was very friendly and welcoming to us and more importantly to our bulldog Humphrey 😊 obviously this is a very dog friendly place.

, it was busy, only really booked because I was staying in the hotel. Didn't expect anything special, but got decent food and beers, and excellent service. The same staff were on for breakfast early the next morning. People are quick to complain but it's a hard living to earn for them. Had an evening meal, pizza and G bread for the son, I had mixed grill and upgraded the steak. They're offering a few deals atm for a %tage off - Been to so many places like this where it's only been acceptable, but it was great 👍🏻

Whether you're staying in Mawgan Porth or nearby Watergate Bay, make sure to stop by. As a bonus, the stunning beach views make the experience even better!

The Merrymoor is our absolute favourite when we stay at Mawgan Porth and we dine here as often as we can. The Sunday carvery is excellent 5 star and their burgers are so tasty, especially the one with yarg cheese. Friendly and welcoming staff as well. Thanks all at Merrymoor from these very happy Moors.

Yet another great meal with friendly, helpful staff. Big shout out to Tracy, who served us, again really helpful and went out of her way to check orders were correct and everything was good. We come here at least once a month, it’s a lovely atmosphere and good choice of food at a reasonable price.
